Been a shadow priest main my entire life, decided to play rogue because sp isn't too fun in classic and I've already played with all the new priest SOD spells in past expansions. Probably the biggest mistake of my WoW career playing this game was rolling a rogue over priest especially with no arenas in sight and stv basically being not what it used to be.
The min max crowed at fucking the season. needing full pre bis plus consume + Wb for something that's gonna die anyway is bonkers. Why the insane levels of sweat
you dont tho, we cleared gnomer w/o wbuffs many times. Most of our raid teams first kills were "lets save boon for after" and then accidentally killing thermaplugg.
Nothing is stopping people from starting their own groups. "Lfm Gnomer, every class welcome! Just have a little bit of gear and some patience :)!". Since gatekeeping is apparently such a huge issue it should fill within minutes. We both know why people don't do that. No one wants to join a group that has a high chance of falling apart halfway through the raid. Menagerie, Thermaplugg and heck even Electrocutioner are just challenging enough to cause problems. They don't require amazing gear, but they do require enough people pressing correct buttons. Asking for people to be at least a little bit "prepared" simply weeds out worst of the worst. Most people don't actually even check if you're prebis, let alone know what's the prebis for your class. Source: Me lying about having prebis ever since start of P1 when applying to pugs. Don't join in lvl 30 quest greens, actively talk, look up the fights and as long as your performance isn't in the gutter most people don't really give a shit. Minmax culture does have some negative impact on the game as whole, I'm not denying that. Trying to use the sweaties as a scapegoat just ain't it tho.
I started making my own groups fore dungeons which I have never done in all my years. Example: "LFM GNOME 6/6EXP will prob not be taken!! Those with ZERO EXP taken 1st!! Consumes not necessary." Formed a group in less than 15 mins and , long story short, cleared 6/6 with 4 wipes.(very unexpected) Moral of this story....TOO MANY SWEATY MIN/MAXIN CHODES!!!!
New to wow and wanted to give sod a shot but once I hit 40 and impossible to pug on warrior, I had to cancel my sub. Just not fun spending 3-4 hours lfg and get nothin
Phase 1 lasted way too long and after getting 40 in a week my guild didnt have enough people to run more than one gnomer group. A lot of them burned out in phase 1.
They should just add the group maker tool. NOT the groupfinder. First of all, I am super specific sometimes about what I want to do (I'm 444 gs rogue main on Crusader Strike), those posts don't belong in the LFG chat, I should be able to list it as a group and see the gs of applicants. IT WILL solve the problem. Groups will form much faster for a variety of reasons, and the selectiveness will be more merit based instead of just being denied for being a certain class, or playing during low player count times. I never struggled to find a raid in retail (pretty much morning, noon, or night, always a dozen raids going). Solo for over a decade (i",m old I've played since original wow on and off). Give us the group tool (and Blizzard should give us an updated UI in Classic while they are at it, their game shouldn't require 50 mods to have enough hotbar space, for example, the retail UI tool probs took a lot of work, give it to us). It's Blizzard, so instead of doing this, they will probably solve this problem by adding the WoW token.
Our first mistake was spamming SM. I'm glad they've addressed the gold rewards from questing prior to max level. They could do with doing an itemization pass over them too.
This is the gaming mentality today, hop in on the new thing -> max out and do some StReAmInG -> see there's nothing else to do since you rushed all content -> get bored and leave. There was a reason why any mmo 20 or so years ago was such a magical place, because you had no guides, no info, and in the hand you banded together with some friends along the way to have an actual clue on what's going on. But now? yay I reached classic vanilla lvl 60 in 1 day, yay? This got a lot worse back in 2015 or so to this day, this "wanna be the best and a game that just launched since it's the new fad" mentality. One thing is Blizzard gate keeping content (main quest lines of the patch) with stupid rep grinding that after that patch is no longer needed or became useless to progress, the other side of the coin is the playerbase rushing to clear everything they can for 1-7 days straight and then just abandon the game for the next patch or season.
