Beheli32? I thought they closed up shop, from my understanding you can't upgrade your firmware or downgrade your kinda stuck on whatever you got as of now!
Your style of explanations hit so true to home for me, super logical in your reasoning and you explained it really well, cant wait to try this out on my kwads, thanks
I would like to thank you very much for your video. You explained it the best of all. clear and understandable from start to finish. exactly what i was looking for. i give you a like and a subscription because you deserve it. keep up the good work
This IS the dumbed down version... PID tuning is a complex, very technical topic. There's no way to dumb this down further without running the risk of making people touch settings that could potentially cause damage
so i was thinking about tuning my 3.5inch hexa i use biblade props on it should i set my dynamic idle higher than 30 or lower? on standard tuning it wobbles if i dive with 0 throttle my guess would be that this is related to the dynamic idle beeing to low?
Hi Jev have you tried to verify final results of tuning done in angle vs acro in BF4.5 ofcourse w/o FF and Dyn Dump? What I discovered it didnt match anymore, it gives different results not like in prev version of BF. I found on one site that to match the PIDs in Acro and Angle before tuning you have to change angle strenght from 50 to 100.
uma pergunta, após você configurar todo o pid, você voltou o modo de pilotagem para o Acro ou esse Pid só funciona em modo Angle? e qual rates você usa após fazer o Pid do video?
Awesome video brotha. Thanks for sharing. I have a question that I can't seem to find a solution to. I've got a SpeedyBee F405 V4 and a V3. When I flash them with BlueJay it is successful but, when I arm them they want to take off. I'm not sure which slider I need to change to lower the motor power on arm. I immediately have to disarm after arming because it goes full send (only AFTER flashing to BlueJay). I use 24khz and I haven't used BLHeliSuite I've only used Esc-Configurator. Any help from anyone would be appreciated. Keep sending fellas!
Thanks for the guide, but when viewing my logs in toolbox, with sliders set as you say. The graphs never start at zero on the left always up near the center line. Any idea why this would happen ?
Thank u so much. I have same frame same motors. Stack Skystars F722FC & AM32 55A Walksnail hd pro. tomorrow gonna try u pids whit lower d term. Which props u running?
Hey, what's your ideal temperature of a motor, how hot is too much for your liking? And do think wiring motor wires above esc so they aren't sticking out is creating interference that could make you increase filters? And last one do you tune your quad and change props often, or you tune for a possibility you might get bent prop and burn a motor?
If you can pinch the motor between your fingers comfortably then you're good. If you try to pinch the motor and your automatic reaction is to let go, it's too hot.
From what I see, there is very little wobble room in tuning PIDs this way (i.e. only master multiplier and I-term require actual flying with goggles on to determine the best values). What I also know for sure is that there is no single best PID tune for a given drone and that a lot of settings depend on personal liking. Could you please clarify which of these let's say "rigidly" set values can be fine-tuned for personal liking?
There is a single best PID tune: the one that exactly tracks the set point. Everything you want to "feel" different is rates, throttle curves and rc smoothing.
I was wondering the same thing. I just finished a 2.5” 6S. Where in the tuning process might a smaller prop tune be different? If at all? Great friggin video, tho…learned a TON!!
This video was posted 3 hrs ago? It really should have some comment on the state of BLHeli32. Your instructions direct viewers to update blheli, which as of this writing, is impossible.
I have a 3.6in quad the highest frequency I could see is 102 idk what to set my filters at. The less the less latency right? Idk it’s the axis flying mantra
So this video also complements the one you did a while ago?, 'cause I recently tuned pretty well my quad with your method, but never touched the Filter settings.

true, I think this vid was made maybe 1 week ago or longer
If you don't have 32.10 on your bl heli 32 esc u are running buggy firmware
Yes, BlHeli32 is dead. You are correct.
They did and yes this video was made before that happened. Thanks for pointing this out, I completely forgot.
@JevinW oh no I get it bro "NO Hate" just thought u knew something I didn't lol ...great work 🫡

So glad to hear, thank you!
This is EXACTLY what I needed!
Thank you SO much for de-mystifying filters and sharing the logic behind those CLI commands!!1
Ya np man, glad it helped 👍

One thing is landing the gaps, another is making it beautiful!
Thanks a lot. The best PID Tuning Vid I've seen so far. A nice conclusion of Chris Rosser and others. Just the short facts you need to know 👌
That was the goal, not to out due them just summarize. Thank ya 👍
Will these setting apply to the AM32 Sequre ESC you recently reviewed?
Great video! Thanks for your help in making such good progress in understanding this cool world of FPV. 😍
Awesome video! Gonna watch it a Few 100 more times & see if it sinks in! Thank You Great Info Here!
Fascinating stuff, would love a dumbed-down version, beginning with wtf is pid.
Sameeeeee this is Chinese to me. I'm trying to learn but after a while I just go "guess I don't need to know" 😅

Brilliant❤, great clear explanation! Best ive heard
Glad it was helpful!
@@JevinW yep! Keep going geezer🫡
i love your pringles background XD Great video fam! gonna be watching this to refresh myself with tuning. You earned yourself a sub!
Appreciate ya 🤙
thanks mate. I'm into building drones, net jet much into tuning. hope I can change it with your great vid!
Great video. Well thought out. Bravo!
Awesome video! Gonna use this as my new tuning video. 👍👍
Thank for the info presented in a straightforward way. What info would change for a 3.5 in quad?
Is there a video that show what you mean by bounce back or oscillation
so i was thinking about tuning my 3.5inch hexa

on standard tuning it wobbles if i dive with 0 throttle my guess would be that this is related to the dynamic idle beeing to low?
You're a champion
Thanks for this! Do you have any additional resources for tuning etc you can point us at?

Do you make any adjustments to your tune based on if you have an action cam attached or not?

This was awesome thanks my dude 🫶🔥
For sure 👍
So freaking good. Thank you for this! From your experience- how would some of these numbers change with a bigger (eg 6"/7"quad) ? Appreciate the work!
Np homie! Larger builds typically have less p and more d term but just follow the data and adjust accordingly 👍

A Saturday drop… and one that’s going to stay in my saved videos! Christmas in June! 😂
🎄🎄
What is this for, the 3.5 or 4, or 5 inches drone???
5in mostly but could be applied to a wide range of prop sizes 👍

I see others have had the same concern. Didn't mean to heap on the pile...
Blheli still works Just can’t update fw. Stuck with what you got.
This work with dc frame?
Thanks dude sick rippage
Np, thank ya 👍
do I need to always update the firmware of my FC?
Can you do the same thing with Bluejay because BLHeli is shutting down?
I don’t see gyro scaled just gyro unfiltered is this the online verision
Same here
@@argentinaerialsFPV I chose gyroscaled in betaflight but gyro unfiltered is the same

Ya there was some things I want to improve upon that video, along with including filters
First time seeing master multiplier being adjusted before p/d ratio
Thank you!
I have seen alot of people recommend leaving the dampening at 0
can i do this on a dji mini 2?
sory to bother you do you know why ff does not work? its just a straight line not moving at all no matter what the sslider is set on . ty!
