Not to brag, but I saw her open with this at the Blue Note in NYC the day the CD was released. Sitting at a table right next to the stage, hearing this played for the 1st time before an audience is one of the most memorable musical experiences of my life.
I caught Pat metheny group trying out a new number while awaiting for the concert. Oh, it happened to be a perfect day at Red rocks in Colorado. So cool.
Funny and happy we seem to share the same space.. I started to call Hiromi like Picasso of music - although I am only 4 weeks old (with about 100 songs I have listened - in my playlist) since i found Hiromi, I feel a big dream of Hiromi - even with orchestra sometime?!
I swear, every concert version sounds SOOOOO MUCH BETTER and more complex, nuanced, and beautiful than the album versions!!!! The album ones are cut shorter and so watered-down.....I NEED TO SEE A HIROMI CONCERT IRL SOON 😤😤😤😤😤😤
Yes, Live is alwaays better and Live DVD than CD versions - she signet me some ,see her 8 times live and it's not enaught -at most with the Trio Projekt
"Remember, hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things, and no good thing ever dies." "I find I'm so excited, I can barely sit still or hold a thought in my head. I think it's the excitement only a free man can feel, a free man at the start of a long journey whose conclusion is uncertain. I hope I can make it across the border. I hope to see my friend and shke his hand. I hope the Pacific is as blue as it has been in my dreams. I hope."
@Daniel Che Shawshank Redemption. If you haven't seen it, see it. It reveals the discoveries of neurobiology and attachment theory of the last 30 years, the hope and life that comes through healthy attachment with others. My favorite movie.
I thought they never performed this live. Thank you very much. I love d new trio. But there’s something about Hiromi’s Sonicbloom that just touches me deeply!
Wonderful piece. I do like the dry sound - seems there´s almost no reverb. That makes the music touching me closely, very personal, very direct. You could hear each tiny mistake - if there was any. But it´s played perfectly.
I wonder why everyone is complaining about the audio quality, or that the bass and drums are too prominent??? Maybe y'all are using some sort of equalizers, or you have different tastes? Because I actually think the album versions of these songs are WAY too dull, and I hardly notice the other instruments! These concert versions are MUCH better.

I'm tremendously jealous, so lucky!

😂😂😂 you have already bragged😂😂😂
I'm a simple man. I see Hiromi, I click. I know I'm about to have a pleasant moment.
So true
She s pleasant and so talentuous also ! Just a miracle ! 😅
Simple with heart is way better than complex with too much brain - LOL
Exquisite , what a beautiful way to forget about everything and just let your mind drift off to a place where nothing can harm you . Float away .

Every time Hiromi plays is a declaration of love to the music
A very enthusiastic one too. 😂😁

Beauty. That's her divine gift.
I saw many many concerts off jazz since more 40 years ago but never like Hiromi ! So stunning !
A demonstration in how to float off to that secret place we all have in our heads .

Amazing!!!
Perfeito.
I've been playing the piano for 36 years now- since I was 4,5 years old but fuck me!
Thank you for sharing
such an exquisite solo
It is not someone except the genius anymore to pay out such a splendid chord progression in sequence!
Love it!!

Has anyone ever had a better touch on the piano? Hank Jones, maybe.
That drum feature at 6:10 is hot stuff.
I can hear that bill evans there ...

Wow! When was this recorded?

Sublime, even subliminal! Pity the audio level is on the low side.
