Hey y'all!! If you messaged me, emailed me, or reached out on Etsy over the weekend, I'm responding to all of those emails and messages now! Sorry I unplugged this last weekend so I'm a little late getting back with everyone. But that's happening right now. I can't wait to reconnect! 💗
I work in a municipal city offices. I have had a couple of cash handling classes throughout my 14 years with the City that I work for. As you are counting your $$, keep a small container of paperclips near you. Sort and count your money into stacks by bill type. Put a per clip on stacks of $25 ones, on stacks of $500 twenties. You can even click $5 and $10s in $100 stacks to help you not lose count of where you are at. I love your videos and you are doing great.
So crazy how much money you accumulate with cash envelopes! I would have never been able to save as much as I have and I’ve only been cash stuffing since august
Girl no worries i figured out the labels for the "green binder" i rodered from u n was able to add the personalization !! WOW girl u did a wonderful job !!! i love when people do percentages with their bills !! Girl look at u over 5K now !!
Ohh good I'm glad you figured it out! I'm feeling nervous about percentages because I've never done it this way but I think it's what I need to do now to keep me more motivated. And yes, I'm so excited and thankful for 5k! ❤️
I work as an accounts receivable and would recommend counting how many bills you have in each denomination. Write it on a note and then add it up. That may be easier to know how much you have. ☺️
Hi Jordan! I’m so glad you did this video bc I have to confess that I also had to unstuff my sinking fund binder last month 😭 it felt so uncomfortable bc I just wanted to keep it in there and watch it grow, but that’s what savings are for. It’s so much better than swiping a card, so you’re still doing amazing!! Thank you for continuing to share your journey with us , we love you! 💕
This is one of the greatest, most realistic and chaotic videos I’ve watched and I feel SEEN! I’m a mess with my counting with it all over the place. This video gave me LIFE.
Haha thank you Sarah!! This is one of those real REAL videos. Hahaha. OH I think you messaged me on Etsy.. if that was you, I'm checking those tonight! ❤️
Hi there! I’m so glad you did this! I feel like sometimes we just need to start all over to make sure we are aligned with our goals and on the right track. Can’t wait for part two! ☺️❤️🌸
yes, Jordan! Sooo much yes in this video. Appreciate the rawness of it all. Don’t ever feel as though you have to apologize for taking time for yourself and your sons. Self care before all else. Without that, there will be no rejuvenated Jordan to run a youtube channel nor an etsy shop. So kuddos to you for that. Super excited for part two - can’t wait! 💜
I am constantly re-thinking my categories and envelopes. When I write out my spending, some of my expenses don’t always mesh up with the envelopes and I want it to be nice and neat! Lol
So satisfying to watched you unstuffing all those money. Lately I changed my mind that I will put $5 notes aside whenever I get changed from buying things(and try not to spend it lol). On the end of the month or during my off day, I will do a bill exchange to $10/$50 note from the $5 note I kept for one month.
I don't have a side job at the moment. I take care of my disabled daughter full-time and also have two older children ages 11 & 14. We are in a position that is complicated, but ain't that life lol. I feel like the whole nation is going through it. Your videos are wonderful though and have the potential to help so many people...especially since you are so down to earth. Peace and good tidings from Missouri and Good Luck in the New Year!
Hi Jordan. I’m new to your channel and love it. Love how you’re very real and relatable. Glad you took some time for yourself…we all need that, especially when working and having young kids. I have 5 kids, all grown ages 21-38 but I remember well needing some “me” time…which was a long bubble bath at the end of the day after my husband got home from work. I plan to start the envelope system starting January 1st so I’m trying to learn all I can. Thanks again for your channel.❤️
I loved this video !! I think this was a great idea and something I definitely plan to do. My budget and priorities are always changing so I love moving my money around to meet my needs. Thanks for sharing 🤍✨💸
Hi Jordan! I’m still trying to find time to have an off day 😅 I could definitely use one of those! Loved this video! Look at all that money! 🤑 You don’t realize how much is actually saved when it’s all split in the envelopes. That’s amazing! Looking forward to the reorganization of the binders in your next video! ☺️
Love all your videos Jordan! They are so very helpful! Can’t wait for the part 2 of the restuffing binders! Thank you for sharing with us! I do have questions regarding your planner that you are launching in January. Can you give us any sneak peeks or info? I’m so excited to see it but also so picky about my planners - lol. I am so ready to go ahead and get new one for next year but I am holding out because I just know yours will be awesome and I don’t want to miss out. Just very impatient! Thank you again for sharing your time, your ideas and your life with others to help us on out journeys!
