- Rin started the new year off right with a power-point but chat was feeling generous and things deteriorated from there, also I would like to mention this stream was just over an hour and this many supers happened, honestly impressive.

Well I mean, the agency takes a cut if they’re a part of an agency.
There’s income tax. There’s also either twitch or TH-cam will take more of the money.
Donating on-stream, she gets like only 20% of the money it is. That’s mostly TH-cam and twitch’s fault.
Better to buy merch most of the time cuz then the agency gets 50% and the Vtuber gets 50%, usually.

I love how much of a character breakdown Rin had through this, from the slight character of "Rin" that she puts up falling to the wayside to her actual character just having a breakdown and being completely unable to cope. Let’s assume for the sake of my sanity the following things:
- TH-cam takes 30%, since we have no idea what devices people were on when donating (apple, for example, has a different cut then pc viewers.)
- Idols Cut is 15%, which includes income tax. I know it’s probably higher, but we are being generous for the meme. Also income tax in the uk is weird.
- We aren’t counting memberships and treating them as regular subs (free) as this video focuses on the donations
- The conversion from $ to £ is 1 to 0.80 (as of writing this)
- All cuts are taken AFTER everything is added together.
**In USD** the total amount that was thrown at rin BEFORE cuts is $1134.45
After cuts? $510.49-ish
Assuming this is sent through straight to her bank as is, with no translation fee, here are the UK equivalents:
£914.41 before cuts.
£411.45 after cuts.
From one stream? Yeah she understandably has a reason to freak out.
