Cool to see you talk about a fan film! While most are hit or miss, I think Never Hike Alone in the Woods is one of the best F13 movies, despite being a fan film.
With the exception of THE HILLS RUN RED, and HOLLYWOOD CHAINSAW HOOKERS, I haven't heard of any of these titles. And, haven't seen ANY of the movies on this list, but quite a few of them look like they'd be worth checking out. I so miss video stores.
I really liked Mask Maker, I bought it on DVD years ago when I was plowing through about every cheap or less known horror film trying to find anything good and this one made my collection. The Cottage is so friggin great.
Jimmy's Chicken Shack? ...Now there's a name I haven't heard in a long, long time. A long time. No joke. When I was a senior in high school in 1999, I had a classmate who was a huge fan. The band had some sort of appearance on a late night show (I don't remember which but if I had to guess it'd be Conan O'Brien) that he played on the VCR during our sociology class constantly.
Thanks dude, I really appreciate it more then you know. I watched the Cottage maybe 15 years ago and dug it but I was never able to remember what it was called.I would always get it confused with Botched
The third episode of the Channel 4 version of Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared, called “Family,” has several TCM references including an exact recreation of the shot that starts the “dinner” scene. There was another episode that had a recreation of Frank’s rebirth from Hellraiser.
I love Reese shearsmith gets his toes cut off with the spade, you impress me with your UK knowledge, Josh you seen the never hike alone ft13th fan films? Would love to hear your views on them, maybe do a fan film special one day?
Are you familiar with the Skeleton Key films? There's 4 so far from 2006-2017, and they're low budget horror-comedy-musicals about an evil scientist taking over a town and filling it full of monsters. The protagonist Howard always ends up there with a different group of oddballs like a gay pirate, a Hatian taxi driver, a mute vampire ect and they try to defeat the evil. There's 4th wall breaking, time travel, improvised dialog, and musical segments. I think it would make for a fun movie timelines video.
Suggestion for a part 3 if you ever make one. Mark Polonia also just made a movie called "The Last Chainsaw Massacre" (he did not even try to hide the fact it was a rip off) Imdb says it released but beside the imdb page I can't find any info on it . The one poster I found shows the killer and he looks just like Leatherface to to point I feel like Mark could get sued over it the description of the movie on imdb even describes the killer as "A man who wears a human flesh mask".
During the video nasties debacle in the eighties the word chainsaw was removed from the vhs cover so it just read Hollywood Hookers. The film also had every gore scene removed. Bad times.
i watched the last 30 or so minutes of mask maker aka Maskerade on tv several years before i saw any texas chainsaw film so this stupid movie was my first experience with a leatherface type character lmao
look, you have commented this so many times. the mic that i have is the best one within the budget i can allow. if you would love for me to buy a better one, please consider heading over to my patreon and helping me get one.
Loved Hills Run Red, though it ends on an extremely dark note. The Babyface twist at the end still gives me goosebumps.
Linnea Quigley never disappoints.
No, she doesn't.

Lol I auditioned for the hitchhiker role in Sawyer Massacre.

"The Cottage" is a lot of fun.
I like Hills Run Red, nice little twist in there

An American horror fan who knows the League. This is why I love your channel.
such a phenomenal and underrated show!
You got all my attention when you said : Jimmies'chicken shack.
Nice video and thank you for making it.
13:22 Fuck yeah! Chainsaw Sally!
I used to watch that all the damn time in high school.
Subbed and liked for that one 🙏
Congratulations to 60k sub's.. hoping to see you reaching 6 Million! You deserve it man 💪❤
Maybe it's in the other list, but kind of shocked The Loved Ones and Butcher Boys weren't talked about.
Thought I knew ‘em all, but I have never heard of that Junior movie
I love Reese shearsmith gets his toes cut off with the spade, you impress me with your UK knowledge, Josh you seen the never hike alone ft13th fan films?

yep. in fact, kinda soon.
Man, I love The Hills Run Red!
The guy from The Cottage looks more like a Victor Crowley knock off lol
Man, this is a fun list! I definitely need to check out a few of these, especially Junior and Hollywood Chainsaw Hookers!
Suggestion: Town That Dreaded Sundown and Toolbox Murders.
Just to note confusion here. The Sawyer Massacre is a 2022 fan film prequel of the 1974 The Texas Chain Saw Massacre.
Damn I miss gunnar hansen

Great video 💯
A movie you could add to your 3rd Texas Chainsaw Massacre ripoff list is this movie called Tokyo Homestay Massacre. The title says it all.
You forgot Motel Hell. That was another good TCM ripoff.
Motel Hell is in the first volume of TCM ripoffs.

Gee, I wonder who that old man running the store in Chainsaw Sally could be...
Part 3 suggestion frontiers
that was almost on this list. perhaps the next volume
I had Fred an llynea out at the drive in for vhs fest in 21
Sophie Monk - hooray for Aussie representation!
Jimmies chicken shack reference??? He'lls to the yeah!!!
Is that an Atom and his Package short?
it's not an official one, but that's why i bought it. atom was peak.

Hollywood Chainsaw Hookers is such a fun flick.
it really is.
ugh Junior lol
bought it on vhs at a flea market probably 15 years ago. bad “slasher”
Clearly these are just coincidences
You can only call Mask Maker a TCM ripoff if the baby only aged 18 years in 4 decades
yay :)
Buy a decent mic, for the love of god
