Hi , My goodness, I have done the same thing till I Learned too always dampen the flour in the wet ingredients you already have in your bowl. The Flour is stable then and will not make your clothes white. lol, It works!! Love your channel so much. God Bless You and All Your Family.
Leslie, you are the most beautiful and real person I follow. I showed one of my friends your channel and she said, “She is beautiful!” I replied “inside and out.” Nothing fake about her. Stay the way you are. 💕💕 Bryant is a nice bonus.
Oh my goodness!! I'm definitely going to make this!!! Thank you for sharing!! Judah is such a great kid! He is confident and well adjusted! Great job bubbles!

That cake looks soooo good. When I think about fresh coconut, I think about my GreatGranddaddy,, he would always have fresh coconut cut up and a big peppermint stick that he would break up, that was our CHRISTmas treat from him.It was so good. PRAYERS
That looks DELICIOUS!!! I love lemon and coconut, so how can it not be? And, I don't get the big deal about the word "moist", either. I used to make and decorate custom cakes, and my cakes were moist. Moist, moist, moist. lol Haha I probably just put someone over the edge. I don't get out much, let me have my fun. =D =D =D Thanks so much for sharing!
I like it when you have the full frame of you and what you're making at the same time I think that was better like you did a couple times last week also they make splatter guards for them now too that would help you out a lot you wouldn't be wearing the flour if you had that on Leslie here is another good tip for you before you ice in your cakes stick it in the refrigerator for five or 10 minutes and then it won't rip your cake while you are frosting it I bake cakes off and on for a couple years and that's what my teacher had told me to do it keeps it moist and without ripping your cake to shreds
That was really good that she did that for you. Black walnuts is one flavor I don’t like. English walnuts and pecans and Macadamia nuts but not Black walnuts.

@@TheFarmingPastorsWife No it wasn’t fast we watched it on another iPad, then I got on mine to comment. It was a mess. We have tried several coconut cake recipes lately, yours was the best so far. The one from Paula Deen, second.
Looks amazing. Just thought about a Kitchen Aide accessory you might enjoy as much as I like mine. It is the splatter guard for the mixer. It fits right over the mixing bowl and has a shute for adding the dry and liquid ingredients. I was having to cover my mixer with a tea towel to prevent my powder sugar from flying. Works like a dream.
Well tonight was the last night of our VBS, there were so many kids that attended, almost 300 each night. and 11 of those kids got saved this week, and the kids collected over 1500.00 to send to missions. It was a blast. we do penny drive during this week, they bring all coins they can each night. there teachers always helps out. it was the boys against the girls, and of course the girls won again this year. Yay.
No we have around 500, but this Church is so giving, there have been a lot of people been out because of Illness , or vacations, but our Pastor asked everyone to plan there vacations around this event , to help . we spend a lot of money for this VBS, but it's worth it if it gets the kids out off the streets. we do horse rides, we have a blown up mechanical bull ride, one of those mini barrel trains, and few other things. It's like a mini carnival. It's only four nights ,but it's always a success, they also make a good meal each night for the adults, we drive over within several towns around us to pick up kids who want to come. we are truly blessed with everything that 's involved with this event. Our church has truly grown in the last 4 years.
This looks like a great cake. My husband loves coconut. But we don't have frozen coconut up here in Calgary Alberta Canada. I just got some bakers shredded coconut on line from Amazon as we no longer get that here anymore. Can I use it in this cake in place of the frozen one? Thanks so much for your help. I really love your videos. I have 6 grandchildren and I know how your attention goes off the task, you are doing when they are around. It also happened when my 4 children were small. Children always want your undivided attention all the time lol
That looks so delicious Leslie I can’t wait to try it and try it on my family and kids are not crazy about coconut but at least they’ll try it I love coconut it was my mom‘s favorite cake especially for Easter 🐣 so I’m going to try it this weekend for Sunday dinner and your lemon 🍋 pound cake I’m going to try that one also she love lemon 🍋 pancake 😋 thank you so much for sharing ….

He makes me laugh out loud! I know Pastor Bryant was really happy to be the taste tester! Love you guys, God bless you all ❤️🙏🤗
My husband is not a fan of coconut. On the other hand, he loves lemon cake. I may try your recipe and only use lemon flavoring with a splash of vanilla. Then, I can make a lemon icing with some lemon zest sprinkled on top. You saying, "Bewicious!" reminds me of my son. He could not say ridiculous. It always came out, "Diriculous". May God bless...

Leslie in Bryant's grandmother's day family members helped. Family wanted to eat the good food and helped either cook or occupy little ones. Men worked outside the house..farming or whatever and women took care of the house, children and cooking. My Grandpa was a sharecropper and my uncles helped and the girls helped Grandma. My mothers job was killing the chickens(2) for dinner and babysitting her little brother. There were 8 kids so 10 people to feed. Momma said they had skinless chicken before it was popular. Today family creates more work for the Mother or Grandmother. Society expects to be super woman unfortunately. As women we want to cook and take care of family. (Even though I do not like to cook 😊)
Yes - thar zest just has so much oil in it that it becomes really hard to sprinkle. I usually just hold my microplane right over what I'm putting it on. As you said, putting it in the coconut/powdered sugar mixture would have been great but maybe adding a teaspoon of powdered sugar to the zest might have worked and made it easier to sprinkle? I'm always forgetting to do a step and having to figure out how to (nicely) recover - ha! Life just wouldn't be that interesting if we did everything by the book. . .
I’ve never thought of the word moist as being in any way insensitive or inappropriate to use. I am very hesitant about some words and certainly object to profanity. Moist is just a word. Can’t imagine it as an inappropriate word in any way or context.
I haven't figured out the word "moist" bothering people but my oldest granddaughter can't stand the word moist or purse so naturally her daddy likes to ask her if her purse is moist lol... just to bug her
