The transfer of confidence throughout this clip is truly impactful. Watched with my Son for our morning training meeting and it sparked an hour of engaging conversation, brainstorming and a deeper understanding of where I need to be as a man and leader. Thanks Andy.
Hey Andy today i had my interview at a car dealership, after year’s working at a place with no future and i did everything that I learned from your videos, the manager told me that i have a great attitude and communication other than that i am so grateful and ready to go to work like i never did in my life, The sky is the limit
I had bad experience with selling contract phones on some call center last year. Andy made my more hungry and more informed about sales I'm going back to sales. Andy you're the best❤
I just moved up to safety advisor” sales manager” for electrical..just wanted to say..THANK YOU!..watching your vids have put an impact to motivate me to never try to get a “NO”..
Andy, you are truly a beast. I love the content looking forward to working with you one day, and I can certainly see that the training is a blast we'll done sir ! ❤
To complement this, having a strong lead generation system is key. This ensures you're reaching out to the right people, making each call count, It's about matching great calling techniques with a solid lead base.
I would say no the second person asked me if they could have 30 seconds of my time. If they somehow got past that, I’d straight up hang up the second they started getting pushy about coming today. Also the straight jacket line makes this feel like a scam. You should avoid hyperbolic speech in sales. A) it’s cheesy and B) makes the entire thing feel inauthentic and too good to be true
The only way to sell is to create a “too good to be true scenario” that eventually comes closer to reality as the sale progresses. If you’re the type of costumer that prides himself on saying no just because, then you’re not the costumer they’re looking to serve, period.
First of all, the straitjacket line is a joke that is meant to make that part of the conversation funny. The girl is still learning. That is why that part came off cold and hard. But when she masters the tonality, she will be able to say it when a laugh that is going to make the client know that she is just joking about the straitjacket. Plus, this worked because she set the frame of time within which the conversation is supposed to take place when she asked for 30 seconds at the beginning of the call. So the call is not supposed to last long. Everything had to be said at a fast pace. Secondly, you have to also notice that what you see here is supposed to help you get a fair idea of how to do it. How you implement it is yours and yours only to decide. Clearly, you would be wise not to use it on everyone. It works with people who like things quick. Those who like to slow things down and really get to the heart of what you are saying require a different technique. But the fact that she still executed it and was able to get an appointment her first time trying is something worth applauding.
As a car buyer I’ve had this technique used on me and when I got to the dealership they basically lowballed the shit out of my car … I’ll never go back there to buy another car. So on the dealer end you better put on real pants and do what you promised the potential customer.
or they may give you "more than the car is worth" and make it up on the new vehicle purchase by charging msrp or above that's why you need out the door numbers
Obviously the dealer doesnt make money overpaying for things. This bait n' switch tactic is meant to trick you into thinking you should trade your car in and restart your loan all over on a newer car with a similar or slightly bigger payment with the value of a new car warranty protecting you from future hassle with your current used car. It never makes financial sense however there are a lot of impulsive buyers who will jump at the opportunity to get a new car so it's really designed to target them. When a buyer questions the legitimacy of 'overpaying' for their used car the salesman will say something like "we NEED cars like yours to fill our missing inventory so customers will shop with us" which obviously makes zero sense because whats the point in having inventory for sale if it's costing them money instead of making them money in the process.
I was honestly surprised he still came in since it not only sounded like she was reading a script, but I guess the words she used were more important. After three our four calls though, she'll be a pro.
Heres the sauce guys... coming form a top salesman from multiple different retail stores and banks. You have to be and sound GENUINELY enthusiastic and slightly pushy as a salesperson. No matter what youre selling. You dont even necessarily have to know anything about the product or person.
well you have to know at least a few things otherwise the customer will think you're an idiot and want to speak to someone who knows what theyre talking about. If I ask you 5 questions and you tell me 5 times "i dont know but I'll find out" I'll just lose all confidence in you.
