I do enjoy the friendship episodes as a reasonably new (2020) mythical beast, as there are a lot of stories I haven’t heard, but, I’ve been working my way back through EB episodes and I love the ones that are a bit more random, like the rabbit hole ones, or AMA ones etc. This concept was really really good and it was nice to see you guys having so much fun with it as well.

Hey guys! I listen to Earbiscuits every Sunday during my ironing in front of the T.V. It's easy for me to iron away at a relaxed pace with your stories. What I enjoy the most are your holiday/travel stories. It's always fun to experience the experiences along with you, and also feel like the other person who is also listening to each other and giving comments about the trip. So maybe take lots of weekends away and trips because I will listen to all of it. Cheers! Link brought me back to my DJ days in a virtual nightclub in Second Life. Taking requests was expensive because if I didn't already have the MP3, I was quickly buying it from Apple or Amazon. 🤣 I had software on my PC that emulated a full deck of gear. So fun. But I'm sure the technology has come a long way. Hearing about that high quality streaming service made the 💡 go on. No more gigs of MP3s on external hard drives?! 🤯 I need to get back into it!
I really appreciate Link's DJ sensibilities. Starting with music you can easily talk over is fantastic. It is so difficult to parse words that people are saying over blaring lyric music. I also think it is amazing how you took the request and found the vibe they were drawn too! Then took that info and were able to DJ on the fly!
One time I was djing when I was 13 years old at a party of my brother’s friend and I was playing songs they didn’t like. I didnt have any other songs besides the ones i had planned to dj, it was pretty soulcrushing when they ALL left. My brother and his gf and a different friend stayed and told me to play my favorite song and we all started to jump. Its such a core memory in my djcareer and makes me kinda emotional telling this comment section haha. Nowadays any party I go to people ask me to play my playlists or I dj and they tell me im great at djing. I would love to help link with his dj skills bc i have been doing this a long time and im truly a mythical beast
Since the pandemic began, I do most of my work in the back room. I'm the boss and the person who has to organize everything and make sure we're keeping up with the deluge of items pouring in. Prior to this, I would prep my iPod (something I no longer use - pandemic has seen me switch to Spotify) with various playlists suiting who I was working with, etc. It always made me feel great when customers, coworkers, etc complimented what I was playing. Had it on a playlist for me when it was just me working up front and a customer said that the radio was on a run of hillbilly music (Hank Williams Sr, Bob Dylan, etc). Proceeded to go on a streak of why it was terrible music in a long rant. One of the only times I've experienced someone do that. With the amount of thought, care, etc that goes into a playlist, it feels horrible to not have someone appreciate it. My one coworker hates when I played sad music. I would try to cut that out for her. They've gotten big for their britches in the last few years. I was working up front with music playing. We went to lunch and I paused it. I like to see the stats associated with what I've been listening to and we eat in another room. The one coworker raced ahead of me afterwards and put music on. Terrible music. They've gotten used to controlling the music. I'm not one for modern country or kid's music (the one enjoys it and puts it on if kids in the store). I don't like hearing the same music all day long in a loop either - especially when it's not something I like to start with. Once we finally catch up in the back (praying we do), I'll have to regain control out front, music-wise. LOL.
Rhett Milkshakespeare sounds like the thing I was horrified by most in school decades ago. Assignments? Breaking up into groups? Doing a presentation? Thank god there's alcohol in the milkshakes because I've done plenty of presentations in my life I had no hand in putting together my guy 🤣

I think a great couple of episodes could be ones dedicated to collections. Link collects records so that's an option. Rhett has musical instruments of varying types. Stuff like his whale vertebrae. Don't have to be all of one specific grouping but rather of varying things. I'm a few weeks behind (as you can see). Prefer video to audio so am finally able to start catching up.
