Recipe
*Tip: read through the entire recipe before starting
1 pound Butter (4 sticks, Karlie used salted butter)
3 cups Sugar
258g Chocolate (6 bars of Hershey's, 43g each)
nut of choice (Walnuts) grind to coarse
top with nut of choice (walnuts, pecans, etc.)
*need candy thermometer
Grind nuts to coarse, lay evenly on baking tray (line tray with parchment paper for easy cleanup/removal)
save left over nuts for topping
melt butter in pot/pan/whatever you want to call it
put on medium to high heat
slowly incorporate sugar (but not too slowly, just don't dump it all in at once)
*use candy thermometer!
remove from heat at 310°F (154°C)
Quickly! Move fast for the following steps!
Pour toffee over laid out nuts, spread evenly
quickly put chocolate bars on top so it'll melt, wait a few minutes then spread it around
sprinkle on the rest of the nuts for topping.
keep in cool dry place so it chills and sets
crack into pieces once harden
store in airtight containers

It's usually to 300 degrees. I think she over cooked it because she was distracted on the phone but it didn't look burnt so maybe she meant to go to 310?
