I’m not disappointed that LR left. I don’t think he was the right guy to lead OU into the SEC. His teams were soft and that won’t fly in the SEC. Brent will make sure they are ready.
Lebby has risen every program he has visited. Currently, he is ranked 4th over all on offense and leads the SEC in rushing. More importantly, he is an OU guy!
First, I enjoyed the report. I do want to clarify that as an OU fan, it wasn’t just an OU ego thing that had me upset regarding LR leaving for another university. It had more to do with his blatant lies regarding OU being family, stating he would not go anywhere else (in the NCAA), speaking of the aspirations to bring the National Title back and then blatantly sabotaging the program. He left abruptly without truly addressing the team or fans. He had multiple coaches on board that left under night cover and made every effort to bring recruits that were recruited on OU time and money. LR’s self serving ways reflect his character and making more money doesn’t justify that IMO. Not at any school.
You first need to realize that with all the parameters in place today ,it's a business and life decision per the coach , guaranteed OU wouldn't think twice about firing his ass with not 1 oz of thinking I hope he is gonna be ok .... this is a 2 way street
My biggest complaint is he didnt finish the season with the team..left those boys to fend for themselves..(actually i think he quit coaching around the time of the Kansas game)
man shut your pie hole with that pansy no morals no integrity B.S....your Morals are your morals your integrity is your integrity thats it....in life its risky not taking a risk and Riley showed true grit by jumping at the opportunity... some times a great opportunity requires split second response or it vanishes just as quick as it came....Riley made the right choice and to a risk and he will be rewarded.
I'm not even thinking about LR. I think everything is working out perfectly now. If he hadn't left in his own, he would have been let go in a few years. He was stuck in OC mindset, and couldn't manage a game as a HC. Venables is the base of the best sauce to be cooking with going into the SEC. A new OC that actually calls plays, and hopefully sits in the booth above the field will get BV the offense going better than last year. And with Gavin Sawchuck, and Marcus Major at RB, and Caleb Williams growing as QB the offensive side if 5he ball will be good at those key positions. Maybe we can flip the 5 star OTackle that recommitted from Oregon and start building our line, and get back to being a run first team now. Venables has the defensive side taken care of so no worries there. LR is ancient history in my mind.
The more I start to see things from a detached perspective, the more I'm starting to think that maybe LR was given a chance to leave on his own terms bcz OU knew we needed a tougher approach heading into the SEC So the writing was on the wall. It explains why LR wasn't so invested this yr & looked like a deer in headlights while playing inferior competition. Js
His reason was that he is too Charmin Soft to coach in the SEC. Lincoln only beat one (1) Top 5 team in the five (5) years as a head coach. It won't be hard for a new coach to beat more than one (1) Top 5 team in his tenure. This offensive genius struggled with 4 teams this year with a combined win total of 12. Last but not least, he did not beat a single team this year with more than 7 wins.
First of all don't even think that Riley set us back 2 or more years we have Bob on the job and Brent and a good offensive coordinator coming in the sooner magic we will reap is coming this recruiting season sky is the limit and everyone is excited instead of being scared be brave and positive it will filter to all outlets for us gentlemen if you can't quit thinking negative then just shut up and watch Lincoln only screwed himself it's going to bite him big time go rattler!!!!!!
Difference between hiring one and letting him do his job without sticking your nose in it ,same with an OC ... he has much to prove to me but a good choice overall
@@codyrussow170 I want Venables sticking his nose in the defensive side. He, unlike Riley, can manage a game, manage a clock, call Time Outs at the right time, check personnel, etc.
@@MichaelJordan-vk4vt yeah if we get Brady I don’t see Caleb Williams going anywhere. I don’t know if he’d stay with Lebby tho. We can all hope either way😂
i’ll try to be brief- what, personally, did Lebby do to be associated with wrongdoing? if he wasn’t involved in a coverup, why is he associated at all?
I heard… sorry, it is what it is… that he is being judge because he was aware of the toxic situation and did not come forward. Complicit by complacency.
i agree! just because he worked there and for briles does not make him guilty. there is no evidence he did or knew anything about this or he probably wouldnt be at ole miss! so if they have evidence he knew what was happening then present it or keep you mouth shut!
I forgot where i heard it but i heard the biggest thing is, that he was an "art briles sumpathesizer" after the whole incident and also his married to art briles daughter,
Soooo can we all get a Gofund me going to get your partner a proper camera, mic and maybe even internet. I really enjoy you guys but it is soo hard to watch when your co host is horribly out of sync by minutes. You all talk about some great stuff, but I think you are seriously limiting your possibly reach and your channels growth. lots of people like a well done video. It does not have to be extravagant, but a simple better webcam such a a Logitech C920 which is the most basic webcam but 1080 will go a long way, and or an upgrade on internet will help out tremendously. Keep up the good work
@Cam. gotta reallly be in a remote area then lol. But I feel that. I live in a very small farming town of 500 people in the middle of BFE Oklahoma. Up until not all that long ago we still had dial up. But over a decade we slowly increased our internet. Granted not as fast as many places, but for out here its really nice. Especially for me as a content creator but I have 200 down and 50 up.
It's insulting to us that we are not worthy of the proper equipment EVERY other TH-cam channel has. He could look as pro as Mark for like $500. If he hasn't made that much doing this yet, then maybe move on to another career.
I’m sure he’ll hire a DC that fits his defensive philosophy. I am curious who it will be though. Gonna be interesting to see how he fills out his staff. I’m just happy that Joe C. didn’t go hire some Offensive HC that doesn’t believe in defense. I’m fairly excited for the future.
Disagree. Venables knows how a good defensive coordinator works so he’ll coach that coach when necessary while concentrating on being head coach himself. No doubt he learned a lot about offense, too, from 10 years at Clemson so I think he’s more well-rounded than I thought. Then he also learned how a good head coach works from 10 years with Dabo. This is just what I wanted to hear from him.
With Brent calling the shots, you will see them climb back to the top in a few years. I just hope he does not play Clemson. Cause he will not back down and woop the hell out of us.
OU is good top 4-5 team but USC is a top 2 brand name team providing he can get them back to where they used to be. He didn’t build OU at all, it was already built he inherited a great team so let’s see how he can do out there. I definitely like Venables better regardless.
Historically speaking with Notre dame of course in the last 100 years ha. Technically Yale is still on top for most championships just not in this century. All these teams have good times and seemingly droughts.
We'll be ok next year. Defense instantly gets better. Offense was bad last year so improving on that won't be difficult no matter the personnel. We had underachieved on the offensive side .That will improve this year.
Lebby is the offensive coordinator of Ole Miss which ranks 4th in total offense. Just for comparison, Lincoln Riley’s offense at OU ranked 28th this year.

10-2 is more of a reflection of the coaches then it is the players. The talent was there, the coaching was not.
I feel so bad for the seniors, they deserved coaches who were 100% in

Facts
The leadership failed the players.
you guys need to add Dan Mullen as OC he knows the SEC and is great at recruiting and developing QB's
I was actually GLAD that LR left bcz when we can't dominate against K St, Iowa St, & Baylor, on a consistent basis - that shows how soft he was.