I agree, I'm guilty of it too. It seems like Blizzard is doubling down on this mentality as well with the XP buff they're rolling out - just get everyone to endgame
my buddy and i were talking last night as we were both putting a group together and then doing gnomer. it fell apart literally as we approached boss 5, the only wipe we had was boss 4 1 time because we tried a new strat and honestly it did well once we got the 1 wipe out of the way. the reason it fell apart? lock rage quit that we didn't give him a healing cloak on, and then as we decided to say fuck it and 9 man it one of our druid healers got called into work. until that point one of the smoothest groups i've ever had and we still spent like 75 min getting that far. which means had it all worked (no other wipes) you're looking at 1.5-1.75 hours to kill 6 bosses. not including the time to put the group together. that's a hell of a time sink to expect working people to drop on a week night. or just a work night in general. and that happens because of the 3 day lock out. in one 7 day period you can have 3 raids possible, won't happen every week, but it will happen 1/3 of the time. if you're like me and your gear drops and rolls are terrible you need almost every lock out to feel like you're not falling behind. my buddy can get 2-3 pieces in one run, i'm lucky to get 1 piece in 2-3 runs. why do i feel the need to not fall behind? because of the sweaty neckbeards who are adamantly in the ricky bobby category of "if you ain't first you're last". some of the bosses being pug killers is a massive problem. so we decided two things last night, 1) SOD has a shelf life for us, we likely wont' be doing phase 3 as most groups are really nit picky and i already raid lead a 25 man team in WOTLK and i'm not raid leading 20 idiots in phase 3. 2) if the raids get much more difficult, pugs will be damn near impossible and basically that will split the player base. because if you need to be in a guild to get the shit done, you now have a locked raid "schedule" with a guild and if you're raiding consistently anywhere else, you're either doing nothing else in the evenings but play wow or you're giving one of them up. phase 1 was magical, phase 2 is annoying and i think it's only going to get worse as raid sizes increase and people get even sweatier cuz the content steps up in difficulty.
Not wrong, I was really looking forward to playing a rogue in SoD but after hearing it's pretty much like raiding TBC all over again I had no other choice but to pick the fucking meta if I want a chance of playing end game content for the game I pay for...
I am having fun with this season because I found my way into a chill guild that likes to be organized but isn't super sweaty. We don't go by the meta, like to have fun and will play with anyone who's chill. For the record I do play Mage always have and I have not had to try and find any pugs in P2.
Hey do you know what solves this? GKDP because we trying to maximize the value for the gold of all loot that drops, where my warrior and rogue buyers at?
As a casual, I’ll come back when they put LFG in for all levels of content. Gate keep harder levels with ilvl requirements. Boom done. I don’t have time to make friends and spend 10-30 minutes forming groups. It’s a waste of my gaming time. Also as a casual, only play the last patch. There is no point rushing to the first ilvl cap because it will always increase. What’s the point?
@@OGTH-camEnjoyercuz they want to play SOD and should be allowed to. But people in the game gatekeep. I had to start raids on my own bc I couldn’t get into any raid even though I had pretty much full bis. Gatekeeping stop people from playing the game. It almost got me.
@@OGTH-camEnjoyer dude retail is trash. Literal Garbo. Hate how easy it is to get geared up. Which is why I like playing classic. Issue is that people are elitists and it ruins the game.
I switched from Enh to Resto and bought level 30ish AH of the owl greens cause my guild is desperate for healers. I did a pug Gnomer healing for the first time ever in classic (including my time spent in vanilla) and it was also my first run of Gnomer. We one-shot every boss with no wipes. The group was a guild (not mine) group looking for a healer in LFG like every other Gnomer group. I was open and honest up front about it being my first run and first time healing and they still gave me a shot. Gnomeregan is not hard at all and the playerbase is just being way too toxic. I abhor addons like GearScore and will never, ever base my groups on that shit.
I was trying to do warrior tank main for sod as a casual raider with buddies, I can find groups for stuff but generally not enjoying it much and will probably switch back to an off meta warlock or something
You said it perfectly, this is a SEASONAL, experimental version of a 20 year old game. Just play whatever you want to play. Nothing is that serious and these server are meant to be temporary.
Physical DPS are having a hard time with everything right now, pvp and pve and its not fun so I took a break. The only fun I actually can get is to twink lvl 39 on a rogue and even then a lot of caster types can still burst down without much effort put into their class. Blizzard purposly gimping two of the most popular classic classes will have a massive affect further down the line. World of Casting has to stop.
physical dps cry now, casters cry in 6 months time when there is no1 but cloth to fill a raid. It works both ways eventually it comes full circle ^^@@thefart
Not really. There is just not much to do once you reach 40. I can do BM, but I got my weapon within 3 events and don't care about the mount. That just leaves Gnomer every 3 days.
