Why haven’t I heard the gospel preached like this in all my 15 years of being Christian. I’ve been so focused on works, being obedient, and trying to please. I’m exhausted.

Christ became the curse for us! WOW! How blessed are we! He doesn't remember our sin! Unbelief in Christ is sin. Faith is believing ! it is impossible to stop sinning, I know! If you think you can, then you deceive yourself. Like the woman caught, she knew she deserved death, Im that woman, He never stoned me, He forgave me because He is The Rock of Salvation! We have the RIGHT to stand before God on that day and say I am saved only through Christ! I feel you Johnny! Its truly simple and that people cannot simple get. You saved my life dawg, the church is very good at making us feel not enough, and the goal being unattainable. When i accepted this i changed completely. Doctors, medications, treatment centers, AA, recovery groups, throwing the substances away, changing jobs, separation in my marriage, NOTHING ever worked for 20 years of sin and addiction! Then I finally have Jesus TRULY in my life today, life isn’t easy, it doesn’t work like that! But I can tell you I don’t have one thought of using any substance today! HE gets me through the day!

People try to find excuses not to keep the commandments but there are so many verses that say "keep my commandments." In all honesty you can't keep his commandments through works. As God's love envelops us you will automatically keep God's 10 commandments which he wrote with his finger. The closer we come to God we won't lie, we won't steal, we won't commit adultery etc etc. WHY? cos God's love has automatically been embedded in our hearts. The new covenant meant they no longer had to do the daily sacrifices. The heavy veil in the temple was ripped from top to bottom because the ultimately sacrifice Jesus Christ had paid the price. 😢

The probability that you will read this is negligible, however I am struggling with the butler and baker Bible verse. Your teaching is helping me and now I am struggling with this story. In Genesis Jesus Christ was not yet come to fulfill the law, so in the butler /baker story man was still under the law, so how can you apply what was yet to come (the fulfillment of the law) to a verse that was yet under the law.

@jayl8810 I would start with the book of John, followed by Genesis, then however else the Spirit leads you. Always pray before reading the Bible that the Holy Spirit open your heart and mind to understanding His Word. Hope this helps

We are not standing in our own righteousness. We are standing in the righteousness of Jesus Christ, because of his finished work at Calvary and his resurrection. How should I discipline my children. I tell them to obey. But I want to know how I’m suppose to reach their hearts. I’m angry when they disobey me. But I know I have no right to be angry.
Continue t do good. With everyday life it can be difficult to keep children focused and with all th social media aswell. Let God's words spk. Place scriptures around yur home backed with cardboard so it firm. Hang them up so kids can read th words of God when they pass by to th kitchen, bedroom etc. Not fanatically of course. As they read God will connect with their spirit. It will have an impact eventually. They must see th word around them. Many children are visual learners on thrir phones, tablets so let them see th word in the home. Instead of buying those hanging stuff in BnMs make Godly ones.

We’re no longer under the law we’re under grace because with Jesus Christ, I don’t cross for our sins he ushered in Grace . What is grace? It is unearned undeserved unmerited favor with God, which we obtain to Jesus Christ is death and resurrection. What is the law? The law says do good and I will Less you . Grace says I have blessed you. Now do well. If we could live under the law, the death and resurrection of Jesus would’ve been pointless, but praise God we are now living under grace and not the law.❤

How should I discipline my children. I tell them to obey. But I want to know how I’m suppose to reach their hearts. I’m angry when they disobey me. But I know I have no right to be angry.
Continue t do good. With everyday life it can be difficult to keep children focused and with all th social media aswell. Let God's words spk. Place scriptures around yur home backed with cardboard so it firm. Hang them up so kids can read th words of God when they pass by to th kitchen, bedroom etc. Not fanatically of course. As they read God will connect with their spirit. It will have an impact eventually. They must see th word around them. Many children are visual learners on thrir phones, tablets so let them see th word in the home. Instead of buying those hanging stuff in BnMs make Godly ones.
