    DynaRide 2 is transparent and works extremely well if you know how to adjust the attack and release times. It's not difficult, you take the same approach that you do with a compressor. When working on dialogue, apply your main compressor and then DynaRide afterwards. Especially useful if you are trying to avoid over-compressing the signal.

    Yep I got Waves Vocalrider to see if it would help automate some mixing tasks when I need to fast turn around some post prod, but preferred the sound when I quickly did some clip gain > compressor > fader rides

    quick question team, is this a linear OR non-linear processor??

    wait... how's it even a review if they didn't even try it??

      You're confusing a review with a demo.... We do reviews....after a thorough testing on actual professional projects. 👍 Demos are all over TH-cam and the manufacturer's website.👍

      @@StudioLife101 no, not confused... i just find the review to be lacking in information and depth. all you guys really say is what it does, that you have no interest in using it, and that it's shit.
      if you don't like it and have no interest in talking about it, it begs the question: why even bother "reviewing" it if you have nothing to say.
      not trying to give you guys a hard time, but this is the top video result on google and when i see the word 'review', there is an expectation that the reviewer is actually going to engage with the thing they're reviewing. otherwise, what is the point?
      i know it's not a useful plugin for music producers/engineers, but there are other types of audio production that this kind of plugin is very useful for. i work in broadcasting and podcasting with super fast turnarounds and a vocal rider saves me a lot of time by the end of the day.
      thanks for responding

      @@ConsecDesign You've answered your own question there....we have an opinion....so do you....they are different....that's OK. Do you think shooting and editing and mixing 2 TH-cam videos a week alongside our regular jobs of mixing and mastering doesn't imply we appreciate speediness? This is a plugin that already existed and we didn't think this version added anything useful... Glad you like it. 👍

      @@StudioLife101 my issue isn't of the fanboy variety. i use Waves' Vocal Rider, but i had a license issue with Waves that made me examine other options, and as i'm sure you know, not all rider plugins operate the same.
      I'm not bothered that you didn't find it useful/like it, i just have to ask again: if you have nothing to say, why even make the video? it just seems like a waste of time for everyone.

      @@ConsecDesign We have to review stuff we don't like too... Or it becomes just like every other channel...💁‍♂️ Hence...'is it shit'....(Sometimes we think it is and we say so..) Everyone is welcome to disagree...👍 Lots of people prefer the shit reviews....each to their own. At the end of the day it's not compulsory to watch...

    Hi, Instead of making a joke about this plugin you should take a closer look at it! Imagine you have a 5 chord pad progression going and need a steady bass that outputs all the notes on the same level! Are you going to do that by hand or edit all the notes? No! Because that's impossible! It proves to me that you have no clue what you are talking about. Just using a compressor will make things worse so this plugin solves that in 5 seconds! And the Waves Vocal Rider doesn't even come close to this superb plugin!!!! David

    • @StudioLife101
      @StudioLife101  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks for that David. There's a big difference between compression and level riding...as I'm sure you know. Why would your bass level be changing? Sounds like acoustic issues in your studio..We're both full time engineers with over 50 years experience between us and countless chart releases... So...💁‍♂️ Everyone's allowed an opinion right? Thanks for sharing...but let's try and keep it polite on here. We're just trying to keep plugin manufacturers from rehashing the same old stuff and selling it to us again... No harm intended. 👍

      @@StudioLife101 So you are not aware of the fact that every bass note (depending of the source and note!) has it's own level!? And when you play multiple different Bass notes in for example Techno or general EDM the level has to be the same. But also in other genre's! That's where this plugin comes in and solves that problem in no time! Without artifacts and a super clean fat signal! Just explain your solution and the time it takes! No matter how many years experience you have the video is bollocks!

      @@AllmedialabNl Now you're showing yourself up! 😂😂You clearly are a bedroom producer. Compress your bass...4:1 will probably do it...try using an optical comp or even an SSL channel comp...if you're still hearing differences in level...you have room issues. Sorry...but that's the truth. Don't be a rude knob head here...😂 😂

    • @AllmedialabNl
      @AllmedialabNl 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@StudioLife101 No we have a studio for 25 years, but I don't think it has any thing to do with the subject. Your compression trick will not solve the problem in the way this plugin does. Gain riding compare to compression gives a different/better result and and less artifacts! But of course you know it better with all your experience!!!

    • @StudioLife101

      @@AllmedialabNl You're right....I do. Trying to do you a favour here. If you have a synth bass patch that sounds like different volumes on different notes....it's your room. You would only ride the level on a bass instead of compressing if it was a live bass guitar and different playing velocity could affect level...I'd still use a compressor because they sound great on bass. With a synth, you can fix the velocity using midi and every note will be the same exact volume....you don't need any processing unless you want that particular sound. If after fixing the velocities you still have different notes sounding louder than others.....it's your room acoustics! ( And changing volumes of notes individually will sound very weird when you play it somewhere else..)