@@TheDarkLasombra level alts, quest, STV, mess around with Horde, etc. There ARE plenty of things to do. It’s just a matter whether you have any interest in them.
It sucks to see OP and so many commenters struggling to find a way to have fun in sod. I'd recommend yall find a new guild/new people to play with or do new activities. Gotta change something if you arent having fun. I've been degening sod every day since it came out and managed to find a way to have some fun with my guild just about every single day. If you are minmaxing the fun out of content then YOU are doing it. We have relatively high parsing players in our guild that are not minmaxing and just having a good time. Try not letting things bother you so much about what others are doing lmao(the 1% min maxers you are referring to)
I think it's pretty easy to figure out. Streamers and TH-camrs overhyped it like they do with everything and it brought a lot of new people who have never played WoW before and these people who are used to playing games that hold your hand the entire time got bored of a 2006 era mmorpg.
This isn't new. I remember all the way back in TBC Classic. I mained Retribution Paladin. I was one of the best Seal Twisters in the world and could pump insane damage single target especially with Wind Fury but in TBC Retribution Paladin had 0 AoE because Consecration scaled with Spell Power so it hit wet noodle in Outlands. Every Group would only take range for HCs Dungeons and would refuse to play with Ret because I had no AoE. They would rather wait 20-60 minutes in the world looks for a range cleave comp than the dungeon taking 10-20 minutes longer with a sub optimal group. This was dungeoning content and the gatekeeping was even worse. The best part is I even had good Logs so I could prove I was a top 1% player for my class and they still didn't care because it was sub optimal to do a dungeon with a Ret. Raids were less gatekeepy because people only care about your boss damage but was horrible experience that made the game unplayable to the point I was paying people to help me with the dungeons I needed gear from. At the end of the day this degenerate behaviour is caused by out-dated bad game systems that punish players harshly. Its the developers fault. The problem I always found in WoW compared to other MMOs, mainly comparing it to FF14 is that other MMOs have moved past the Range/Melee DPS cringe tactics and have given Melee decent mobility tools and have just made DPS mechanics. Its not mandatory in FF14 to go with 4 range in any content in the game. All content is clearable with a raid with full melee or full range. Blizzard has a oppsession of making mechanics only do-able by certain classes. The last boss in Gnomergan bomb mechanics means if any range fuck up during the fight it causes the entire raid to wipe. This is an easy mechanic but classic players aren't mythic players so when you take a random scrub player and they fail the mechanic the whole raid wipes and theres nothing you can do. If you are a Melee its impossible for you to kill bombs or get the buttons fast enough. So Blizzard have designed a mechanic only managable by range and if your range players are dumb, the whole raid wipes. It basically puts the agency of this fight on a few players and if any mistakes happen you can't help out as a melee. This harsh mechanic wiping the raid when its failed on top of only range players being able to do the tactic on top of the crazy bad balancing with range outdpsing melee creates this situation where the best thing to do is only invite range and tell melees to reroll because they cant bring any value to the only hard fight in the raid. This whole situation is been designed by Blizzard and anyone with a brain and experience MMO players would have the foresight to see these 3 things together were gonna make a toxic experience. Don't blame the players, blame the game. If the game is gonna be designed like this you have to expect players will adapt and make a META around it. The alternative if Blizzard is lazy is to make the raid as easy as BFD so you never fail and META doesn't matter or GDKP and let experienced players carry bad players for gold. This is Blizzards fault but we all know they won't fix this. Hopefully they learn for next phase.
Good video man. Yeah meta slaving is cringe af. As you said it's a 20 year old game and they are implementing experimental modifications. Who really cares that much 😂
Its the same as always. You cant give X class endless AoE and Y class none and then expect there to be balance. We have seen it time and time again, and Blizzard just refuses to learn., regardless of game Version. You cant have 3 Mages a healer and then a Feral tank. Why ? Because Swipe use to hit for 20 on 3 mobs, where as the Mages are doing Naxx lvl aoe. So what happens ? U dont get taken, but a Shaman or Paladin do. Tons of such examples exist. They made melee not nearly as good as ranged in PvP. Gnomer bosses have a TON of armor and resistances to bleed/poisons, and thus again, people wanna do stuff ez mode so they get casters. On top p2 does not have even a fraction of the stuff p1 did due to clear budget reasons. So ofc ppl are moving on. Blizzard pretending its all fine clearly wont make it so.
