    Its crazy to admit but I have NEVER lived on a budget and finally realized (while watching your video) why when I get out of debt, I get right back into debt! so simple! Thank you!

      Frugal minimalism is the new movement for us. I am over 40 years of age and refuse to blow money on stuff I don't need.

    This is great because it’s simple so people will stick to it. And not everyone can afford to buy stickers every month.

    This is exactly how I budget so I’m so glad to see that this way is common . I’ve been watching some other budget videos out of curiosity and automatically 2mins in , I instantly get overwhelmed lol . Some people honestly do WAYYYY to much .. I get the fancy stickers and colors but whewww .. it’s exhausting to even watch . But I get it , some people have more bills than others . Since I’m very minimal and don’t have any consumer / credit card debt this simple way works for me . Thanks for sharing !

    Awesomeness! I've avoided making a budget due to the complexity of em and honestly being forced to face the truth of my spending habits. Numbers don't lie but I do ofttimes telling myself I have more money to splurge than I actually do. Thank you for sharing this simple yet very powerful Budget tutorial that even a Fraidy Cat like me can face, grasp, and apply. Btw, you have a calming, nice speaking voice and very pretty hands.👍🏽🙂

    I have watched this vid multiple times and have shown it to my friends. Really clear and to the point. I wish I had this when I rented for the first time as an 18 year old and wondered why we got kicked out for not being on top of bills lol. Back then I did not know what budgeting was.

    Budgeting always seemed very complicated to me. I asked my husband to sit down & help me make a budget, but he said he didn’t want to live on a budget. Now that we’re not living together, it’s essential for me to make a budget and stick to it! I finally have the freedom to make a budget. (Sounds,weird, I know, but I’m pretty stoked about it!)

    Thank you I started budgeting at the end of 2019 and found that I had notebooks laying around I wasn't using and put them to use I feel that as long as you're keeping track of what you spend and save is simple enough for me even though the stickers look cute this is a awesome way to do it without making it difficult. God bless you and your family

    My mother always does this when it comes to financial literacy. She used to show me how she writes down her budget just like in the video, so I'ma try to do the same because I need help with saving money and manage money at the same time, and speaking of saving money, do you have a video of tips of saving money? I would like to watch and learn how to save money because I am eating all of my money up, which is not good at all, and it's getting old, and I want to do better with my money financially.

    Great vid and to the point!!!! Only thing I would add is always pay yourself first. Savings should be #1 on the list no matter what. Have a plan for your savings it does no good just sitting in the bank. 6-12 months worth of savings in case of an emergency. Once 6-12 months is saved, leave it alone. Now instead of saving money out of paychecks save now to invest in knowledge (courses, books, school) that can bring in more income, saving to buy real estate etc.

    Happy Tuesday Shay!.... so I have a question... once this is all established, how do you go about breaking check down to where it matches this budget. I think that’s where I always get stuck....

    • @ShayBudgets
      @ShayBudgets  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      OK so I like to divide up our bills and expenses so the same amounts are coming out of each paycheck. As an example, rent comes out of our first paycheck or at the beginning of the month so I have our student loan payments & some of our other bills coming out the second paycheck or around the third week of the month. I did this by calling some of the companies and asking if I could move my due dates which is typically free of charge. I just find it easier that the same amount of bills and expenses are coming out of each paycheck. Does that make sense? I think I have a video about this in fact

    • @journeywithlateria
      @journeywithlateria 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Shay Budgets I think calling to change a few dates will help my bills line up with my checks. I’m going to do that and also I saw that you have some paycheck to paycheck budgets as well! I’m determined to get this down lol 💪🏾
