I used to work this ride back in the late 1980s...i am glad to see more employees loading and unloading. When i worked it there was just one person loading and one person unloading and it was not safe for just one person stoping and pushing those gondolas.
So glad you got the shot of us so I could use it for a thumbnail. Had such a great day. Rode it twice, one round trip from Egypt and another from Stanleyville.
I think I was walking through pantopia and coudnt figure out if it was actually you or not. But Changing topics holy crap busch gardens is a pretty park@@BuschGardensJunkie
New subscriber here. Thanks for the great video! I'm so happy the SkyRide is open again. I haven't been to Busch Gardens since 1979 when I was 9 years old but I'm finally returning on Friday, February 23rd. I can't wait!! Quick question.. I LOVE those ECV's you guys have. I have been looking for something exactly like that. Can you please give me a little info on them? Thank you.
I am using a Pride GoGo Traveller that we picked up from a thrift store for $50, all it needed was new batteries. Maggy is sporting a electric trike that she found on Amazon for $500. I do recommend a new seat because it is very uncomfortable for me.
Thanks for the great video! Sky Ride, upcoming 4 year anniversary and a surprise! Woo hoo,!🎉 Everyone in our family each has a fun pass. Do we get on Sky Ride? Or how much extra? The other day it looked like Congo Rapids was reopening. Is it?
I know you enjoyed the behind the scenes roller coaster tour. Saw this video of China coaster roll back and wondered how often Busch Gardens checks/ replaces the magnets, pins, wear on plates, parts of each coaster? th-cam.com/video/RTlLmuKbqYI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=dmxxgzmMZnJeFCcs
Don't think so. I can understand why and I am all in for the fee for the SkyRide after seeing the operations and knowing how much money it costs to reopen it and the upkeep. They had no less than 15 operators, while normal rides need 5 or 6.
@@BuschGardensJunkie i am hoping they will have enough busy days and make alot of money from it so they can lower it eventually or mabe even make it free they are already making millions i dont get why they will charge for an attraction that isn't one of the fan favorites they should make a pass that costs a few dollars more but you can ride the skyride for free but dont have too pay soo much that you get the other things you may not want if your going only for a day or two
@@BuschGardensJunkie Any time a ride opens they have supervisors/managers everywhere and max staffing, you'll see those positions dwindle in coming months to minimum staffing. It should be included in the cost of admission, it's not thrilling or unique enough to merit an upcharge like a Skycoaster or similar attraction.
I wasn't counting the managers or supervisors, if I did that there was at least 20 people running the SkyRide. Granted having that many personal on one ride doesn't merit an upcharge by itself, but you need to include the cost to reopen it. Can't say how much but they spent millions to get it all redone with new parts.
@@BuschGardensJunkie I bet staffing will go down to minimum crews in the coming weeks, and it will be one of the first rides to go down if their own labor is tight that day. And ride refurbs are something parks build into their budgets... I've never heard of any ride that was once free go down for a rebuild and come back as an upcharge. Why? Parks are already thinking about items like that and budgeting for them. That was the point of the single-price theme park admission ticket...
Dumb you would have to pay and also The Sky ride has a grip so it moves slower in the station its called a detachable grip which is better in my opinion cause it safer and you wouldnt have to stop the cable running for a rider to get on and kumba may not run smooth like butter but atleast we still have it
I knew it had one, never knew what it was called, but yes it is detachable for the stations so the gondolas don't fly through the stations and easy load and unload.
If you plan on going at least 2 or 3 times within the year, I'd suggest getting the fun card. It's the season pass that allows you entry all year minus blockout dates. It can go on sale and costs about as much as a single day ticket. Plus fun card holders can ride the sky ride for free.
We are pissed they are making us pay to ride skyride, that was free before, so we will not ride until it's free. Hopefully they see the complaints and change it
After seeing it in operation and seeing how SeaWorld Orlando Sky Tower and SeaWorld San Diego SkyRide also has an upcharge, I have to agree with them on this move. For a few dollars more day tickets can upgrade to a fun card and not have to pay the upcharge.
Good seeing you at the station!!!
Good to see you there also!

Yoo! I was there that day! Thought I recognized you in the park from far away, must’ve been you😂
Should have hollered. Where were you at?

Are there any thoughts on when pheonix rising might open?
Spring 2024. My thoughts are closer to the end of Spring like in May.

Yes every fun card or preschool card can ride the SkyRide for free. I didn't check but the pathway to Congo River Rapids was reopened.

I wish I can go to bush gardens but I can’t because I have a broken ankle 😭 I love y’all videos ❤
Aww! Hope you get well soon to enjoy Busch Gardens.
since you’re at Busch Gardens, can you ride the train please?
We tried to ride the train today for you and it wasn't running all day. All stations were closed.
I feel like in the future you may have to pay for alot of the rides and attractions that were already free they'll do anything for money

Who was that that waved to you at 11:10?
That was Christian from Christian Coasters Unite and an employee whose name escapes me.
can you please take the train please?
Next time I am there I will take the train for you Xavier.

@@BuschGardensJunkie I thought it doesn't include fun cards? Only pass members
Fun cards are included and considered as a pass for the SkyRide.
Well worth the 5.00 as the huge cost to get the 1974 Von Roll VR 101 running.
Fun Cards are pointless because you have to pay $30 parking each visit. AP is the way.
