In the course of my duty, I visited the Komo airport during the initial construction phase. The local people complained that the lumber chopped down were just buried in the galley by the company instead of allowing the land owners to mill and sell to earn some income.
Very difficult terrain and very "unfriendly" for the equipments and machinery. We manage to keep the fleet running because of a team work and a constant training and skilled technicians. Thank you all PMV team I am proud of you all
Very interesting project and well put together documentary. My only criticism of the documentary is the use of the African background track. Surely, it would have been more contextual to contract a local band from Hela Province to produce a background track.
So I landed today in ms flight simulator and found it weird that there's an airport in the middle of nowhere with instrument landing system, now I know that gas paid for it :)
Remember that this is all forced on the indigenous (Black) People/ indigenous People of Papua New Guinea. They did not agree even if they had cheered this on
