BCCADSV Character Education: What is Character Lesson

How do you explain to an elementary student what "character" is? In this video lesson we explain what our "character" is with a tree metaphor. Easy for students to understand that if their character is compared to the roots of a tree, what will happen with adversity, arguments with friends or family members, and even decision making comes along and blows around our branches. Will weak roots (character) cause us to blow in the wind, or will our strong roots help us make the best decisions and choices?