I cannot wait to order from your shop. Soon! Great job saving all that money I hope to get there one day too. You are definitely inspiring me more than you know. 😃👊💰💲💪💯💓
Congrats again on the 5k! You are doing amazing! I think about all the money in my binders that would have been spent on who knows what! This journey has helped me save so much! Amazing job Jordan!!😊💚
Lol 😂 I can’t count on camera either! Thought it was just me. I always do a quick rehearsal and count fine. As soon as the camera comes on….I’m like huh?!? 😂🤪
Quick question... I love the stickers and budgets slips you have in your binders in this video.(tie dye looking ones) When you order them how many different categories are there? Example gas, food, rent etc. Thank you 😊
This video is so exciting! I wanted to tell you that you double stuffed winter vacation and you have an extra $5 in there! And the Sephora sale ends today if you wanted extra makeup! ❤️
Hey Jordan. 4 months? Serously! Girl, you have this figured out. Safe trip to Nashville. Avoid traffic on 24 during rush hour or you'll be sitting. If you're going downtown, parking is costly. Looking for to more of your videos.
I think you budget on the bare minimum of what you think your income will be for the month, and then use the excess (presumably for the extra you may make from TH-cam) you didnt account for from TH-cam for your sinking funds. You prioritize your emergency fund, your bills/business & debt and then worry about your sinking funds. After your ER fund, bills/business & debt payments, If you dont have enough for your sinking funds, then you cut back on the whatever you can in your bills category like cutting out subscriptions, lowering your grocery bill, sell something, lower your phone bill, cut cable etc.
You should get the set of fireproof bags from Amazon for your money planners to protect them in an emergency and hide them in a safe spot in your home including very important papers and it will all be together to grab quickly
Hey Jordan! Look at all that money you saved in a short amount of time! Isn't it awesome what we can achieve when we focus on our money goals! Great job!
20%?! Man...literally about 60% of our income covers bills. We're blessed to not even have car payments, loans or credit cards to pay off. That's the struggle of living paycheck-to-paycheck and why it's SO hard to build any kind of savings. Also why I'm determined to make cash budgeting work. Have got to find it somehow.
Every time you use plastic credit, the bank always charges you tax and takes it off your card as interest for using the building’s vendor machine. That is called interest, which is very sneaky. Sharen
Hey, you are doing a great job, can't wait for part II 🙂 You mentioned taxes coming up, there is a YT-er (Life in Envelopes) who is also homeschooling her son and she mentioned in one of her videos she could do tax-credit on materials she buys for her son. I don't know how it is in your state but she lives in IA. Keep up the good work, stay 💪
I enjoyed watching you unstuff your binders I understand the need to not only know what you have but needed to redress where it goes I look forward to watching what you do with it my weekend was spent in doors with the kids and grandkids as we were on a lock down do to 2 escaped convicts who was armed and dangerous with was definitely a scary weekend they even closed the school down today do to them not having been caught until late last night and since we live in the country there was lots of places for them to hide I’m so thankful they were caught and no one was harmed have a great week and take care
Love it I’m a crazy saver as well I like to use cash for everything I can so I can save the change but if I have 32.00 I’ll take the 2.00 an fold it up an put in change jar until I have $100. Then I consolidate it I also keep my Pennie’s separate
Sorry 😢 hit my finger to the send. I was typing many BLESSINGS for you and your two boys. I’m very happy 😃 for you loved 🥰 your video and love ❤️ watching you stuff and unstuffing your savings.
So would you have to pull the money every month for bills and sinking funds? Plus for the savings challenge would you have to pull that money out at the end of the year? I’m still learning this process and far it’s helping me not spending all of my money and I gave my cash a job and my husband and I are saving for a house in the future.
Can u pls tell me so u put a certain amount each mounth and you keep putting money in it n if its not used at the end you count all the xtra money left in all the envelopes bcaus im confused how u save
How often do you stuff your envelopes? Weekly, bi-weekly, monthly? I get paid bi-weekly so I am trying to wrap my brain around how to start with that schedule.
My money comes in very randomly right now but I pull money from the bank once a week and stuff envelopes with that money. If you are paid bi-weekly I would stuff money bi-weekly to keep things easy. 💙
Total your past 12 months spending by category. Divide each category by the number of pay periods/year. That is the amount that you must stuff each pay period.

