I had painted on a burlap coffee sack twice. One of them I used Heat & bond (used for ironing one fabric piece to another). I cut out the shape I wanted, traced a design on one side, ironed it on, then proceeded to paint on the remailing side. Came out fabulous, & had the look of a glossy magazine page on top of the heat & bond

Yes - it is so loose - it doesn’t help much. Paint just goes through all the holes 😂
