Slightly less energetic than the original, but I like it, the piano feels soothing, even though it's playing a creepy tune like Necro-Fantasy. - เพลง
This is basically old school videogame soundtracks except evolved into a sense of extreme and straight up awesome.

You know ran is such an overlooked character. Like sure when she is out of shikigami possession he power level is around that of extremely powerful youkai yet people forget that ZUN has stated that when she is under Shikigami posession she reaches the same power level as her master not to mention that her skills on things like calculating and stuff even at time exceed Yukari as she is only person who has managed to measure the lenght of Sanzu river without crossing it and for such powerful youkai she is still considered somewhat young. Ofc there are characters like Okina or Hecatia that wipe the floor with everyone else, but i just wanted to remind people that Ran is alot more than spinning ball of fluff

I can’t help but imagine Ran absolutely *losing it* on the trumpet.
I always kinda imagined the "Necro" themes to represent the Yakumos, their power and influence, while "Night Falls ~ Moring Star" is Yukari's proper theme... In a way, I also kinda feel it's appropriate that Ran has no personal theme/leitmotif since she, being a shikigami, is ultimately just an extention of Yukari's own power and influence.

Hecatia's also a god, not a yokai.
I love this one more than her original theme and the original Necrofantasia. It's much more beautiful here. The original Necrofantasy is all about Eargasm and Order, while Necrofansia is Eargasm and Chaos. This one is much more well-composed IMO.
It would have beaten the remixed Necrofantasia already if the latter didn't really have such nice additions.
In Stage 6 of my fangame, you fight Chen Ran, and Yukari. I SERIOUSLY considered using this instead of the original stage theme.
What was the original stage theme? Eternal Shrine Maiden.

I like the idea of Necrofantasia is a theme for the Yakumo's while each of them have their own themes like Yukari with Night Fall, and Chen with Diao Ye Zong. And i know she's not Yakumo, but what if she's still in her training process? Now i wonder what would Ran theme sounds like if that the case.

Imo Ran's personal theme would be Charming Domination.

I think Charming Domination has often been associated with Ran. I interpret the theme as ominous, mechanical, and rapid, representing Ran, the most prominent shikigami of Yukari, known for her intellectual ability comparable to that of a computer. It also have the melodious section that correspond to her identity as a kitsune youkai, one of the well known, if not the most well known traditional youkai with long history.
Chen's theme actually goes very well with Ran or Yukari's theme. A good exemple of that is the 4th stage of concealed the conclusion.
Chen's theme shares similarities with Ran and Yukari's theme, but the leimotiv isn't present in her theme, maybe because she still isn't a Yakumo.
I know the music is amazing and all, but damn the artwork...
i think when Zun wrote these composition he thought only about fluffy fox tails for sure.
I congratulate this song cause': the piano gives the terrifying mood and the part of the original song give the touch, of course the trumpets and the drum is like if there was no tomorrow. Also the part after the main part is so intense, like something is preparing for and then the main part mixed with the actual part, and then the main part come with everything; that's the moment you realize both parts make soo much sense together, then the first part come with violins and the piano like ultra emotional, then the drums comes and the piano so crazy, and finally: it is repeated

The original wasn't bad per se, but it was completely overshadowed by the amazing theme that is Necrofantasia.
This arrange, however, is very atmospheric and definitely puts even some Necrofantasia arranges to shame.
Though, there's still many more Necrofantasia arranges, due to the original theme's popularity.
James Petruska well I mean every arrange of Necrofantasia is an arrange of Necro-fantasy! (Technically)
James Petruska actually I mean I guess to each there own but Necro-Fantasy is a much better theme. It has much better construction and more buildup especially with the opening which is the best tune in both themes. Necrofantasia is just... sloppy at points but I guess it's pretty nice. The version in magical Astronomy is amazing though, it sounds more like it's own thing.
The build-up here is definitely better, yeah
When you listen to this, you wonder why people listen to other things.

Is it just me , or why does it feel like this song perfectly captures the strength of Ran and the mystery surronding her.
Ran is just an shikigami , we do not know her real name as the name `Ran` is made by Yukari .
We do not know her strength or what she can do as she's never showed her true strength ( just like nearly every strong touhou character) , I also kinda feel like she was inspired by the Japanese myth called the ` nine tailed fox ` but i dont really know tbh
