RIP Unshou-san, I remember sakaguchi-san told in an interview that Unshou-san kept asking him when he will be invited again to gintama recording session. apparently he liked his hardboiled role a lot :)
and he's not shy or too proud about doing zenigata's many... questionable antics. it's very rare for seasoned VAs there to take on goofy roles, but apparently he loved playing zenigata so much, which is why he's so excited to do it again. it is sad that while zenigata does have a pretty substantial role in the yet-unaired part of gintama's final arc- which is going to be made into a movie soon, unshou-san is no longer here to play the wacky hardboiled detective. a moment of silence for ishizuka unshou.
Ahhh this is my 1st time hearing Miki-san on an radio. The 1st time I saw him talking on screen was when he was being interviewed but he only talked about his major roles like Roy Mustang & James (Kojirou) from Pokemon
Thank you so much for the sub! In 3:11 下の名前 (shita no namae) means "first name". Dai-san says that Unshou-san tried to remove his nameplate because his first name was hard to read, and that's why he wanted to add furigana or "ruby characters", something like ルビを振る. Than he was told to do it by himself.
@@kdjoshi726 It's another name for "furigana", you can search it up, basically it's small kana (hiragana/katakana) written above or besides kanji to aid in reading. They are especially relevant for names, as Japanese names sometimes consist of rare kanji that few people know how to read, or have special reading for their kanji.
The reference at 2:56 is of the charcater Puck in Midsummer's Night Dream (a play by Shakespeare), a fairy spirit famous for causing mischief and chaos.

Ah, vomiting scenes. The cornerstone of Gintama.
I always wonder how Miki-san do the sakamoto laugh perfectly even though it looks very forced and silly 😂😂
3:14 daisuke's laugh so cute
Positive vomit..... seriously, this anime is.....
And rip Unsho-san, I enjoyed your powerfully ossan voice.
May I know what was the cause of Unshou's death?

1:38 This part of translation is wrong, Miki-san is talking about how Unsho-san used to vomit in real life. He said「結構普段吐いてるよあの人」. 「あの人」= Unsho-san
Trivia : Miki Shinichiro & Ishizuka Unshou relationship in other anime is that they are the seiyuu(s) of the fastest drivers in Initial D.
plssss the ossans are so precious :
