I recently discovered that I am an aromantic, I am not attracted to any gender or people in general; I am much more satisfied with friendships and family than relationships with lovers. However, I was confused for a long time and thought I had developed feelings for my close friend. I told him I liked him, and he said he liked me too. But I now know that I am aromantic. I thought there was something wrong with me and I HAD to like someone to qualify for life. I want to tell him that I am an aromantic, but I don't want to let him down or hurt his feelings.
