Not really, no. Anime is quite a shitty one (as well as the series as whole), actually. But characters are great, and it has some unexpectedly good moments (like a very realistic depiction of libtards)

I really want a third season but I know it most likely happen, If there is a third season i want there to be a new character just so they can introduce the mc with his full title and achievements, them start getting really nervous and then it’s just him.... (in all his glory)

I feel like that's why I kind of lost interest in it. The idea of a fantasy world spilling over into ours by another dimension or whatever is intriguing, but this just didn't hook me.

She's a priestess of death, someone who kills because her god calls for it. She almost exclusively kills other killers, and civilians are quite safe around her. She shows that she cares about other characters, and even takes risks to protect them.
I know right. The first time I was watching it, I expected the monsters and dragons to be immune to the bullets as usually but SURPRISE. They murdered the empire when they attacked Japan, I absolutely loved that battle.
But I want alittle more action. The diplomatic relations was fun ,the conversations were down right hilarious, and the STD joke was amazing. But still more action, maybe against some witches
If you put one of those in a decent series with potential to fail, that character will ABSOLUTELY carry the show if used when there´s no good plot at all and you need a failsafe. DaL uses this by making Kurumi killable and unkillable at the same time.
I remember being so obsessed over this anime and this opening back in the day! I'd put on repeat for hours on end, it's just that good. I miss discovering new interesting anime, even if it's kinda bad, but enjoyable regardless.
This anime is very underrated and it also gives a very good possibility of a cool video game crossover set up. Modern military versus medieval military.. probably be a lot of fun
We NEED more Gate. Season 3 plz. Gate is one of the most underrated anime ever. I love Rory so much with her Unique “status” makes for a good story with her relationship/love for someone even going as far as force coz of her jealousy. I can’t say I’ve come across many Rory type Characters with a “status” like hers. Maybe Kurumi from Date a Live, Ristarte from Cautious hero and some girl from Death March.

personally, the drama and trauma of Re:Zero and the inhuman strategy of NGNL are much more appealing to me; and both hold a closer spot in my heart, within the isekai genre. but i can't deny that, GATE's illustration of a highly advanced society of our modern age interacting with an isolated and effectively medieval society in both battle and in politics, was fairly gripping when i first saw it. not to mention the implications of magic.

This anime is just a game of Civ when you’re still in the medieval era and the barbarians have tanks and machine guns
