This place is legendary!! The owner Nasir is an amazing guy. We travel from Birmingham every few months just for this place. The food and hospitality never fails to deliver
I have been to this place a few times now. Never disappointed with the quality of the food and Nas always has time to greet and talk to all his customers even if the restaurant is completely full which it is most of the time. That personal touch makes a huge difference. May Allah bless him with greater rewards and hopefully we will be visiting again quite soon for my wife’s birthday
Big up Bangladesh and Pakistan, they have the best food in the world from my opinion . I've got many friends from Bangladesh and Pakistan in London and have been lucky enough to try both of their authentic home cooking which is just something else, if you know, you know!
This place is banging, he’s food is next level and brother Nasir has great customer service, as a owner he personally checks in on customer … my friends and family travel from east to west for this place
Looks great Latif. Thanks for showing us. I'm going to share this with a friend. Who lives in London. Who says, they can't get an authentic good lamb curry.👍
It is lovely to see authentic places that have not compromised to try to be trendy. I have noticed the "Gordon-Ramsay-fication" of Bangladeshi, Indian, and Pakistani food in some places (Ramsay has done some very unfair reviews mocking restaurants for cuisines he knows next to nothing about while his own restaurants serve overpriced bland food e.g. he mocks the large naan breads and criticizes the oils that should be on top of a good curry)
Some of the things that he criticises are traditional/cultural recipies and styles which will never be compromised just to keep a foul mouth, disgusting, attention-seeking individual like Ramsay happy
Wow! He started up Taste of Khyber in Brum? Great place, some of the best chaplis I’ve tasted and the charsi karahi is spot on. Good to see the appeal widening. Everyone I have introduced to this Pakistan/Afghan cuisine absolutely loves it, for its simple authenticity and that moreish flavour of the karahi & Peshawar naan combo! just leaves you with cravings 😂 must go ASAP…
I’ve been going here ever since it was a 1 unit shop and it’s been amazing since the beginning alhamdulillah. I’ve taken a lot of non Pakistani people there and they all thoroughly enjoyed it!
The brothers right, there’s a reason why Chapli kebab, Chicken and Lamb Karahis, Dum pukht, Bannu palao, and Shinwari food which all originate in Peshawar Pakistan are served in Afghanistan and Afghan restaurants. Usually because the people running the Afghan restaurants are actually Pakistani Pashtun trying to market their food for familiarity. But also because those Pakistani dishes aswell as Lahori(punjabi) dishes are served in Afghanistan too.
You need to visit Desi Chaska in Croydon Thornton Heath, it is a Pakistani restaurant and takeaway, the food is 5 star, and affordable, it is always busy with ethnic people, as the food is authentic.
Salam aleikoum wa rahmatoullah wa barakatouh, oooh so happy to see u went to this restaurant. I'm planning to come soon in London and I'm lost now with all the restaurants u showed. Beautiful day 🙂
Commenting this before finishing the video. But it's funny how life works, you're reviewing this for the first time and i'm going here for the first time this Sunday with my Pakistani friend before he goes away for a few months.
Bro so good to see you finally go to our recommendation! This is my local, used to live till my teens on the road behind and went to the school around the corner and still the mosque is my local. Now 10 mins away ! Glad you enjoyed it, every time I have family come from up north or from the usa they all insist we go to taste of Pakistan !
@ so glad you enjoyed the food and hospitality, don’t forget about my other recommendation Shahi Nan kebab in Southall , and make sure it’s the northcote avenue one ! Maybe not somewhere you can do a full review. But you being a foodie you have to try it
I’ve went a few months back….note; Book in advance! It gets busy especially on weekends. The food is lovely with a good price. However there is a lot of noise. Not the best place for a date but nice for families with kids. The owner is exactly like he is in the video, lovely warm and friendly brother.
If you ever find yourself in North Carolina here in the USA, make sure to eat at Kababish Cafe in downtown Cary, NC. Great Pakistani food served up by a super friendly family. So good!
Ok. I agree. Which was better? The owner who is beyond gracious OR how delicious the food looked? Someone needs to develop smell-a-vision. Everything looked delectable and divine. Also whenever you see a restaurant popping/lots of people you know it is good❗️❗️❗️ I need a seat at their table!😊😁

Salaam Brother Latif. I have a plan to visit you in GB. Besides your blessed food, I need to try this Pakistani Restaurant, because we have Aga’s Restaurant which is the most renowned in North America-is consistently at a high clip. Aga’s Restaurant in Houston has a White Karahi (Chicken Kebab, Beef Kebab, Paneer/Muttar or Veg Kofta)-it’s Creamy, Slightly Spicy and It’s “Divine”.
Dilpasand is not good. Always empty. Try Tayyabs very good Pakistani place and also Haveli in Ilford lane very good Pakistani place, both are always packed
Karahi is most definitely my favourite curry. A very humble Brit. But I have made it myself using every herb and spice, ok yes, plus the UK BIR gravy, but IT WORKS!! Amazing curry. Chicken, chicken tikka, lamb, lamb tikka! Karahi curries are sublime!!❤😊🥰
Same. Used to meet him in Taste of Khyber in Birmingham. Really nice guy, and food was amazing when he was there. I remember him saying he’s going to London to open a place. Khyber is still good, but not as good as when he was there.