@@Sigma6987 yes. And because I somehow feel the need to justify my opinion, I am a multi-gladiator classic player, I’ve killed heroic lich king in two different guilds 15 years apart and parse orange as a tank in gnomer as my group pushes to try for straight pinks. I didn’t say the content was too difficult for me to clear it. I said it was too difficult.
I don't respect meta slaving as an excuse for time saving. Nobody is meta slaving cause they want to save time, they are doing it because they want control and feel superior over others by gatekeeping people out and making them feel excluded for choosing to play what they want and are having fun with. It's like the fact that someone is enjoying something that is not meta is such a thorn in their side that they feel their duty to make sure that person knows how displeased they are about that and how they should prioritize efficiency and mix maxing over fun. Video game were made to be fun and enjoyed, the min maxers stopped enjoying them long time ago and now are just stuck in their prisons, biter that someone else can actually find fun in the game and incapable of understanding that min maxing is not necessary to success, but you will never change their minds cause they are never wrong and everyone else is the problem.
This is a player problem, not a game. My guild runs 3 ranged hunters, 2 rogues and I run a 2h melee hunter meme build, and we clear gnome in an hourish with no issues.
@@moxlolol yep, I’m guilty of it sometimes too. I’m having the opposite issue atm as far as raiding goes. I love meme builds, and in classic I raided as a melee spellpower hunter horde side, and a BoK spam prot pally alliance side, and made both work really well to a lot of surprise…now that they’re making all the meme builds powerful, they’re stealing some of my fun!! Haha. I guess it’s time to see if the instant serpent sting damage portion of chimera scales 1:1 with nature/spell damage like serpent stings total damage does, and go for a ranged meme build 😂
Feels like you tend to blame the players more than the balance. Gnomer is way more difficult to do without a lot of range. The last 3 bosses in particular require you to have good ranged for all of the mechanics. Blizzard made melee less desireable, to the point that a pug will take up to 3 hours without a guaranteed clear if you dont get a lot of ranged. PVP is no different, every range class can burst before you can gap close as melee. I played my warrior for a week and once I got some good gnomer + pvp gear and it still felt just as miserable I switched priest immediatelyl Much more fun now. Not anyone's fault but blizzard.
I agree that balance could and should be better, but I also think that the meta slaving that the community falls into is a bit too ridiculous for me at times. See M+ I think competent melee players with brains can easily do well enough and have high enough DPS for this raid without a question
I disagree with the melee in pvp. First issue might be the STV event (which is in a bad state anyway) where people don't care about tactics and it naturally favors those that don't need to commit to get kills. I mean no offense, just speaking from experience as a healer, melees just zug zug, die, repeat, and it's miserable for anyone that needs a setup. Second thing is that melees are actually all over the place, warrior is just really bad in SoD, especially in p2. Enha is supreme, rogue is deadly, ret has lot to offer... Anyway, I absolutely agree about the balancing being a problem, I don't have enough experience with retail WoW to know if this is the norm for Blizzard but compared to other games it's just ridiculously bad, like completely out of touch bad.
Well this is what happens when u play one of the most popular classes :P u will always compete for a spot..i dont think its true for gnomeregan that ppl want the most op classes..all raids pick alteast 1 each class from what ive seen
I have been playing vanilla and classic WOW forever and I prefer classic to retail, but for phase 2 of SOD I have zero ambition to run Gnomer. I think I'm not going to waste my time with low level raids anymore. Just going to wait to see how P3 goes.
Phase 1 was fun but Phase 2 has been absolutely meh. I actually unsubscribed once I got exalted defilers. I personally play to PvP and I think Phase 2 has the worst PvP of any iteration of WoW iv ever been a part of and based on the changes this month, I do not believe that SoD is headed in a direction that I had hoped it would. Phase 1 was like classic with a twist. Phase 2 feels more like a race to make each class like retail but without any of the quality of life additions that people actually like.
I could stop running gnomer on both of my characters right now and I would be perfectly fine for the next phase. Yet I choose to do it since its only 2 hours every week. That's almost nothing for someone that used to do 5h 5 days a week progression raids.
The amount of new videos talking about the demise of phase 2 over lower raid logs is hilarious. Its just because most people don't have alts leveled up yet or don't plan to for phase 2. That is literally it, Gnomer is a better raid than BFD and fun and doable with any comp.
