Ullswater MTB - NoPro edit

- We are just back from a week in the Lake District with the family and this idiot forgot the GoPro.
So this weeks (unintentional) Mindful challenge is to try and create an edit without the GoPro footage to practice my film making skills.
I'm not a trained film maker and find this tricky but figure practice and trial and error should yield results eventually. It's also tricky to experiment with filming while navigating a new route and trying to enjoy the ride and not take too long as we needed to get back to rouse the teenagers from their slumber.
This edit is definitely helped along by some absolutely superb music from our very good friends “The Rodians" whom are hugely popular on the Cornish live music scene and can be checked out using the following links:

Was forced to try and be a little more creative without the GoPro. iPhones make pretty good cameras these days and I Think I’ve learned a bit for future edits.

Down this way for a dog show with the wife in a few days so taking the EMTB (sorry) to explore round Ullswater - great vid - gives me some idea of what to expect :)

Hmm - any advice where to ride from and to? I have Strava/Komoot so no doubt the heatmaps will show popular routes! I'm heading off tomorrow and have focused almost exclusively on Ullswater lol - I have no definite plans though - comfortable with a bit of tech too!

We are actually just down and back for the day from Scotland - the dog show is near Newton Reigny - and I'm leaving from there as the van needs to stay on site all day for swapping dogs in and out :)@@MindfulTrailBiker
@@pmacfto in that case the ullswater bridleway would be the best. Then loop back over beada fell as per our edit, that will take you back in the right direction. 👍
Done a beda fell and Ullswater single track video. It's an interesting route isn't it 🤣
There’s not much flow to it but we had a good morning and we could set off from the door of the lodge so it had the convenience factor. We did Helvellyn a few days after but there was zero visibility so did it bother trying to film

@@shannonmtb i haven’t rode sticks but think it’ll be better than dollywagon/grisedale. I knew dollywagon would have been a mare but expected more from grisedale valley to be honest. Too many pedal strikes, a bit too tech for it to be fully enjoyable imo.
