A day out in Bali | Bali | Indonesia | Sixty and Travelling
Bali is a paradise for travellers. We went around two of its very popular destinations, viz. Handara Gate and Lake Bratan, also called Lake Beratan.
We started from our resort in the morning after breakfast. First destination was, Handara Gate. It took us almost two hours of driving to reach Handara Gate, located in a hilly area with picturesque surroundings. It's the entrance to a private golf course. But this Gate is very popular because of the exotic backdrop it provides for some amazing photoshoots. It's popularity can be gauged from the fact that though initially we were told that wait time for photoshoot is 13 minutes, we ended up waiting in fairly hot sun for an hour before our turn came for photoshoot. But the process of photoshoot, the skillful work of the photographer available there, and of course the stunning backdrop, all together made it an immensely enjoyable experience with some truly amazing results.
After Handara Gate, we headed towards Lake Bratan, also known as Lake Beratan. This Lake enjoys the reputation of being the second biggest Lake in Bali after Lake Batur, which we shall be covering in a separate outing. Lake Bratan is a huge Lake with a big park full of gardens and temples. The ambience there was absolutely fascinating. We spent quite some time there before returning to our resort after another fulfilling day in Bali.
