🤯Ok wow, that was helpful. I'd seen this but associated it with really high feed-forward and really high PD and/or PID slider settings in BetaFlight. Makes sense, I really only saw this when tuning to find the upper limits and doing really violent yaw moves LOS looking for erratic behavior (like jumps). Since I'm typically not agro on yaw - I never see this when flying and just thought I was setting my max FF and PIDs properly 😆 So yeah - thanks for the education - this is incredibly helpful!

Curious what lighter/heavier props do here... I'm guessing the rest of the flight envelope would be too unduly influenced if you carried heavier props just for yaw moves.
Hi there, I have a similar problem but not qzite the same I believe. My 7" has a very delayed yaw response on light and steong stick movements and I have no idea how to fix this. :(
I've just built a 5 inch drone, now testing the motors without the props, when I move the throttle up and down, things are normal, but when the throttle is even slightly up and I move the stick to left or right, the motors behave strangely, moving the throttle down after that doesn't slow down the motors. Could this be wire interference? Please help me out 🙏
Why not reduce Yaw P Gain? Surely that would reduce the push on the motors? Also, what frame is that with the Air unit? I have a spare one kicking about and the freestyle frames are all ass heavy with it so I'm looking for a centre mounted frame.
If it is air mode that is causing this, you could program logical switches on the radio to have air mode off all the time, except when you go to cero throttle, so you get air mode only when you lower the throttle to cero. JB also has a video on this. would this fix the problem?
Good day Mark. I have the superfly 6s tune with rpm. But it has no dynamic idle. I guess superfly doesn't use any. Can I add some ? Is the value 30 ? Someone told me to put 70 for superfly tune ? Thanks a bunch.

I redueced the I-Term for Yaw. It helps as well.

I like the fact at 0:44 that the props on the right side of the 5" quad Mark is holding is the correct color to be blending in with the background.

Try iterm relax on RPY and see how it changes yaw bounce. It helped on my Hexplorers.
I added a extra cap and the pwm to 48... had it to 24. Fixed
Would reducing the yaw PID sum limit help?
Some kind of Airmode intelligence would be so choice! I spend a ton of time upside-down and yaw panning in my freestyle.

30 to 40 is all you need. 70 is 7,000 RPM! That could be close to a hover if no GoPro

I have the airmode on the switch, you can't do playground slides with the airmode 😂
Didn't know motors spin down on fast yaw movements. Most of the props aren't designed to spin down..
