Reacting to big Kpop groups for the first time | The Boyz, Seventeen, NCT, & Treasure

- I react to kpop boy groups who have a lot of members for the first time. Usually I stay away from large groups as I find the amount of people in the groups to be distracting. I feel like it’s unfair to avoid groups just because of the amount of people in them so I decided to give them a shot today! I react to Treasure, Seventeen, The Boyz, and NCT.
I’m open for any recommendations so don’t feel shy to comment your suggestions below!

My top 5 groups are literally The Boyz, NCT, Treasure, Seventeen, + EXO. I guess I just find it more entertaining when there are more of them.

in NCT 2018 there were 18 members at that time(black on black is a performance song so it’s ok to not like it)
and now there are 23 members
and they have NCT 2020 - RESONANCE MV (you should check this🔥with all 23 mbrs) this song is a remix of 4 songs in their NCT 2020 full-length album(NCT U - Make a wish, 90’s love, Work it and Raise the roof)
each of them are bops and have music videos except Raise the roof that’s a b-side track in album
and if you want to hear their heavenly vocals i recommend you From Home by NCT U (the MAMA stage if you want to watch it live)

Treasure is a rookie group under the same agency with Blackpink. They have soo many yt contents if u decide to stan them. U can check their other mvs and even their bside track r so dope.
thank you for reacting to seventeen! i definitely understand how large groups can be intimidating, but i promise after a while it doesn't feel like all that many. also i can't speak for other groups, but carats (seventeen fandom) are pretty patient when it comes to people learning the members names and such. we've all been there! but they're definitely worth it, and every member is so unique and talented that i can't imagine the group without any one of them ;-;

Seventeen. Self Producing group who do things by themselves. Woozi is a Vocal Unit leader(with 5 members) and he writes most of the song of SVT. S.Coups is a leader of SVT , leader of Hiphop Unit(with 4 members) and the oldest one( aka father of 12 children lol). Hoshi is a leader of Performance Unit(with 4 members) and a choreographer of SVT. But they also help each other to do things(sometimes Vernon and Seungkwan are in the credits at the end of the song)
13 members + 3 units(Hiphop Vocal Performance) + 1 team(SEVENTEEN) = 17

TREASURE has 12 members, the oldest was born in 1999 and the youngest was born in 2005. The member on the first and last scene is the youngest, So Junghwan. TREASURE has a lot of great songs even though they're just a one year old group. They already have a full album "The First Step : Treasure Effect" which one of their song "Orange" is produced by their own member and their rappers also participate in all their own rap lyrics in all songs, except Going Crazy because it was a signal song in their survival show, YG Treasure Box.
And recently they made songs for their first anniversary celebration for their fans called "everyday" in the new episode of their variety show, Treasure Map, which their song and music video 100% made by the members. (except for the editing of course)

The Boyz: 11 member group (originally 12 but one left on good terms due to a long standing injury), and they made a name for themselves as concept and choreo kings on Road to Kingdom, and won, and then came second on the next season Kingdom Legendary War. Their previous 2 comebacks were much darker so this bright concept was so refreshing and a lovely throwback to their earlier brighter style. No matter what they do it just comes off as totally authentic, which I love. Sunwoo with the pink hair in this MV is one of my favourite rappers in kpop, his rap style is fab. Deobi/TheB their fandom is also the chillest and nicest fandom I've found.
Treasure:12 members that came from a survival show. Babies. Super talented, and they also try a bit of everything. I absolutely love their 3 rappers (2 of their rappers are Japanese). They've been able to meet up with some K fans during the pandemic and they are incredibly close with fans, it's so sweet.
I know less about NCT, because I don't have the brain space for everyone just yet. But I love a lot of their sub unit stuff, especially NCTU and Wayv. There are 23 total members yes. As far as I know they've only come together as a full 23 for 2 projects and one live performance at (I want to say but may be wrong) MAMA. They are also coming out with a new subunit sometime in the near future.
Seventeen I also know very little about, but I have them on a lot of my playlists. They are known as the most synchronised bg in kpop, they're insane. Some of my groups I follow are impressive (looking at you The Boyz) but SVT are in another league in terms of synchronisation, and it's so impressive for 13 members. Again I haven't had time to get into them properly, so I'm slowly learning names through solo projects, and also I know WooZi because he's a tiny bean and you really can't miss him. I'm still obsessed with Hoshi - Spider, which was just * chefs kiss *
tbh, stanning these four large groups is the best decision i've ever made

Seventeen's official rap line (called hip hop team) is composed of 4 members, but there's 2 more members that occasionally rap too (part of their performance team, aka main dancers) so you could say Seventeen has 6 rappers in total

(as some of the other comments mentioned) nct has 4 subunits, which they pretty much always promote under, so it’s more like stanning 3 “normal” sized groups that do collabs (in the 4th unit). It’s a lot less intimidating to think of it and learn the members this way!

