The fact that nobody has broken Gale Dogra yet is insane to me. That card rings every single alarm bell in existence, yet it's at 3 and half the player base don't know it even exists.

@@doughbag2951it’s just not searchable enough outside of spright which 2-locks you and stops the more degen things you could normally do. It’s either used for a 5-card combo ftk or, like, send Akpallone search Schism + Garura draw 1 at the cost of 6k lp. Beasts are just waaaay more searchable and there’s more mileage out of infinite xyz material.

The party was trying to get the machines for a casino they’re trying to make. Gambling Gary charges 500 gp per machine, but if you win a coin flip he’ll cut the price in half lose the flip he charges double. One of my players precede to out of 8 coin flips he lost 6
i guess they didn't wanna give them the end turn draws? maybe they thought they could win after putting the other player under Maxx C? it was absolutely a misplay tho, regardless of reason

While Xyz materials are not be considered on the field, becoming an Xyz material does not trigger “leaves the field” effects. While this is obviously not intentional for Chain Dog as that card is pre xyz, it is intentional for other cards later as plenty of Xyz focused archetypes like Phantom Knight or Paleozoic will use this mechanic deliberately. Basically you can use their monsters for other things, and they would be gone, but if you use them to make their Xyz bosses then you can keep using them.
If we ever get a competent rank 4 beast archetype that doesn't lock you into only beast types, chain dog will be banned
