with 2 toilets, 1 is already nearing redundancy and is almost unused(speaking from experience) and why would you need 2 full kitchens??? I get the mini kitchen and kitchen #1, but the other kitchen does basically nothing no??? isn't it useless???
@@ssjcrafter8842 we also have 3 toilets, but it’s not that uncommon since there’s usually one for the master bedroom, another for the other bedroom and one in a more common area like near the kitchen
@@roowut yea, some houses (and rarely apartments) do a 1:1 toilet:bedroom ratio, and there is a phrase of a “half-toilet” (bathroom with just a toilet and sink and no shower/tub,) but even with a large family/house, I can’t imagine two kitchens being at all useful unless one isn’t a fully furnished functional kitchen but just a smaller fridge + prep area.

I'm genuinely curious of the layout of their house. Never met someone with two kitchens and two washing machines in one regular sized house, which leads me to believe its one of those semi-detached houses that one family lives in so its technically one home made of two homes or they have a mini-home at the back like some Fresh Prince pool house stuff.
From everything we have been told, she lives in a mansion

@@volbla Not really, there's Cockney, RP (Received Pronunciation) and sort of the outer boroughs accent that you're more likely to hear in an everyday conversation. The country itself has well over 30 not including Scotland and Wales.
Rin's accent lacking ng-coalescence (pronouncing the /g/ in /ng/ instead of [ŋ]) makes me think of some part of Midlands. I'm surprised no one ever mentions this.
On the other hand, her mum has ng-coalescence, which means either Gin moved to somewhere Rin's native accent is from, or Rin used to spend part of her childhood in a /ng/ area.
Also Gin sounds a tad bit more posh than Rin to me (the L sounds especially lighter), but I feel like it might be just a generational thing.

The English thing of putting washing machines in the kitchen is barmy to me. I find it baffling.
You know what strikes me as useless? 2 kitchens and a washing machine (NOT dishwasher) in each. Why 2 kitchens, and why 2 washing machines but NO dishwashers.
The "2 kitchens" part just sounds like whom ever designed the house wanted a particularly big house and put in 2 kitchens to fill the redundant rooms.
The English can cut you off at the knees in the most polite way possible, I love it.
