    Finally someone else who finds it difficult to connect with this deck as a tarot. I have this deck and don't use it because there are so many cards that I just can't relate to as a tarot card. I just stare at them and try to find the meaning of the card and can't recall what the card is supposed to be about. I love the artwork and that is why I bought it but I was so disappointed at how difficult it was to read. I said to myself this deck would be much better as an oracle than a tarot deck and then it would make some sense. Good video on how you reworked this deck and made it better and more readable.👍💖

    All these years working with the cards and I've never thought of repurposing a deck like this! Absolutely amazing! 💖

      Thank you so much, I think it's a great thing to do when you like the cards (or some of the cards) but the deck as a whole doesn't work for you. 😊 Thank you for watching!

    I LOVED how you structured this as an elemental oracle deck!!! What great groupings you created. Thank you so much for sharing this.

    You are so good at thinking outside the square (rectangle!) visually. The window for the minors was a brilliant aid. Enjoyed watching this, thank you.

      Thank you, the window was a little extra work, but it really did help me determine where to cut. 😊 Thank you for watching!

    Wow, this is genious. I know this an old video, but I'm a new sub and I'm binge watching all your videos😁 You are so awesome -btw, I have this deck and have the same problem with it. This is a great idea, so thanks for giving me some ideas to put this deck to a different use in my collection:) Now I'm going back to watch more of your videos and can't wait to try to make some deck bags like yours -thanks again:)👍😉

    Alot of people don't like The Good Tarot, but for me, I love it! I connect so well to the imagery, and adore the deck (i have alot of decks), the only thing I would probably do to this deck is trim the cards using the back lines as a guideline, due to being very big cards, i prefer smaller cards :) each to their own, depends on the person! I like what you did with the deck anyways, looks cool in little squares x

    • @DawnMichelleTarot
      @DawnMichelleTarot  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I prefer smaller cards too! 🙂 Thank you for watching! ❤️

      I too love this deck because of their positivity, I just trimmed it and it is still beautiful

    You always have the same visions I do when I first get decks and you always bring them to life for me! Between the Good Tarot thinking it would work amazing as an Oracle and the Literary Witches Oracle using them as separate decks, I am amazed how in sync we are! I feel so much better modifying the deck for my personal use. Love it! Thanks 😊

    TY for sharing your process of making this deck into something you can connect with!! I have to trim this [Good Tarot] deck b/c it's just toooo big and sticky. But I can see myself going thru this same process with another deck in the future.
    Do you have any videos (or resources you can share) about integrating square decks into a reading? I *just* made a square deck (modified Messages from the Light) and would love more ideas!

      I am so glad you enjoyed it! I don't think I have any specific videos about working with square decks. For the most part I use them as a normal shaped deck, unless it's something that is meant to be read directionally. I'll see if I can mention that in a video next time I work with one of those decks. 🙂 Thank you for watching! ❤️

    No flip thru of the new oracle deck😢
    I have a hard time with that deck as well. But images are amazing. I’m going to repurpose mine somehow too. Just curious of what you think her new map oracle deck?

    I don't like this deck, but yours looks pretty usable. But the point is, a video like this shows that you can modify a deck in order to get the most out of it. :) That was something I wasn't even thinking about when I started using decks.

    • @DawnMichelleTarot
      @DawnMichelleTarot  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I am so glad you found it helpful! I have a lot of decks that don't totally resonate out of the box, so if I can add my own personal touch to them to make them work for me, I'm all for it. Plus, I just think it's fun. 🙂 Thank you for watching! ❤️

    I have this deck!!! I do not use it at all. It is a stunning deck- but I had the same issue. I couldn’t resonate the art- with the meanings... (I just commented and watched the Nicoletta Ciccoli deck. THEN came across this! I thought it was me! I just couldn’t resonate the art, with the elements, or the trump cards, so it’s been with the collection! And I know many love this deck, however it’s just not something I’ve personally connected as it is)

    • @DawnMichelleTarot
      @DawnMichelleTarot  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have a whole box full of decks that didn't connect with me! Sometimes though, like this and the Nicoletta, I turn it into something that will work for me. 🙂 Thank you for watching. ❤️

      Boho Tarot watching has given me a whole new perspective on the decks that do not resonate with me!! Thank you so much for sharing all of this! I re-do old furniture, and do decoupage... cards are tough Bc of them being thicker. But I started my first project and it’s a shelf, with little cubbies sort of, like a spot for Knick knacks to go... I’m taking different cards and putting them into the backs of the little cubbies and going to use it for some of my crystals, or some of the things I would keep on my altar... that I have more then one of, like a bell for example!! And I can even buy something like this at a craft store, unfinished shelf with little cubbies. The cards totally make it pop!!! I’m not sure I ever would’ve thought of that had I not seen this! (Well clearly i havent!!! I’ve been re-doing old furniture for a few years now, and never thought to use the cards that aren’t being used. So it’s not the same as what you’re doing! But!!! So far I am thrilled with how this is turning out! And excited to make more!! I guess I needed something to jog my creative side!! Thank you again!!!

    I would never want to read with someone that pulls cards what if I am connecting to that energy as someone that you're reading????
    interesting!

    This one might not be worth saving...too many iconographic errors for this RWS traditionalist. 😞
    But trimming the borders is always a good idea. As somebody with teeny-tiny hands, Tarot cards with large borders is the bane of my cartomantic existence. 😫
    The roaming “number sunburst” made this really awkward for reworking for me. So I gave my copy away.

    • @DawnMichelleTarot
      @DawnMichelleTarot  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I almost gave my copy away as well because it didn't work for me as a Tarot. Thankfully it works a little better now for me as an Oracle. 😊 Thank you for watching!

  • @MoonVixenWitch

    I love the artwork on most of these. I don't resonate with some of the imagery in terms of what tarot card it is supposed to be. Also, it's way too big for me to use comfortably and the card stock is so stiff and thick that I can't shuffle it well at all. Very interesting how you restructured it!

    • @DawnMichelleTarot
      @DawnMichelleTarot  4 ปีที่แล้ว

    How does this read for you and do you find yourself using it much?

    • @DawnMichelleTarot
      @DawnMichelleTarot  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I did not read well for me so some months ago I turned it into an oracle deck (I have a video on it in my Transforming the Tarot playlist I think.) I like it better since I redid it, but honestly, I don't use it often. Some people love it tho! 🙂 Thank you for watching. ❤️
