I love it when you or runners in general engage with the monster mechanics like the three armor break topple here. More interesting than only focusing the weakest hitzone.
Im currently practicing that Sacred sheathe counter with quick sheathe, if release too early youll get hit, if too late youll lose a sword level. Idol Peppo just beautifully executed all of it. So inspiring.
@@Shades093 yes if you get hit while sheathing you will counter but lose a sword level. But if you release it before the hit it will still counter but wont lose a sword level (at 1:16 sword still white), then follow up by Iai slash(ZR/RT/R2) then youll gain a sword level (became yellow). The thing is, its super quick 😅
@@uberpersuasion5823 i use 2 counters like Peppo with 2 swap scrolls, if i dont use quick sheathe my special sheathe will suffer, so practicing with it in sacred sheathe is a must. The sheathing animation is not the problem (which where the quick sheathe works), but the releasing 😅
@PJ Mist haha yeah, its kind of a tradeoff. Either you got 4 seconds of special sheath or 4 seconds of sacred sheath. The difference is sacred sheathe is slightly faster and auto counter, so more comfy, special sheath does more damage especially in harvest moon.
I find myself repositioning to miss the first hit constantly just cause I'm afraid it's going to flinch, only for it to not flinch whenever I do it of course.
As a GS junkie when i saw that happen twice i recognized the same pain as when the TCS does the same funny thing with it's first hit. You hate to see it.

Getting S rank in the arena quests is not easy dude. Especially because they give you terrible skills, longsword doesn’t get quick sheathe. and all the weapons have bad sharpness. I got A rank on Rajang, I think 6-7 mins but i’m not interested in trying to grind it down further because I don’t like arena quests.

He countered the attack and didn't get hit, but he almost went outside of the harvest moon so it knocked back in. The I-frames from that animation made him dodge the second Ice beeath

Sacred sheath without quick sheath is way better. 4 seconds to counter and super flexible.

huh? you're able to chain iai spirit slash into another special sheathe, it was added in base rise. You have to actually land the counter, though.

I got knocked back by the Harvest Moon. You don't receive damage if you bounce back.