Wow!! Dealerships will do just about anything to get someone to come in. Since when do dealerships pay more then a car is worth, if they do they just add to purchase price. I always get a good laugh listening to all the BS games you guys play. Love the videos Andy! Keep em coming I need a good laugh 😂 😂😂
It happens in the automotive industry. It's just doesn't happen too often but when I was selling cars we would have a high demand for certain used cars that we didn't have in our inventory. Therefore, we had to find which previous customers had those used cars that were in high demand. Of course the negative equity is going to roll over to the loan of the new vehicle, but if the overall cost benefits is better than what the customer has with the trade-in such as warranty, mileage, vehicle maintenance, features, etc. Then, it all makes sense

I learned alot from this but for me, IF I were on the other end of that call, Once she said, "He is getting so crazy, we're about to put him in a straight-jacket." is where I would've said no thank you and hung up. I HATE stupid statements like that. For me, I would be more willing to have come in with the, "The market is changing and we're offering over NADA for your trade in, I would love to get you in a new car or truck with a fresh waranty." Or something along those lines. I am not saying this doesn't work or is a bad idea. Just stating that listening to it from the outside and having received those calls before is why I would respond differently. What I am curious about is if this method is tranferable to other sales industries and / or can you modify the delivery / punch line and still be successful?
Haha. Mercedes has tried to buy back my custom built Mercedes SUV about 70 times now with letters. After first few calls told them to stop. Stuff on the lot back in 2018 new was about 86k but only had 10% of features I wanted. Had custom built all I wanted for 100k. New cars post corona most are trash now just like the houses. My service advisor who I trust said my GLS series they no longer have racing engine in there with air suspension they have cheap spring shocks and clunky transmission and drive like sh&t. Mine accelerates like butter and rides like a cloud. New Mercedes is egg shape where you hit your head on the roof and they call it sporty or some other nonsense to save production costs. It has little more tech than mine but everything else styling, room, parts mine is superior. My service guy said to equal what I have now would have to buy the Mercedes Maybach SUV for 200k plus. Will just keep what I have. People that own nice cars that make six to seven figures a year don't give a sh*t about trading in their vehicle to get more than 10k what it's worth. Their time is worth thousands per hour. Now someone who bought for 50k a car that makes say 75k a year income and now can get 10k more they might have interest in it. So you have to know your customer. People with money make the rules. Anytime someone wants my business they do it on my terms or I go elsewhere. When you are highly successful you have leverage. When you are in the masses you become a pawn to businesses and a statistic.
You would say that because you have not spoken directly to the guy. In his other videos, he mentions tonality. And you are forgetting the context. here. The person they called was someone who already had an existing relationship with the company. Getting a call like that will not go the way YOU are thinking it would go in your head within a context like that.
Be confident, practice with people, make them pretend to be a customer. It lets you relax while learning how different people will object and with less stress you’ll be a little more quick on your feet. It will be easier to be creative, when you think “damn, that was good” REMEMBER THAT SHIT! It’s impossible to learn in one week or month. Learn your product, build value, learn to close after time. If you can get appointments and bring people in you’re managers are going to help you learn. Believe it or not, the managers are there to sell cars too! They get paid on that shit. So if you can show them that you’re willing to get people there and put in work they’ll start teaching you more. We had one guy quit after 7 hours! They see so many salesman before and after you they can’t waste time on people who aren’t made for this. My last piece of advice, if you are working a deal and you don’t really know what to do, listen to what the managers say. Whether you can explain it or not just follow them. They understand the moving pieces better, trust that they know what they are doing. Stay hungry big dawg.
I've been doing property sales and retail sales for more than a decade and I say this kind of approach is annoying. I would be pissed if someone tries to square me up into buying. I'll buy when I want to buy.
Seriously, you need to understand us guys who are buying cars for our families and ourselves are not stupid. You want more sales and your numbers to rise? As a car buyer, I want you to be honest with me, tell me what your plan is, tell me how much commission you get from my buy, don’t beat around the bush, just be straightforward with me. To me, that goes way further than trying to aggressively get me to come into your dealership. If you have to make up some ridiculous illustration to get me to come in to your dealership, I already know you are desperate for sales and I will not even want to do business with you. I’m not that desperate for money. You need to understand, I’m not here for you, you’re here for me. Period. Be humble, be kind, and most importantly be HONEST and TRANSPARENT! God bless.
