I actually hated the way Inning programs worked. Liked how it was program points before and how you could still grind previous innings but now it’s XP and you can’t do old ones. I also enjoyed the XP reward path bc it provided something to grind for early in the year instead of collections
Yeah I agree. Plus it was way too easy to finish the program. I finished every single one with like 9 days left. There should've been bonus stuff after 600k xp

The one thing I was curious about for other people and you as well is how did you feel about the event rewards? Some of my favorite players were in there personally and I’m curious how others felt about the grind for unique cards in that section.

This is by far the most I played an MLB The Show game in a year. Absolutely grinded DD to death, got almost every card in the game while going no money spent. Had a lot of fun and tried the most online ranked seasons ever. I slowed down heavy once the xp stopped glitching and I wasn’t getting 650k xp every inning program, but I always checked in on new team affinity’s and player programs. I look forward to the grind this year, it was real fun.
I agree with you 100%, also I did not like that some players best cards were when they were on teams that they weren't remembered for like Billy Wagner, Jim Thome, tec.
I must be missing something. MLB the show 22 seems like the least biggest jump from one year to the next. I only play franchise. Do you guys think this year’s title is worth the upgrade?

i just really hope in mlb 22 the hits are realistic, basically what im saying is the off pci homers or early homers etc. I just hope they find ways to eliminate people freezing games especially when you’re winning that’d be great. Also, i hope they make pitching realistic, just want to see different pitch speeds instead of 102 every single pitch yk.
I agree I think that there should me some sort of xp reward path, I liked getting to Diamond and it would usually take me all year. I like the aspect of grinding something that takes the whole year
I loved the game for the most part this year (despite the constant servers errors for the whole first month), but it definitely felt pointless once we hit November with all the great cards we got in the first three months of the game. I just hope the card scaling is a lot more balanced in 22 so I have a reason to keep playing in the later months of the cycle. Better inning programs will definitely go a long way in that regard. Also I'm glad that OOTP exists because it'll give me a nice break when I want to scratch that franchise itch the The Show doesn't really offer.

I hated how they took out all the legendary pitching and few batting animations on MLB The Show 21. They took out Halladay's, Lincecum's, Schilling and other pitching motions, plus few other legend batting stances they took out

I quit 21 in January and Honestly I wouldn’t be mentally stable enough to play 22 if I had played 21 to this point content was so good in 21 but the gameplay was iffy because their would be some games that the other player wasn’t as good as you their pci would be nowhere near the ball and they would still hit it out meanwhile I’m making good quality swings and get nothing in return with that being said I give this game about a 5/10
All I wanted was a GOOD Griffey card to use but they locked it behind the collection and I never got to use him. I was already tired of the game by the time he came out. I still can get him but it was just too late.

I agree with the score, gameplay and servers had some horrible issues with practically zero communication from SDS. Tech test didn’t feel much different from 21 for me, my PlayStation might start collecting dust with all the shitty games (besides ER) that have been coming out recently.
@@ruloez5587 defensive stats dont mean nearly as much at 3rd as they do 2nd. Speed is also very important at 2nd. Corey is like 40 speed Tatis is 99. It would be objectively better to play Tatis at 2nd, he will keep alot of the balls in the infield and make a lot more plays than Corey. Its the end of the year and really doesnt matter, just pointing it out bc of how strange the decision is.
I loved the amount of content and cards for 22 so many godsquads you could make. If it were based off that it would be 10/10 but the gameplay experience was terrible i lost so many games due to freeze offs and my opponents getting a HR on a pitch where the pci center 2 inches below it on the feedback. It was frustrating when i hit perfect flyouts and line drives and be completely on balls but on the late side of good I probably lost close to 40 games like that. Overall a decent year tho final is 6/10
I didnt like that they introduced pint point pitching. And pitchers never tired, so working the count didn't have impact as it should be. Also,, I had lot of games where I hit perfec-perfect several times and line out and then some terrible hit where my PCI is not on the ball I hit HR. It looks so strange. I have a feeling that luck was more in the game than skill... Maybe I am wrong but this is just my feeling about gameplay. Fielding atributes didnt matter. You could place Soto or any other player with low fielding atributes and was almost the same like players with 90 fielding. I think MLB 20 was more balanced in that direction. I hope that they fix this. Also, I dont think that it is good to have 99 cards after 1 month of game launch. I see 22 they start with 90 Acuna. It means you will deal with 99 god squads after 1-2 months.... Overall 21 was game with lot of hype but did much less than was expected. They tried everything but something went in wrong direction. I dont see that 22 will fix these issues... We;ll see....

However, I disagree that they were not that good, since as a person that does not spend money on DD, I appreciate that they give us a legitimate chance to complete against people who spend money. I used Pedro on my run to make WS for the first time of playing this game in 8 years due to that. Just keep perspective that this could be like madden’s structure where you could not win at all without spending money.

I started after Thanksgiving. Still had a God squad without spending a dime. Couldn’t say the same about MUT or MyTeam.
