  • We took a spontaneous trip on our way back from denver to montana. We spent the 1st night in Ouray, Colorado and then hit Poughkipsie gulch and Black bear pass. Spend the 2nd night in Telluride, Colorado before heading to Moab for a short day trip and then on home.

    Grate vid and awesome music choice, even at hyper speed lol. Appreciate your videos as I'm just in prosses of getting a gen 3 like yours, love all the info for the upgrades thanks. Exactly what I want the truck for. Thank you so so much.

    Dang man that’s way out the way to get home. I love Poughkeepsie is pretty gnarly. I took my completely stock 2001 Montero up there (not all the way to the top). It took it like a champ. My 16 yo daughter wrecked it so now it’s going to become a designated family trail rig. I appreciate your videos, it’s giving me some good ideas for mine.

    Really nice video! I have a Pajero 3 2001 and it’s going to be my new project offroad buddy. I’m currently thinking about buying new tires:) Thinking about KO2 or KM3 and can’t make a decision. Which one you think is better for casual off roading and for a snow (because I live in Lithuania and our winters get pretty deep, and we have mud everywhere). Thanks a lot for your videos:)

    • @montanamontero
      @montanamontero  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have had several sets of Ko2s and really like them. If you are going to do real hwy miles or live where there is snow they are better than the KM3s

    Really enjoying the work and the outcome you have on this amazing car. You said you dont have the lockers, is it possible to put lockers and still use the traction control ?

    • @montanamontero
      @montanamontero  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      yes, you can get lockers, but if you are fully locked then traction control is useless to you. however you could use it for just 1 axle if the other is locked up

    Awesome video brotha, question, you said no lockers. Is the 4LC not working for you?

    • @montanamontero

      center locker is working, but i don't count that as a locker because every true 4x4 has it. i was talking about front and rear lockers

      The closest you can get is the 2001 XLS, which has 4.9 gears with a Hybrid-LSD in the rear. I swapped those into my 2005 and it really makes it a killer off road.
