I went to the egg shop and ate the reformer, it was amazing the whole restaurant is so nice and all the dishes taste wonderful, thank you for recommending it
i love watching people cook.....that's why i stay and just enjoy...nothing is new under the sun...i just love to watch Karlie! The guy is so kool...more video Karlie...
I saw you on a billboard here and thought "Oh hey, that's Karlie!" and it felt like i saw a friend there. I've never met you, yet it feels that way. That's really something not many people have, that warm vibe that makes you feel like you know someone even through a camera, just because of who they are. I'm definitely not getting my daily eggs in NYC (I live in Amsterdam...) but I still watch videos like these because you're you. And that's meant as a big compliment, I hope you'll take it that way. Keep it up!
You know, I'm not a stranger to making "fancy sandwiches" (read: cramming some ingredients that fit together", but just looking at that sandwich I just know that if I were to eat it half of the condiments would fall out of it half-way through. That's why I generally prefer simple sandwiches: an omelette, some lettuce, two big slices of bread and done. It's easy to eat, cheap as hell and quite filling.
1. I doubt the Deli has as many employees to pay. 2. No one is forced to eat out anywhere they don’t like or find too expensive. 3. If you think there is one lifestyle for every single New Yorker, you‘ve been living in a weird bubble.
What?! That's like £11 British money omg. You get bigger, same (or better) quality sandwiches like that in London for less than half the price, I'm legitimately shocked.
Finally subscribed to you channel! Thank you for doing this. I feel like I'm being a part of your life. :) Take care and continue to be an inspiration. hugs from the Philippines
Thank you for bringing new York food to the rest of us in the world, if I'm ever there I'll be sure to visit eggshell and 2 hands. Food looks delicious! Xx
Why you would spend $15 on that sandwich: - The ingrediënts are expensive for ready-made food - You save time, and for some people that's more important than money (for many central New Yorkers it is) - You meet people when you're out, which is very important (both socially and to make $$$) - It's done very well, we're not talking McDonald's food here.
No Mathilde, that's about making choices. Look at Casey Neistat: Went to New York, had nothing, lived in a tiny, tiny sublet where he slept on an extendable couch which he couldn't even fully turn into a bed because the room was too small, only had a busted camera to make videos and a job to keep him alive. Used his creativity and kept going for years, eventually got more space and built himself a life in NYC. And now he can afford overpriced NYC juices. He created his "privilege" by giving up a lot of luxury and working hard for years and years. Trying to do that is a privilege we all have.
It's 15 dollars we are talking about. The average person earns 3 dollars a day on this planet... You realise a homeless person in NYC has more access to clean water, free internet, air-conditioned spaces and doctors than the average person leaving in central afica or south asia, right ? America is the 1%. You're right it's about making choices. But privileged ones. Also I would'nt call nothing the following : Entertaining the thought of keeping a child at 17 because 1) you have a strong family support system to fall back on in case shit happens 2) not the permanent expectation that you should take charge of the education and nurtering of your child full time, so you can pursue your creative endeavours in one of the most expensive city ever 3) the hability to risk more because their is a plan B such as a family with actual homes nearby, or a state that is developped enough that it can afford you welfare 4) a brother that can adopt you in case you wanna cut corners, a brother that can spark your creative interests and help you form a video niche/style and invest in a studio with you before crediting you 100% control over the narrative you wanna see people believe about your genre 5) a religion that helps making connections with well-off daughters of doctors or real estates moguls, and networking as a whole especially in NYC.. 6) The ability to fail without it being the end of your life, as some opportunity can be a privilege in itself. Casey sure likes to talks about himself and how hard he's worked for what he's got. True that all the green juices he promotes and the lifestyle he likes to flaunt will never make up for the cigarettes he's smoked and the hours he hasn't slept. But this story isn't half as relatable as you'd like it to be.
So everyone's privileged if they didn't start as: A child in some inhospitable and tribal warzone in Africa who's parents died from AIDS, without food or water, and with some weird diseases and possibly some mental and physical disabilities. Stretching the definition there. That way you can always say someone simply 'had it easy' instead of just recognizing they did much better than 99% of people in their situation.
alexanderje Truth is, 99% of people weren't in Casey's position to begin with when he started reaching for success. One example, do you think Casey would have gotten the recognition he has today was he born a female, school dropout, single motherhood and all ? Just try to be realistic about it. No saying he is totally underserving of his success. I actually respect his creative mind and entrepreneur mindset *but* he did benefit from opportunities not everyone would ever have with the same amount of work. So please stop with this cultish american dream mentality. Also when you can afford 15 dollar sandwiches on the daily, you had the privilege of your opportunities and are part of the 1%. Gratefulness is a beautiful thing.
The yolk is where nearly all the fat is, and it is about 3x the calories of the white. OTOH, feta cheese while having strong vitamin value is very low in fat. BTW, that looked so good. I'm going to make one tomorrow once I run to the store in the morning.
Love the folding of the eggs method! I made mine a little differently in my video, I used mason jar tops to get a perfectly round shape! This looks delicious and is going on my recommended videos list!
Whelp. I guess next time I'm NYC for Kajitsu, or Beauty and Essex, I'll try breakfast at Egg Shop. Thanks for the recommend, and that little feta blend tip on the finished egg as a technique detail. This was a fun style of video.
Hey Karlie. I always smile when I see you've uploaded a new video. I've never been to New York but I recently read a cookbook by New York based chef Tyler Kord called A Super Upsetting Cookbook About Sandwiches. He has a restaurant in NY called No 7 Sub (ask your friend Christina Tosi about it because she has a blurb on the book) and he has a pretty amazing breakfast sandwich that's kinda like an egg mcmuffin with broccoli on it. You should check it out when you're in NY. P.S I love your instagram page too.
4 egg whites -> kocok -> heat pan the pan medium -> oil -> buat telor dadar -> salt and pepper -> top with feta cheese Bread diagnolly -> add beefsteak tomatoes and spinach -> add egg -> add avocado + bread
That sandwich better become my therapist for that price...
That was sweet of Nick to share his recipe! Need to try making this at home asap.
I made this recipe for my wife on her return from an overnight trip. Apparently I now walk on water. Thanks Karlie
I went to the egg shop and ate the reformer, it was amazing the whole restaurant is so nice and all the dishes taste wonderful, thank you for recommending it
The Ugwe do you know what the bread they use is called?
i love watching people cook.....that's why i stay and just enjoy...nothing is new under the sun...i just love to watch Karlie! The guy is so kool...more video Karlie...
thats $15 + tax + tips... just fyi

