This is my husband’s favorite cake. I’ve been making it for 50 years. I’m making it for him for his 80th birthday on the 15th. This cake is so rich, it should be cut in small pieces to appreciate the flavors.

My Mother made Hummingbird cake that was amazing. I had never had Italian Cream cake until I went to Alaska for a friend's wedding. I fell in love with it, begged for the recipe and came home and made it for my Mother. It became her favorite cake but I haven't made it since she passed. After watching your video I made one. I cried the whole time I was making it but it turned out delicious. Thank you for bringing a little bit of my precious Mother back for a visit. I love your videos! ❤️

Before my mother-in-law passed, she would make Italian Cream Cakes during Christmas time and give them away as gifts. She would take two recipes and make them into 3 two layer cakes. Our pastor would get one every year. My best friend's daddy pastored our church when she was a little girl. She would tell me how they looked forward to Mrs Alberta's Italian Cream Cake every Christmas. My mother-in-law said they froze very well. She would make them ahead of time and pull them out of the freezer before giving them away. I love all your videos, but today's video brought back some special memories for me. I was blessed to have Alberta in my life and as a mother-in-law. Thank You!!

I like both camera angles, sounds good. My Mom always made Italian cream cake for special occasions, so delicious, she would put her dry ingredients in a piece of parchment paper, then slowly pour, no proof(lol) of ingredients. God bless you all much love from WV.

Peaks. My grandma and mom used the back of a spoon to create peaks in the icing. I almost forgot about that. I LOVE Italian Cream Cake. One of my favorites but I have never made one. Here I go!
