They had a team there overnight to watch over the animals and the park. They informed the higher ups about the situation. The higher ups made the decision to bring in the employees to help the clean up. There was no risks to animals, employees, or guests to warrant keeping the park closed. I think the delayed opening was poorly handled, as in the app and website said they opened at 10 while they were clearly not open, making the announcement just under an hour prior to 10, and just overall lack of info. Even my son, employed there, didn't know about the delayed opening until about 9:15 just before clocking in.

I try not to use the same music each time. In October the music will have a more halloween theme, but it's hard to find royalty free music.

It doesn't look as exciting as Cheetah Hunt and a little shorter.

@@BuschGardensJunkie I like that it doesn't have a trim break and that it has the new style trains. Most people's biggest complaint with Cheetah Hunt is the over-the-shoulder restraints hurting their shoulders. That gives me hope that someday if they have to get new trains they will get the better ones

While I am not a fan of OTS restraints, the ones on Cheetah Hunt don't bother me. Guess I'm a little shorter then some. I do not like the ones on Tigris and Kumba.

We were very lucky to be on the East side of 19, everything on the West side looks like it flooded. Most we had was 55 mph winds and rain.

Great to meet you also. We had to be there because of our Son working Iron Gwazi. We were there at 9:15 and had to wait til 1 to go in. We left shortly after the train ride because he was getting off at 2:30.

@@airgroverjuniorcoaster9357 There was a hurricane that went through the gulf, plus a possible new one forming. Plus they are working to rebuild Jungala into Wild Oasis. I don't see the buzzer getting fixed soon, it's not that high on their priority list.

I feel like this is a more affordable addition than a roller coaster. They are also adding more animals which helps the animals variety and the zoo portion of the park. I believe they are trying to save money this year so they can have bigger additions in the future

@@Fluffy21349 that's fine by me. The park needs to add non coaster additions, and this looks like a solid retheme and upgrade over what was there before.

Same. I have a thought! Seeing some of the things and hearing what I hear around the park, I think they are focusing all the money into the refurbishment and saving up for a big attraction for 2026.

Sorry to hear about your experience. That is not the norm for sure. I can explain some of the closures. They was some recent illness that took over the gorillas and we lost two of them, that is why that are being cared for in privacy. Congo and Flyer is closed for repairs. Not sure why all the other rides were closed unless it was due to lightning in the area and well this is Florida. If you have noticed the announcement, Jungala is getting refurbished into Wild Oasis, so it will be closed until Spring 2025. What day did you go?

@@BuschGardensJunkieit was just a couple of days before Scorpion closed for good. They were having issues with Montu and Cheetah Hunt all day from what I was told….Cobras Curse was up briefly; then down a good chunk of the day. I never once saw Iron Gwazi run. I knew the Serengeti Flyer was down for maintenance…also heard about the gorilla deaths…so sad. But it just was not a great visit.

That is very unusual for they to be all having issues like that. I think Iron Gwazi was down because of a structural issue, but for CH, CC, and Montu to all have issues at the same time is off.

You really are not going to see the park operating in its full glory on a non-busy day. If you go on Monday or a Tuesday, a lot of stuff will be closed, even some dining venues. This is to save money due to the decreased attendance in the park for the day. In my opinion, theme parks are better with more people, that's why I go to theme parks anyway, more people = more excitement and more opportunities to meet others, it means the park can run 100% of its capacity and not compromise.

@@supernova4760to me there is no excuse. I was a pass holder for many many years and have been on far slower days and EVERY ride and show were in operation. I’m tired of these parks all being cheap and mismanaging them.

Corp is trying to cut cost all over the place. Just recently they were going to stop tram services during the weekdays and that was met with some feedback from guests and employees. I don't see them hiring enough staff to man that station with all the other staffing issues.

@BuschGardensJunkie bummer. I'd trade the Stanleyville station for Congo anytime. Skyride is helpful though.

It was in Jungala in the Tree Tops? I do remember a ride high up, well it was when I was a kid, and you sat in a seat that moved along a rail in the trees?

@@BuschGardensJunkie No this was actually located near the bumper cars. where the boat things were and are now gone. Where you thought they might put those kids rides. It was also not far from the Python and the spider ride which I think was called the black mamba. Back before Jungala was even there. I think I have pictures of all of them somewhere. Also the old African Queen boat ride then Tanganiga Tidal wave now Tigris. And Sandstorm flat ride where Falcons Fury is now.

@@fredreubens89 I don't remember that ride, but I do remember Python and the boat ride before Tidal Wave. Python was I believe my first coaster as a kid.

@@BuschGardensJunkie Python was my first steel coaster. Do you remember that over by the riginal Phoenix there was a trabant flat ride before they put the cheetah chase/sand serpent in that spot?

The OG Phoenix I remember but nothing but the dolphin theater in that area. I was real young back then.

They walked back that decision and the trams are running.

Unfortunately it is broken. I thought they were waiting for parts and S&S to fix it, but I think they are stalling because of lack of staff.

Just one filed on 8-14-24. Installation of a new 442 SF mercantile canopy addition to an existing fully sprinklered Mercantile building. No interior work to existing adjacent mercantile building. Scope of work includes new wood poles and beams, a new metal roof, fire protection, and ancillary electrical.

I am not sad AT ALL about this attraction. Some enthusiasts will whine that it's not a giga, but I think this is perfect. Anyone with any history at Busch Gardens will remember how great the Treetop Trails were.

@@BuschGardensJunkie exactly, I don’t think they would destroy the whole jungala area just for a pass member lounge so I do think they are going to be building something bigger in that area. Maybe the lounge could possibly take over the spot where the free beer was and overlooking the orangutans, which would be nice.