The Boyz is my ult group! Loved your reaction to thrill ride!! The bsides on this album are amazing probably my favorite ever. If you ever want to get into them and you liked thrill ride i'd recommend d.d.d., bloom bloom, and giddy up. If you like darker concepts i'd recommend the stealer, reveal, and breaking dawn. Honestly their discography is golden so any of their titles are great. Their personalities are amazing as well there is a guide by kpopluv that is great called a helpful introduction to the boyz (2021). There’s also Resonance (2020). You can react to that one, but its the mashup of 4 songs. You can react to units songs instead.

TREASURE is considered to be one of the best vocal line in the 4th gen groups bc all of their 12 members can sing SING but that does not take away from their rap (duh YG), and they are also so in sync when dancing with a few acrobatic members as well 💎💎 They just debuted last year hence they only have 4 title tracks, 8 songs in their full album, and 1 anime OST (Black Clover). More than half of the group can write, compose, and produce their own music. And above all, they are all so, so, so precious. I hope you get to react to more videos from them, they're amazing. Nct is literally a group with 23 main dancers and has no visual holes .Everyone in NCT can sing and rap .They are all rounders.
Also they are known for having one of the hardest choreos in kpop

I recommend starting with NCT 127 (127 is the longitude of Seoul). They have 10 members (9 of which are currently promoting with the group). 3 members are also in other units, so if you know them, you'll have a head start when you branch out to other units. They have a lot of great songs. I recommend Kick-it, Regular (English ver.), Simon Says, and Superhuman to start. Do NCT U (for United) last because it isn't a fixed group--they just choose whichever members best suit the song.

Treasure as a group just feels like a big warm hug.
Blackpink and BTS got me looking into KPOP but it was Treasure that made me stay. Treasure makers (teumes) treat them like sons/ and or younger brothers.

seventeen are amazing artists, and i say artists not idols cuz they're the ones who do everything themselves!! from picking a concept, what they perform on concerts, their outfits, all of their choreography and songs, even their own variety show and some special music videos are done by seventeen!! they even released a magazine that was entirely done by the members, from the editing to photography, hairstyles and outfits were all done by them! which is why korea created the term self producing idols for them. oh and no one beats them in performance! they have received an award only artists with 20+ years of experience have, it just shows how good they are! they're also looked up to by soo many people in and out the industry!! they also popularized the cute and fresh concept when they debuted in 2015! created trends like part switch versions in dance practices and taking the mbti test for a group's variety show! they have broken so many records too! like breaking a 42 year old record (i don't wanna specify what the record was cuz i don't remember it clearly but there are articles on it) and breaking backstreet boys' 12 year old record! they also have an amazing bond too, a group has even said that they wanna have the bond seventeen has! proof of that bond is re-signing with their very shitty company pledis, they're the only 10+ member group with multiple nationalities to ever do that! i could go on hours about them but i'll stop here haha

There were 13 members originally but with 1 member's departure the whole 2 unit plans were scrapped and YG Entertainment decided to debut them under the name TREASURE with the remaining 12 members and Hyunsuk being the sole leader but YG decided again that it would be best for the group to let Jihoon debut as a leader alongside Hyunsuk.

Can you react to the old and actual Apeace ? They debut 2010 but with the name Double B 21.Maybe it's was the first korean group ( boy group) with some many member (21)at that time and if we count some changes maybe 27 members.

As an Nctzen, I'll be the first to admit that we do tend to overdo the "23 member" thing lmao. NCT is divided into subunits with the largest one being NCT 127 with 10 members (1 hasn't promoted with them for a hot minute, so currently 9 members) 99.9% of the time NCT perform in their units... they literally only have 2 songs they've performed as a whole group 😂

Please check out Omega X, a S. Korean group consisting of 11 members who all previously debuted with groups which have disbanded or are inactive. They recently debuted, but have two MVs. When I watched Vamos (not knowing their back story) I was like--Uhm, they don't dance like rookies.
