I love my pair of 84F pistols. Mail thing to remember is the safety goes in opposite direction from the 92FS--do not get them mixed up if you carry with these.
The 80x does NOT have a three-position safety. The fact that it will stick in the halfway position is actually a problem if you're not aware of how the gun operates. Many users have reported the pistol discharging while in what is described by these guys as "cocked and locked" position. To make the gun safe, you must push all the way to the decock position. Somebody didn't read their manual.
They are talking about the trigger returning to a half way forward position after decocking the pistol, which pushes past the fire position and springs back to the fire position, and the trigger moves forward to half way, instead of fully out in the full double action position..
@@Clutch_Kick187no, they are not, they are talking about that but also about the “3 position safety”, which is a dangerous misconception as the user above commented
My carry gun is a Beretta 81. Matt is right. The light recoil makes accurate shooting a snap. I think shot placement is everything. I carry it it because I'm 10 for ten when shooting it, versus 8 for ten carrying my compact 9mm.
@@peewee102100. Since when is 9mm a hard round to handle ? The argument you just made is the exact argument that the fbi made for 9mm. Why stop at 32acp when you could get even less recoil with a .22lr or better yet a .177 cal Daisy BB gun. Depending on headshots is not a very good plan either which is why pretty much no reputable defensive firearms trainer would recommend relying on headshots but that’s pretty much what you have to do when carrying something with as little penetrating power as a weapon chambered in .32acp. I reload 32acp for mine. Berry's makes cheap 32 round nose bullets, and 32 uses almost no powder because of how anemic the round is. 81's are such a joy to shoot!
The .32acp is a reloader's cartridge. If you reload it yourself, it becomes SUPER cheap because it uses *tiny* amounts of powder and lead. But again, maybe I missed something or am mistaken on what was said at around 3 minutes in.
You have me hunting down the 380 80x. Ian mentioned the similarly sized CZ 82 which is also double action. In addition, there is also the Browning BDA. If I remember correctly, the BDA almost a copy of the Beretta 82 Cheeta with a closed top slide. I regrett selling my BDA and my CZ 82 was stolen and never recovered : (
Bersa Thunder plus is also double stack .380 even with 15 shot!
I was specifically looking for this pistol 6-9 months ago. I wanted a miniature 92fs for CCW.
I like DA/SA, prefer the slide safety, but was OK with the frame safety….
I settled for the Sig 365, but I think I will be buying this, too bad a holster will be tough to find.
I've got a surplus 84BB and can't wait to get one of these.
I also bought an 84BB. First pistol I’ve ever shot.
Woah love the dark tower reference!
I kept waiting for Ian to say, "Lets do that run again, but I have something to tell you......I'm NOT LEFT HANDED" Then shoot all headshots in the box
Ian's paddyflage jacket looks really cool. Gun is also ok
The cheetah is the only beretta i ever liked. Had one at a range i worked at that was for rent. Rarely cleaned it but it NEVER malfunctioned.
That's why I like blow back pistols like the Beretta 81 and CZ 82. I've never had a malfunction with either.
I love the Dark Tower reference.
i love the ooooo and aaaaaa after you guys finish your runs and get a nice time lol
Al Gorhythm says, "Nice shooting, y'all."
I've been looking at this ever since it was announced and it'll probably be my next handgun, though it'll be a little bit before I can get anything else (maybe a New Years present to myself haha). Hoping I can do it early next year. I love .380, it's the main household caliber as my very small size girlfriend will also shoot it. I can't wait until stores have these around so I can hold one and see how it feels, but based on how other modern berettas handle I'm sure I'll like it.
