Hey Ryan - love the video! Do you practice flexibility on smaller horns (eb/d, piccolo) too? And/or do you think you'd get similar benefit from just doing flexibility in the commensurate register on a big horn in the desired style? (E.g., flexibility exercises on Bb above the staff up to G6+, but lightly as you would play a picc.)
I don't typically practice flexibility on smaller horns, but that doesn't mean there wouldn't be benefit. In terms of playing lightly in extreme registers to mimic the smaller horn stuff, I think that's a great strategy for gaining familiarity and a proper approach for sure!
Haha thanks. In my regular routine, I switch between Bb and C trumpet every other day. But I like to demonstrations on Bb trumpet, unless there's some specific reason to play it on C.
I like Ryan's videos so much I don't skip the ads to make sure he gets paid!
THATS where all this cash is coming from!
Thank you for this. This is awesome!
thanks for sharing!! I enjoy playing with you Ryan!
I appreciate this comment! I’m glad you find the video helpful and enjoyable.
Well, that was fun Ryan! A little glich on the line at about 20:04. Excellent! V
Thanks for watching Vern!
Please make one video about mouthpiece is it okay or not to change and why? Thanks 🙏❤
I’ll add it to the list. I’m understanding your request to be “When should you change your equipment, and when should you not?”

I like this guy plays his Bb and doesn’t lord his 1st chair C-trpt over the rest of us