Not any, 5th boss can not be done with out at least 2 caster DPS. P2 def has a drop off with the giant push for casters to be king. Almost no point in playing the game as a Melee when u get deleted by casters at max range if u sit with your casters or get insta deleted trying to target their casters. Pve well unless your feral or in a guild your not doing gnomer as warrior/rogue DPS
Only a percentage of warriors chose it for the “right” reasons, and then P2 comes and warriors cry, then come to find out, warriors are just fine viability wise for gnomer at a normal comp level, not to mention they can reach for dps tank. Just because raid teams dont want 5 warriors in a 10 man group, doesnt mean its the end of the world. Can run gnomer successfully with a wide range of comps. Does the game need to change because there is an influx of people playing a popular class? If raid groups need 2-3 melee dps, there is say 100 total raid groups (for easy math) but there is say 1,000 melee dps raiders on server.. what is blizz supposed to do? Lol level an alt or something idk. We are looking for a warrior tank or dps right now and unfortunately they all quit the game already because they werent topping charts. Get a grip yall 😂
Who could've guessed? It should have been 25-50. Three months for lvl 40 is going to kill the season. And then three months for 40-50.. it's planned that way to draw out the subscribers counts.
But it's what players want and it's contributing to SoD's success. Bad and casual players are not exposed when they can feel the glory of a Swifty one-shot constantly. It's a major appeal.
One of the worst things in terms of pvp is (imo), that u get slaugthered by groups of 40 over and over again while trying to lvl the conventional way, instead of just rushing max lvl by running SM.
"Announcing... World of Warcraft... Classic!" Vanilla community: Wooh, vanilla's the best. "Announcing World of Warcraft... Season of Mastery!" Vanilla community: Wooh, vanilla but slower, that's great. "Announcing World of Warcraft... Hardcore!" Vanilla community: Wooh, vanilla but EVEN SLOWER and permadeath in a fucking MMO... What a "great" idea! "Announcing World of Warcraft... Season of Discovery!" Vanilla Community: Wooh.. Vanilla wow, but slower, and with changes that are definitely inspired by retail and almost certainly not well tested. How can anyone not be bored of vanilla by now? It is THE worst version of the game, for every aspect of gameplay. The questlines are almost entirely meaningless and pointless, the raiding is genuinely the worst, ever. The PvP system is also the worst, ever, where every other expansion has a skill based matchmaking (arenas, RBGs), vanilla is just "grind the most and you win... PvE gear". The classes are incomplete and wildly imbalanced. The only part of vanilla that is, genuinely, better than any other expansion are the "mega dungeons". Blackrock depths, sunken temple, gnomeregan... All things that the majority of players love doing, right? RIGHT? Wrong. The community does the exact same thing blizzard did, split them into sections or - in the case of sunken temple - just completely ignore its existence.
There is nothing wrong with P2. There's people playing at all hours and groups are running at most hours of the day, even pre/post prime time. There's an inevitable decay when it goes from an easy 1-25 investment and now it's demanding more time, and the novelty as started to wear off, it's to be expected, but still it has a healthy player base. When it comes to this meta slave argument... rogues have and always will be in demand, they do great st dps and they are a fantastic interrupt engine. Rogue has never been out of fashion, even in P1 they were the top tank spec, because as survivability got trivialized the higher dps tanks were the highest tier (an it's founded, not some reddit tierlist, based on actual facts from speedrunners). Even now rogue stands strong so it's not "out of the meta" and it's not that people are "meta-slaving"... you're just finding difficulty joining a group. Being real you can do more damage than top ranking dps who are mid by playing half decently. While there definitely are the odd people asking for 100% parse and 600gs... it's not that many and while people feel entitled to join any group they please... those are the raids for the cutting edge, if you are not cutting edge, then they simply don't want weighing down, and it's not on them. Leave them be no matter how toxic or demanding, it's just not for you, accept that reality. I get people want that 6/6 sweep, but it's more than doable even with some of the most docile non vc pugs. It's also a 3 day lockout so if your group is whack, it's not the end of the world. Getting a group is easy, you just actually take the time to make a group or join a guild that has a schedule you can abide by, the best way is through guilds. There are guilds who have on-demand sign-ups with a large pool of players and a zero-hang-up policy... It's never been an issue, even with difficult content there's always a channel to get in a group. If you;re not 6/6 ready... who cares?!? it's a 3 day lock out and the other bosses drop great stuff to let you eventually bridge the gap. Also... the content is easy... If you can't afford the consumables, farm and buy them, it's a basic expectation and not an unreasonable ask for any level. Nature protection potions are dirt cheap and FAPS are too. The only ones forking out are frost protection potions on tanks. If you REALLY want to get into groups, take the time to invest in tanking and tank as an OT rogue. Plenty of groups will bend over for a tank and you can grab dps pieces, most wont question you taking stuff, in guilds the toxic revenger is defaulted to rogues (or it should be). Just do STV for the Bloodharvest blade, pick up a Toxic revenger II and you're laughing...