Once again, Karlie Kloss is the best part of waking up ^_^
I was just thinking about an easy lunch to make at home! Perfect timing, Kloss 👌🍳

This is so simple and delish - but you better believe I put some hot sauce and ketchup on it :)
Hello Karlie!!! Love you so much
Hello Karlie!!! Love you so much
Hello Karlie!!! Love you so much
Hello Karlie!!! Love you so much!!!
You can get an egg and cheese for $1.75 at the deli....that's what "new yorkers" do.
Ashley Hall EXACTLY
And they are so damn good! Lol I miss NY!
haha smart.
1. I doubt the Deli has as many employees to pay. 2. No one is forced to eat out anywhere they don’t like or find too expensive. 3. If you think there is one lifestyle for every single New Yorker, you‘ve been living in a weird bubble.
I love you so much Karlie! You are so right, you can never have enough feta cheese
His energy was very calming.
I LOVE YOU KARLIEEE!!!
0:09 is so beautiful! 😊
check out my last vid of nyc for more aesthetic clips like that 😊😊
yeah it's so instagramable
Why is everyone against yolks these days?
Anna Kharlamova Some people just prefer egg whites, I know I do even though the yolk has most of the nutrients.
because it's full of cholesterol
Not really and it's mostly the good kind anyway.
YasmineAndCo Yolks have a lot of nutrients. One will hardly kill you.
Cause yolks have a ton of cholesterol and not as much protein as the whites
15 bucks??? I'll eat at home thanks.
nyc prices!
This is my go to egg sandwich
It looks mouth-watering😀
Wanna eat some!
It looks so good! I can see why it's your favourite! Nick seems really down to earth as well!
love you karlie!
It's so beautiful that you take your time to show this to us.
That Egg Sandwich is $15, typical NYC prices...
har795 cost of production 2$
probably rent is high there though
What?! That's like £11 British money omg. You get bigger, same (or better) quality sandwiches like that in London for less than half the price, I'm legitimately shocked.
$12 + 3$ optional for an avocado, I'm dying, that's soooo exagerated !!!
Where in London are you? London is just as expensive. :P
No it's not. I live in East London and its not as expensive as America. Even schooling is cheaper here :p
Finally subscribed to you channel! Thank you for doing this. I feel like I'm being a part of your life. :) Take care and continue to be an inspiration. hugs from the Philippines

Love these types of videos ❤️

privileged life in a nutshell

Karlie, I love you and your videos. You make me smile :)
This is on my list, thanks karlie!
love you 😍😍😍
I just made this. I'm eating it right now. I thought it would taste basic but it's hella yummy. I used regularly tomatoes and no spinach.
apparently frying yolk-less eggs is an art form.
It looks so gooood.... made it at home since I can't go to NYC, honestly the best sandwich I ever had! :)
Karlie you make me hungry 😂
So elegant in everything you do... :)
Now I'm hungry for one!
i love you karlie
Now I know what I am going to have for lunch!
wait you remove the yolk but decide to put cheese on it.... logic?

If you don’t see the difference between a yolk and feta cheese, no one can really help you.
@@pb.j.1753 if you read my comment and dont understand what i meant then really nobody can help You
Looks delicious!

YUMMMMMMMMMMMYYY!!!!!!
Kind of looks like the egg white wasn't cut yet as you two grabbed the reformer. CUT! And enjoy. Looks like an awesome meal. Thanks for posting.

😍Egg Shop!
oh man. I should not be watching this during Ramadan while I'm fasting.
TE AMO
I was hoping Karlie would go to a corner bodega and get a bacon, egg & cheese. That's the true Best Breakfast Sandwich in NYC.
Fair. There's something to be said for a good bodega breakfast sandwich - but this one is just soo good. And fresh.
Hi Karlie, greetings from Malaysia
he is smitten, also egg yolks are kinda the best part about eggs :')
4 egg whites -> kocok -> heat pan the pan medium -> oil -> buat telor dadar -> salt and pepper -> top with feta cheese
Bread diagnolly -> add beefsteak tomatoes and spinach -> add egg -> add avocado + bread
This is making me crave avocados :)
