    Lovely video. I am surprised though to see their labor characterized as "gruelling". I saw poor but happy villagers leisurely tending small gardens in an earthly paradise.

    I liked the scene with the woman stone grinding millet while wearing a modern wristwatch.

    finger millet was major grains in Hilly region of Nepal 20 years back, these days people are giving up to cultivate due to endless hard work and less return than efforts, Major obstruct is traditional way of farming, constantly we are looking for modern cultivation and scientific way of farming but still have not found. it is high value of nutrition and fiber. Specially it is really good for patience diabetic and high blood pressure if you consume everyday in your meal. we can use millet grains for breakfast as like porridge and bread. In Nepal they use as like as bread called roti and pan cake as well dhido cooked in boiling water.if anyone has a scientific idea of cultivation of it please share it on comment box.

    @hugleberthumperdink Point take, quite likely the opinions of these village vary as widely as do ours. One man's Himalayan heaven is another man's hell.