Bro imagine legit thinking that phase 2 of a game that was released 20 is dying. What do you expect? Entire population of china and India login in daily for 20 hours? Yeah broo this game is so dead it only has couple hundred thousand people playing it. There's still like what? 2 more phases? Naaah bro my favourite streamer ain't playing it for 35 hours a day its sooo dead. You, sir are in dire need of grasstouching ❤❤😂😂😂
Stop playing an MMO single player. I know you need a group to do the raid...I'm talking about joining a guild and making friends. You will no longer have a problem finding a group.
SoD team good at balancing? What a laugh, the best they can do is forcing specific playstyles, naturally there's a good side to that but it's also unsustainable system that sours the game long term. Mutilate x6 isn't proper gameplay, even though it might feel good for the grinders.
Honestly, gnomer is too easy, it's able to be cleared in a hour in less than "pre bis". The fact there is onky one raid and dungeons are obsolete thr second you've finished leveling is just leaving too little pve engagement.
Just another guy wanting to build a channel off spewing nonsense. Player base is fine. You play the game to enjoy classic WoW with more fun. That's it. Who cares about 'competitive'?
Before watching this video. Is phase 2 dieing? no... it's 3 weeks in, every phase and expansion we have a ton of folks come and look for a week or 2 then it taper off. Can a pug and super casual group clear Gnomer with no effort? no... and that would be really lame if the difficulty was pants on head from the drop. There is plenty of stuff to do. If this is doomer video boo.

Seems fun to me, but I have actual friends that play to hang out and not GDKP friends that raid log. We are on everynight and very drunk. You should come join. Could careless what you play. 9man the raid some weeks.
I’m in the same boat and having fun. People meta slave themselves. People can’t bear to be out of the loop and they rather masochist themselves than be out of it.

Nothing is stopping people from starting their own groups. "Lfm Gnomer, every class welcome! Just have a little bit of gear and some patience :)!". Since gatekeeping is apparently such a huge issue it should fill within minutes.

My guess is after SoD is done, they do a full on Classic+ with WoW token
Our first mistake was spamming SM. I'm glad they've addressed the gold rewards from questing prior to max level. They could do with doing an itemization pass over them too.
You only get that gold when at Max lvl
So now it is a bigger advantage do dungeon grinding until Max lvl. Then do all quest for more gold reward.
@@RandySnarsh the amount of gold you make per quest at 40 won't change.
Pvp sucks this phase too. Everyone is 1-2 shotting each other
Just ran my first Gnomer with 3 Warriors, Feral, Rogue and Ret Paladin and then casters. Not ideal but not a nightmare or anything.
TRUE
I didnt get to play phase 1 so this phase 2 has been a blast, but i also main a mage so pvp is crazy fun and raids are ez to get into.
same brother, same
As a casual, I’ll come back when they put LFG in for all levels of content.
Why not just play retail?
@@OGTH-camEnjoyercuz they want to play SOD and should be allowed to. But people in the game gatekeep. I had to start raids on my own bc I couldn’t get into any raid even though I had pretty much full bis. Gatekeeping stop people from playing the game. It almost got me.
@@Sean-jd9gm You want all these features that retail has that you whined about ruining WoW.
@@OGTH-camEnjoyer dude retail is trash. Literal Garbo. Hate how easy it is to get geared up. Which is why I like playing classic. Issue is that people are elitists and it ruins the game.
@@Sean-jd9gm So why are you all trying to make sod like retail? 🤣🤣
Hey wait a minute... this is about me!
