Thank you the reverse bulb cost me $4.50. It literally took me 5 minutes to do. I called the dealership it would have cost me 75.00. Can I say lifesaver...no money saver.

As someone mentioned earlier, push pin pliers are a life saver! $8 at harbor freight and came off in seconds. I was scraping and ruining the hell out of the plastic with a screwdriver. Some pins may just be worse than others.

Thank you for the video. I suspected this is how it's done, but I was reluctant to try it because I did not want to risk breaking the insert by prying it out if in fact that was not the way to do it. Your video confirmed my hunch. The whole process took seconds and saved me a ton of money. Again, thanks.

Thank you so much for this! Worked on my 2017. The screws were tough at first until I focused on pulling the screw out first and THEN the middle piece. I replaced the entire tail light myself! :)

I did this and watched this video to help me. I gave this video a thumbs up. This worked perfectly but the process is not this quick..
Just a tip for anyone else who wants to do this: it is NOT that easy to get those screws out & it's even harder to get them back in.
If your screws come out that easily your tail light will eventually come loose and fall off when you open and close your trunk. Mine had extra padding around the actual screw.
My car is a 2012 And the screw was a pain to get off and on. It Took me an hour to push them back in. I almost felt like going to get a hammer but I didn't want to dent my car lol....

Thank you so much, the screwdriver worked, definitely have time take your time so you won’t break it. You have to circle around the seal with the screwdriver to make it loose. I felt like I made a big accomplishment compared to my older model cars where you just unscrew the bolts to from the tail light.

Thanks that was helpful. I had newer plugs in the rear which took a little effort to get off as soon as I used a pair of pliers and a screwdriver 🪛 I was able to get it off. I took the old lightbulb out and put in the new one tested the brake and blinker and 4-way and everything was in working order. Thank you for showing this video. I had a feeling those plugs had to be removed from the tailgate next to the light, but I was not sure. As soon as I saw this helpful video I knew it was okay to be a little rough with them to get them removed. I finally got them out it took 4-8 minutes because I had a feeling that the light hadn't been in 10 +years. Anyways, I took the burnt bulb out and replaced it with the new one. And everything is working great I might just replace the other one because Now the right brake light isn't as bright as the new one now that I know how to do it. I have done it before just on an older model vehicle which was a few years or more ago.

JUan Rodas I do not have the Patriot right now but in order to replace the front turn signal, you will need to remove the 3 screws that hold the front part of the fender liner, you might need to remove to tire to have more room. Then pull the fender underliner and you will be able to access the turn signal bulb
