Yooooo! Thanks for watching and scrolling down to the ole comments section... If you enjoyed this video, consider coming to the next monthly live show where I film these. The show has comedy from me and other comedians, as well as trivia. Super fun. If you aren't in NYC, you can livestream it too! Just finished reading Patrick's book which I thoroughly enjoyed. And recommend! Only been to the Met twice as I live in CA, but the book refreshed my memory. Really enjoyed this interview. Wish I had been in the audience. Good luck to you both.
would love to tour the met with Patrick... and Tom! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😊💛
You outdid yourself again, Thomas Delgado. Keep up these interviews.
There's more coming!
@@tomdnyc1 Looking forward to it!
Wish more people would appreciate these type of postings. 3.5k is criminal.
I bought the book at the show and Patrick signed it. If you love the MET its a very interesting book to read to see the guards' view of what you experience at the Met. By viewing these paints for hours on end, he develops unigue understanding about what is going on in the paintings.
Nice. Now that's a review!
Love these interviews, especially this one due to the outlook on life, enthusiasm and favorites of Patrick Bringley. Thanks Tom. 👏👏👏
Yeah, it's enough to restore your faith in humanity... almost!
Interesting show. I can feel his love for the museum and the art that surrounded him. I can see that certain paintings were like family to him. How he was able to build stories around them and make them come alive.
Yeah, spending 10 years with some of the best paintings in the world doesn't sound so bad. Definitely gives him time to think about them.
@@tomdnyc1 As an artist I can appreciate it:-) 🎨🖌
I have too many books already but I might have to purchase this one. Tom always has a way of finding the most interesting people.
Do it - it's a quick read!
Tom hey ! What's up? Another cool story and amazing interview as always!!!
Tom another informative and interesting interview. I’ll have to read this book and appreciate Patrick’s insights.
Do it. It's a nice quick read.
Neat, interesting show... thanks for sharing.
Thanks, Lisa. Check out the next one on April 1 if you're around. Or if you're not, there is a livestream!
Ooh. This is right up my alley. I go to the sfmoma every week and the deYoung (which gets the Met's shows afterwards often) almost as frequently).
I often engage with the guards who have both taught me stuff and let me ramble.
🙇♀️
Oh yeah. People don't often think about them - they all have an interesting perspective on the museum, at the very least, because they've spent so much time in there!
Totally enjoyed this. Gave me a new appreciation for the guards working the museums around town, like what an interesting beautiful place to have a job. You know in the last year or so museum workers in several cities fought for + won union representation. You love to see it.
Maybe I should think about applying 🤔
Do it!
Thanks for the interview.
As a side note Michelangelo "Mikey" Bounarroti suffered for his art painting the Sistine Chapel since he had chronic kidney stones and severe gout which made him wired out hyper to the point the Pope wrote "Geez, Mike's giddy again."
(The mural "God Separating Land from Water" is depicted as a kidney. Guess, then, its autobiographical.)
I gotta feeling that this Mikey's art is going places!

Nah, kid's too slow
A paint roller and extension
Bada bing, bada boom
Great job Patrick & Tom.
Thanks - we had ourselves a time!
That was a great interview, so informative! I like the "Jesus pictures" remark. He's an eloquent speaker who really knows his topic...he did write a book on it. Sounds like a good read!
Yeah, check it out. Pretty quick read... I feel like that's a big selling point to a lot of people!
👍❤
nice. I like the use of the Oxford comma
It's criminally underused.
Plasma globes to Dendur.
Tom…youre a mets fan..? 🤭
To be honest, I am indifferent, but a fan of the underdog!
😂 you cant take it back now
Like like like
Has anyone ever told you that you look like Bob Weir
Noice 👍