We all need some off time 🙌🏻 I was super lazy this weekend and it felt awesome.
It’s so satisfying seeing how much money was saved.

Great tip

I did the $5 last year and saved $1100 in a year! Doing it again this year and anxious to see what I accumulate. I count it up on New Years Eve.
Some things we plan can be revised to do what we need get done!! You are a real life player! God bless and continued giving you wisdom and strength!!

You are such an inspiration. I hope to be in this position one day! I am just starting my journey and it has been a game changer so far.
I think it’s great that you take the weekend to yourself it’s always great to have some me time.

Wow girl!! Congrats on saving that much!! Much I wish I could meet up with you in Nashville this weekend!!
Thanks for sharing! It might help to count the number of the denomination and then multiply by it’s value (I.e 40 (ten dollars) bills x 10 = 400).
🥵 she def did it the hard way.

Congrats on 5k! That's amazing! I also have to do stacks of 100 sometimes.... counting is hard lol especially when you throw in random 50s
Quick question... I love the stickers and budgets slips you have in your binders in this video.(tie dye looking ones) When you order them how many different categories are there? Example gas, food, rent etc. Thank you 😊

I've seen other budget babes and when it comes to this subject they use a calculator to make sure and not loose track

So satisfying to watch!!💗
A "Diversion Safe" is good for hoarding cash or other valuable items. Some look like a real book, can of food, shave cream, etc.
Where did you get the dividers inside each envelope? I like that idea.
Yes can't wait for your next video
New sub. So glad I found you because you are so real and funny. I like the percentages idea.

OMG- amazing! I can’t wait to do this with mine at the end of the year!
Can’t wait to see the re-stuffing 😊!!

Amazing!! I am going to start cash budgeting again very very soon!
You’re doing a great job💜

You counted $235.00 in fives but I believe you said $135.00. Didn’t know if you caught that. That is amazing that you saved that much! Keep it mama!!
Amazing job Jordan! Love seeing that stack of cash 😍 woo!
I live paycheck to paycheck and can't get this started. Help?
I have a question. If all that money has been sitting in your envelopes. Wouldn’t it be better to stay in the bank to grow some interest?
Way to go! You’ve done so great with saving! 😁
Excited for your next video. 😀
I a new subscriber, you saved a lot in a short amount of time.

Hi Wow thats all I can say is wow! That was a lot of one Great unstuffing! That was a lot of money God bless
Can you please walk us through your whole % division amongst everything that you allocate your money to?
Sorry 😢 hit my finger to the send. I was typing many BLESSINGS for you and your two boys. I’m very happy 😃 for you loved 🥰 your video and love ❤️ watching you stuff and unstuffing your savings.
Girl I can’t math either…. Great unstuffing!!
I’m still wondering why you stuffed all that cash and never used it for it’s intended purpose.
So would you have to pull the money every month for bills and sinking funds? Plus for the savings challenge would you have to pull that money out at the end of the year? I’m still learning this process and far it’s helping me not spending all of my money and I gave my cash a job and my husband and I are saving for a house in the future.
Wow! I just started my envelope this week. I hope to save money for a little farm so I can be self sufficient.

Hi, may I knew whether the binder is A5 or A6? Thank you.
How often do you stuff your envelopes? Weekly, bi-weekly, monthly? I get paid bi-weekly so I am trying to wrap my brain around how to start with that schedule.

I need to order more envelopes 🥰. I just gotta put the money in the bank to cover it.
That is such a savings total I have to do the same thing un stuff the binder that I have and set up all my categories
I can’t count either… it’s so bad, my mom teases me about it all the time 😆 thanks for keeping me company while I did my nails 💜💜
You are so welcome Yureli, happy to! 🥰
Hey do you know michael jordan and kobe brayant and stephen currison?
