Thanks for these kind words. I am glad you enjoyed it. This was a long time ago - over twenty years. The village now has a road, electricity etc. So it is much changed. A number of Thak Gurungs went to work in Bombay too...

Dear Alan Macfarlane and Judy Pettigrew, I just wanted to thank you both for posting this video. Watching this video, remind me my childhood time and remember my childdood friends. I used to live in Lamjung, Nepal but I left my beautiful village in 1970 after finishing my fifthe grade school because there were no any other higher school in highland territory, and I went to Bombay India with my uncle. Comparing this place with my village, this place looks very poor area and I feel so sorry.
