    Great video as usual! I use some exercises from Bai Lin that my band’s section leader gave me. You have helped me see how to do them consistently. I mix Bai Lin with the Walter Smith book. And I just started on Laurie Frink’s Flexus book. I think that one is going to be great. Laurie says her book (which is progressive) is not meant to replace other methods. But I’m going to stick with her slow progressive method every day.

      I’ve worked out of the flexus book a bit in my career. The etudes at the end of each section are so cool.

    Great video! Could you please talk about making All State and tackling Voxman studies in a video?

    Great content as always sir! I was wondering if you could make a video in the future about creating recordings/content for trumpet. What the ideal gear/microphones would be, ideal rooms to record in, software you use to edit recordings or create your videos, etc. I'm finding myself submitting audition recordings more often and I'm also wanting to do some content creation myself, and I figured you would be a great person to get that advice from.
    Thanks!

      I will add it to the list. I think I have a video on why it’s important to record, but nothing like what you’ve suggested

    Charles Colin to start, then Bai Lin progressing to Scott Belck's books. Then for a more musical approach get Erik Veldkamp's two Flexibility Big Books. The etudes in those are absolute gold and very enjoyable to perform.

    What's your opinion on Belck's book ?

    • @RyanBeachtrumpet
      @RyanBeachtrumpet  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think it’s great! The Bai Lin book is more simple, which I like when getting a groove going. But I’ll switch to his book soon.
