It's worth mentioning that Faf was nominated for World Rugby Player of the Year while at Sale too - he also stands alone on that list as the only WRPotY nominee! 🤘
Inga - D ?? The man was a rugby superstar, a world record signing for Newcastle, and crucially, at the dawn of the professional game, turned the tide of union players going to league as he was one of the first massive names to jump the other way, giving Union a great boost. Oh, by the way, a tremendous player and apparently a lovely bloke. RIP.
Wasn't he also instrumental in turning Jason Robinson's life around when they were both at Wigan - so had a huge secondary impact on English rugby as well.
It's a sin Schalk Brits isn't an A. He raised Sarries to the top. Also, grading A, B, C, D is a bit like a school report so D seems like a failure. How about Superstar, Legendary, Outstanding and Real Class or something similar.
Do a tualagi teir drop episode. You might need to wear riot gear for whoever you put at the bottom but it would be funny to see which one is top. Even Henrys kid , who played for France, is like 150kgs and looks like he could end planets by running into them, Beasts, all of them, in the nicest rugbiest sense of the word.
Fair to say Recency Bias is very much evident in the video? :) Honourable mention for #7 Akapusi Qera, didn't win the Prem during his 7 seasons with Gloucester but was a phenomenal player who was nominated for Prem Player of the Season in '08 finishing just behind Olly Barkley & James Simpson-Daniel.
So many to name, the Tuilagi brothers, ibanez, De Kock , Akapusi Quera, Brits, Castro, Bruce Reihana, Nick Evans, Jacque Burger, John Afoa, Thomas Castaignède, Geordan Murphy, Augustin Pichot, Crevvy
Castro, tuililagi (multiple), matfield, carlos Spencer, reinach, Britts. That's just off the top off my head and all would be on that list before ni white
@@Stvalgore89 it's about their impact in the prem, not how good they were before they went to the Prem. Victor Matfield's best form was 2005-2010, he retired after the 2011 World Cup then was convinced to come out of retirement in 2014, played a last world cup then did played for Northampton for 6 months & they finished 7th. Compare that to a player like Schalk Brits who only got 15 Springbok caps but was at Saracens for 9 years, won 4 Premierships and 2 Champions Cups or Nick Evans, gave up the All Blacks to sign for Harlequins at 28, stayed for 9 years won the prem
@@TheMintedAero1993 did they say it was about impact? If they did I genuinely didn't hear it, my mistake. I was just listing greats who played in the prem, yes he was past his prime but was still a great player who played in the prem.
No list is complete without the greatest import of all time Schalk Brits
Agree don't get how these boys left him out
He was the best import. good call

They're too young to know what a player he was!
Well in fairness he was a union player first, so hardly world shaking move. He just came home ....
Happy New Year DC and the people who are watching this at home ❤️👊🏾

Where is King Carlos for Northampton. Absolute baller.