Peace brother, I’m no doctor, but there’s no specific cuisine for diabetes. Also, how you address the condition is dependent on what the cause is-is it pancreatic dysfunction? Or, early stage? Electrolyte Balance is key (the lab work should show this). Drink the best water you can get, which should have higher than a neutral pH that is natural, not by Baking Soda or Calcium Chloride. Get a High Quality Ionic Sea Mineral Solution and add this to your water, drinking daily. Eliminate refined sugar, table salt, white flour and highly acidic foods from your diet. This is important: Never eat and drink at the same time; wait until an hour before drinking after you eat. Chew (masticate) your food completely before swallowing & don’t overeat. Don’t eat late. Drink fresh juices (Not BEETS or CARROTS!)-you can look online for some recipes, but don’t mix the fruit with the vegetables. I suggest a gentle blood cleansing herb called Red Clover-it’s not expensive and has a floral taste that you can drink as much as you want. Deep Breathing (properly) and exercise in addition to the above will change your life. Don’t stress and make a plan/goals that suit your lifestyle. There’s a lot of DON’Ts, but most MDs will just give you basics and tell you to take metformin, which is poison (as other pharmaceuticals). I hope this somewhat helps. *This is not intended in any way or form to be medical advice & I do not claim to be a practitioner of any sort.
Hi Latif, when i lived in the uk i used to order a Indian takeaway and they served a sauce that was runny bright red with mint and onion but i cannot find a recipes on it. Would you know what the sauce is.
I visited Pakistan after 15 years, I went to some famous places in kpk. The chicken was so hard my teeth hurting for a few hours after the meal. Like I said in the video. The chefs are talented but are not given the proper ingredients. Come n check us out. I promise I’ll prove you wrong
My question is about beef. My family, in uk, discovered our first ‘Indian’ restaurant back in the late 1960s. They, like most others in the uk, were actually owned and run by folk from Pakistan. I still dream of the quality of their food even to this day. They survived exactly 50 years and I could cry about their closure. Over the years they bent to consumers by removing those wonderful solid spices from rice and sauces rather than tell customers to appreciate them. I was disappointed. We grew up with that owner and his family as friends and customers. What we did notice about their menu, compared to modern restaurants, is that they’d offer beef as a meat option. I looked beef up. Yes I understand that beef is seen as sacred in Hindu India but it’s not haram in Islam. So why have questions I’ve asked to local restaurants been answered in irritation? Nowadays beef, especially slow cooked options, is cheaper and less fatty than lamb.
I have eaten there twice and the food was good overall. However, how can you say the ' amazing lamb karahi before tasting it ' ? I can no longer trust food reviews in full especially when you get a freebie meal - if the food was not good.. would you say so when it's free?
Unfortunately lot of you can’t tell the difference between sheep, goat or baby lamb meat .If you wana it proper Pakistani homemade food with good quality meat try Chaat n grill ilford lane. And if wana eat pakistani style homemade mooli paratha, sarsoon saag paratha and aloo try cha cha chai walthamstow.
@@ZakirKhan-fo7nq that was former Indian or East Pakistan but all this was from the spice trade routes which spread to China and beyond into the middle East and was a form of Barter if you know what that means
Chapli kabab 60%beef 40% pork a few crushed boiled eggs veggies crap same old garlic, Kuti Lal Mircha fried in lard . Crispy on the outside moist inside Marsha allah it’s Afreen .
Was thinking of going until I read the owners replies on trip advisor, sorry when you use "wallahi" and "Alhamduallah" then use language like animals and mental health to describe people leaving low reviews is bad show. He has the variety of vocabulary to get message across without being a bully or sounding arrogant. If your going to speak "muslim" then act "muslim".
In Islam we are allowed to defend ourselves businesses and property. Alhamdolilllah we always try to give the best food and service. You don’t know what happened with those people?? I have a different style of running my business. I never believed customer is always right and I never will till the last day. Good luck to you mate..
would avoid this restaurant if your religious, wouldnt give you 1 grain of rice even if your starving to death 😅 even to my indian friend also. back up on the work ladder now on good salary and off the streets, but i remember these guys
who cares, if the foods good, i don't get a bad stomach, happy days... rem years ago there was no number rating, just smiley faces emoji etc, nobody bat an eyelid.... and 3 our of 5 is fine,
@@ZakirKhan-fo7nq Well the video does show him breaking a piece of meat on a platter (after he has eaten) and then that platter is shown being served to a customer
@@MD-wv7eenot sure what your problem is? The man was wearing a glove. Like I said I have known the customer for over 10 years. He wouldn’t mind if Latif had eaten half of the leg. We Pakistani’s work differently we are not petty.

@@ZakirKhan-fo7nq Well the video does show him breaking a piece of meat on a platter (after he has eaten) and then that platter is shown being served to a customer
@@ZakirKhan-fo7nq Who said he ate the meat he touched?? Who cares if you've known the customer for 10 years?
@@MD-wv7eenot sure what your problem is? The man was wearing a glove. Like I said I have known the customer for over 10 years. He wouldn’t mind if Latif had eaten half of the leg. We Pakistani’s work differently we are not petty.