Imagine this: "Hi, this is John Doe from AT&T. My manager wanted me to ask you if you still had that Samsung Galaxy you bought. If my manager was willing to give you MORE MONEY for that phone than it's worth, would that be worth your time?" If that sounds cringe and makes your customer sound like an idiot, it's because it is and it does. Opening with a lie is terrible coaching.
@@Adpv.860 First off, I love Andy, so let's clarify that! Second, it's the principle. In fact, that used phone may hold its value more than most used cars, which are depreciating machines, thus making them a liability if you are not using them to make money anyways. But to my point, everyone who is either in the industry or who understands markets from a broader perspective WILL know that this is just a tactic and although you COULD end up getting a good deal, most times, unless you're actively in the market for a new vehicle, you are not. In the Automotive Industry, the one doing the "winning" in the deal is usually NOT the customer. And not even the dealerships, but the banks...JS I love you all! Have a powerful day!
@@mikebrown4433 Yea, kind of like if you are asked how much experience you have in XYZ industry. Instead of answering 8 years, it sounds more grand to say "Close to a Decade of experience in XYZ."
Well there’s always gonna be an objection when someone is coming in and it wasn’t truly their desire to move on from their vehicle. If you’re a car salesman your job is to give them every reason TO NOT LEAVE WITHOUT A NEW CAR TODAY!
@@RetroFutureHD He is primairly using psychololgy hacks to manipaulte people rather than help them. Its productive advice for selliing certain products to certain customers.
It's so obvious that she's reading a script. Customers don't want that. We'd prefer a genuine conversation. He's probably agreeing just to shut you up so he can get on with his day. But did he show up and was a deal made?
Now the guy comes in with an unrealistic impression of how much his Jeep is worth (just like what he said happened to him last year). When he gets the low number, he will be pissed that he wasted him time, yet again, that was based all on lies.
Did you even watch the video?? He’s obviously interested in trading up to something different or a newer model. If the salesman does his job the guy will walk out with a new vehicle. If the guy wasn’t interested he would have said NO.
More money than the car is worth?? LMAO. That's rich bro. More like, "I'll raise the MSRP, add some points to the back end or include mandatory dealer add-ons", over allowing on trade in value happens but not often, at least not without approval from higher ups
Roid rage is effective lol. My hat is off to Mr. Elliott because he built a 9 figure empire and i didnt, by selling hot air in a can. Ive done sales across numerous industries. Good sales come when you have a good product. The secret is, good products SELL THEMSELVES. A salesman is just a liaison representing the company and assists with paperwork.
He has great confidence, and a lot of good information, but he's been saying this line a lot lately and there is NO dealership that is going to pay more for what a car is worth, ESPECIALLY not 5X more, it's a total bait and switch. I'm all for marketing and selling and even exaggerating a bit at times, but there is no way I come in with a car worth $35K and they offer me $75K for it, or even $40K. I would NEVER give my keys when "coming down for 2 minutes" Just tell me what the offer is. For that matter, I wouldn't come down at all without a basic offer. I'm certainly not going to look at other cars on the lot without knowing what my offer is.
And then the customers only come to the outlet just to find out the dealership taking off money under their feet by offering 50% to 60% of the original value. Common man, sales, customer experience & trust go hand in hand. Let’s not promote idiotic sales tactics by saying 100k to 500k etc.. While I appreciate your training but not the way it’s done in this video.
What the car is worth is NOT the original value. They are two totally different things. The original value depreciates the moment the new vehicle is driven off the lot.
Great confidence under pressure in front of a group. Respect.

That sales manager rn 🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑
Did you film this one in Michigan?
what I've learned the most is that I need to increase my cocaine consumption.
If I ever got a call like that I would never buy anything from them again nor would I allow anybody I know to ever buy from them .