I was trying to do warrior tank main for sod as a casual raider with buddies, I can find groups for stuff but generally not enjoying it much and will probably switch back to an off meta warlock or something
Go shaman dude dont make that mistake :P for pvp and pve shaman is just way better ele or encha dps or tank best class imo
Warrior tank and warrior in general is a miserable experience tbh. All specs are unfun to play and the class doesnt shine at anything right now.
While nothing you said is wrong, blizz just did a lazy job with adding in enough things to do.
You said it perfectly, this is a SEASONAL, experimental version of a 20 year old game.
Just play whatever you want to play. Nothing is that serious and these server are meant to be temporary.
Retail player gatekeeping is a joke, They should all feel shame, Tanked up to AQ40 without ever needing that level of gatekeeping on classic era.
I was fun when warrior and rogue were top at phase 1. Cry now!
physical dps cry now, casters cry in 6 months time when there is no1 but cloth to fill a raid. It works both ways eventually it comes full circle ^^@@thefart
Most people complaining about phase 2 are people who finished the game in a week. Remember, you can take your time with this.
Can’t be super picky in 40 mans so bring them back
This isn't new.
Who really cares that much 😂
as someone who came back like a week ago. yes the game is dead as fuck, at least on lava lash.
Blizzard missed the mark with gnomeregan difficulty, they need to stop listening to the 24x7x365 hardcore players who want extra difficulty.
Gnomer is too hard?

I really wish people would start making 19 and 29 twinks. I think SOD is perfect for those brackets
This is a player problem, not a game. My guild runs 3 ranged hunters, 2 rogues and I run a 2h melee hunter meme build, and we clear gnome in an hourish with no issues.
agreed, this is as much of a me issue and a community issue than anything else
Same. As a rogue I got into a melee-heavy team in my guild and we do sub-1 hour clears without any issue. And we arent even very geared.
U mean you have 5+ ranged DPS shocker the anti Melee content is easy to clear
See M+
I think competent melee players with brains can easily do well enough and have high enough DPS for this raid without a question
Can’t even farm anything bots of both faction are everywhere even fishing bots sod is kinda garbage
Well this is what happens when u play one of the most popular classes :P u will always compete for a spot..i dont think its true for gnomeregan that ppl want the most op classes..all raids pick alteast 1 each class from what ive seen
True that
add arena to sod. problem solved
The thing is ur not kidding
Get a grip yall 😂
until min 2 everything is not true :D
as always simple solution ? find guild with like minded people.
Who could've guessed? It should have been 25-50. Three months for lvl 40 is going to kill the season. And then three months for 40-50.. it's planned that way to draw out the subscribers counts.
the pvp scene is a HUGE problem imo, too much burst from literally every class, super boring.
I agree 100%
not boring for the ppl who are doing the burst tho 😂
But it's what players want and it's contributing to SoD's success. Bad and casual players are not exposed when they can feel the glory of a Swifty one-shot constantly. It's a major appeal.
One of the worst things in terms of pvp is (imo), that u get slaugthered by groups of 40 over and over again while trying to lvl the conventional way, instead of just rushing max lvl by running SM.
Rogues are perfectly fine in gnomer.
"Announcing... World of Warcraft... Classic!"

Vanilla community: Wooh, vanilla but EVEN SLOWER and permadeath in a fucking MMO... What a "great" idea!
"Announcing World of Warcraft... Season of Discovery!"
Vanilla Community: Wooh..
Just do STV for the Bloodharvest blade, pick up a Toxic revenger II and you're laughing...
all my homies hate casters💯
the easy answer: just join a guild that suits you lol
Man this is sad. It’s no where close to M+ in gatekeeping, difficulty, or challenge.
Bro imagine legit thinking that phase 2 of a game that was released 20 is dying. What do you expect? Entire population of china and India login in daily for 20 hours?

Ofc its dying. There is no content, the stv event is unplayable, there are bots farming all the good spots, no pvp gear, no new bg, no dungeons
layers and casters not casting ruins the game
SoD sucks ass, come back to Era!
Just another guy wanting to build a channel off spewing nonsense. Player base is fine. You play the game to enjoy classic WoW with more fun. That's it. Who cares about 'competitive'?
I respect your wrong opinion
pugging is not really vanilla. just gotta join a guild and play what u like, instead of chasing logs with the highest rated class
If this is doomer video boo.
just buthurt salty rogue who cant join a pug LOL
