Stockholm is the capital of Sweden. It has the most populous urban area in Sweden as well as in Scandinavia. 1 million people live in the municipality, approximately 1.6 million in the urban area, and 2.4 million in the metropolitan area. The city stretches across fourteen islands where Lake Mälaren flows into the Baltic Sea. Outside the city to the east, and along the coast, is the island chain of the Stockholm archipelago. The area has been settled since the Stone Age, in the 6th millennium BC, and was founded as a city in 1252 by Swedish statesman Birger Jarl. It is also the county seat of Stockholm County.

Hi Daniel. I plan to visit Sweden in early July. Could you recommend a hotel for 2 days. I plan to arrive in Goteborg from Singapore and travel by train to Stockholm for 2 days.

Very nice, som vanligt, but a little research before you set off will lower the waffle content. I find these little videos exceptionally helpful to get me to sleep so keep up the good work chaps
Parking the bus... sounds like Sweden's national footbal team's tactics, known here as building a wall. It does seem to work though. Against Poles that is. Speaking of, audio sounds screamy, but clear. You should get your mic further away, Daniel. Here, we can recycle glass bottles and get a discount when you exchange it for a full bottle. Bottles you bring for just the money without buying equal amount of drinks, needs a receipt for money. Also, this pier has some surprisingly tall buildings for Stockholm standards. I'd say this walk was half an hour of my life spent quite well. Tack Daniel och Olov!

We are working on a refund system in the UK but as often the case UK is behind on this and there is loads of rubbish around.
Why do I never see skateboarders on the streets of Stockholm? Is skateboarding Illegal outside skateparks?
It's just not very popular, I think due to the climate. But I'm not sure
@@letswalkaroundstockholm Malmo government intentionally makes new public spaces that are skateboardable. Check it out.