F***** INSANE!!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥
Honestly, as a customer... im no sales person i dont work in sales, however, as a sale person i would not buy a car from someone that pushy
You would say that because you have not spoken directly to the guy. In his other videos, he mentions tonality. And you are forgetting the context. here. The person they called was someone who already had an existing relationship with the company. Getting a call like that will not go the way YOU are thinking it would go in your head within a context like that.
I am struggling to get my first close as I am a week into the job what do I need to do in order to close?
I’ve walked on this exact salespitch
You're such a badass!
Most sane people have. This bull shit only works on someone with the absolute intent to buy to begin with. It will make most people walk
How do we know they didn't just talk to member of the group in another room? 🤔
I've been doing property sales and retail sales for more than a decade and I say this kind of approach is annoying. I would be pissed if someone tries to square me up into buying. I'll buy when I want to buy.
If you knock at bros door for D2D sale, he had take your sales test before you take his 😂
I'm ready to sell something now. Damn
I get some wolf of wallstreet vibes

That was epic!
Thanks God we got Teslaa way of buying cars now.
Even if you have a briefcase full of cash you can’t get in and out of a dealership in “2minutes”
So they have a School for Pushy Salespeople. Sort of a Boiler Room.
This sounds so cheesy first of all car dealers never overpay for trades. They severely underpay know that going in.
🥂
Most important skill
God bless.
Straight up.
Imagine this: "Hi, this is John Doe from AT&T. My manager wanted me to ask you if you still had that Samsung Galaxy you bought. If my manager was willing to give you MORE MONEY for that phone than it's worth, would that be worth your time?"
If that sounds cringe and makes your customer sound like an idiot, it's because it is and it does. Opening with a lie is terrible coaching.
Well he’s talking about cars not phones, why would he go with the same line for a different product
@@Adpv.860
First off, I love Andy, so let's clarify that!
And not even the dealerships, but the banks...JS
I love you all! Have a powerful day!
Why say grand and not K?
More gravitas
personal preference, i'm sure he's tested it many times and its just the better psychological approach.
@@Rashean_Graham gravitas ?
@@mikebrown4433 Yea, kind of like if you are asked how much experience you have in XYZ industry. Instead of answering 8 years, it sounds more grand to say "Close to a Decade of experience in XYZ."
No way that dude shows up the next day. He was so annoyed
“Framing customers so they can’t say no” = manipulation.
Yes. That’s how you make money cry baby
Cry about it

*so what, this means nothing: when the pigeon comes in and figures out the fake 'deal', he'll go home.. this is not a big deal by any means*
What's a fake deal?
It’s not a fake deal. It’s a trap to get you to come in but it works 80% of the time 😂
@@garciaosvi1990 are 80% of buyers morons? yeah seems about right..
Well there’s always gonna be an objection when someone is coming in and it wasn’t truly their desire to move on from their vehicle. If you’re a car salesman your job is to give them every reason TO NOT LEAVE WITHOUT A NEW CAR TODAY!
@@Marshallthe2nd actually the job should be to HELP THEM FIND THE CAR THEY WANT at a price they are willing to pay, not harass them until they give up

Whenever a salesman gets pushy I walk.

Me to, I don't play the game
Keep that shit pushing then , come correct or don't come at all. Plus why are you watching these videos to begin with 😂😂😂
@@RetroFutureHD He is primairly using psychololgy hacks to manipaulte people rather than help them. Its productive advice for selliing certain products to certain customers.
@@marcusd9192people need to be manipulated. Im offering a good service at a good price only an idiot would turn down.
More like, "I'll raise the MSRP, add some points to the back end or include mandatory dealer add-ons", over allowing on trade in value happens but not often, at least not without approval from higher ups
all that work then doesn’t show up lmao
So did he show up at 330? That's what I need to know
Roid rage is effective lol.
The guy won't even come in tomorrow
He said, "I told you," but that was A LOT of on your feet thinking, training, and skill and extra techniques he didn't teach her in this video.
True but I think it's probably a good way to train people. There was a lot of lessons to learn here.
