    I’m running just a Garmin Ultra 12” screen - 58W max & a livescope blackbox - 39.6W max, I’m looking at the AMPd batteries & having trouble deciding what size I want. I DO KNOW I want a LiFePo4 but don’t know what size AH to get.. any help would be nice. Thanks in advance! 🤘🏼

      Hello, the 30Ah would give you about 8 hours of operation. Most people are runnig a 60AH, which right now we have some great summer savings on! That is a 16+ hour battery.

    Do these batteries have cold temperature protection? I fish all winter and that can include freezing temps. The boat is stored in an unheated garage and on the charger every minute I am not fishing.

    Advice on which battery to run 93sv, 73sv, 73cv and livescope. Was thinking 48ah for all, but I don't know how long that would run everything. I wouldn't be too far off price range to put 2 30ah together for 60ah if that would be much better? Thanks for anyone's help

    If you're only charging to 90% of capacity, and only discharging down to 90% depth of discharge, the lithium-iron phosphate battery is the hands-down winner. Within those ranges, LiFePO4 delivers optimal voltage for 12v devices. That helps ensure the longest possible battery life and negates much of the greater amp-hour capacity of the Li-Ion battery chemistry. Also, LiFePO4 is a safer chemistry that is far less likely to overheat or combust. For any use case that involves a lot of vibration, presuming both batteries are built correctly, the LiFePO4 battery is going to be less prone to problems. It's heavier per amp-hour, so the only place where Li-Ion wins out is when weight is the primary consideration. If a few pounds doesn't matter, in your application, lithium-iron phosphate is the way to go.

    Apologies but this video is very confusing. In this video, he states that NMC needs to go down to 8 volts to get full amp ratings. And 8 volts is not good for fishfinder electronics. HOWEVER, on their NMC web page they write the opposite, stating that MCA cust out at 12 volts and starts at 16+ volts. They write, "Why 14.8V NMC Lithium Ion? Since most of our fishing electronics today are made to operate up to 17+ volts, this battery has a working voltage of 16.8V when fully charged and 12V when fully depleted. That means you have the most usable capacity and zero worries of low voltage poor returns/images from your electronics. Unlike the competition selling similar NMC batteries (Usually 11.1V), our batteries use only the best NMC Lithium from Japan. Instead of getting 300-400 charge cycles with NMC from others, Amped Outdoors NMC will give you 800-1000 Charge cycles and a longer life expectancy. " So which is better by Amped Outdoors? And I am wondering if the Amped Outdoors 19 amp NMC is good enough for Livescope and a 10" Garmin screen. (i.e. 106SV) Thanks.

    • @ampedoutdoors6861
      @ampedoutdoors6861  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello, other companies sell 11.1v NMC batteries which have a working voltage range of 12.5v-8v. Our NMC are 14.8V and have a working voltage range of 16.8v to 12v. For a 10" Garmin, the most ideal battery is the 30Ah or large.

      @savvysavage1857 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree. This video contradicts what the websites says about starting at 16.8 and being depleted at 12. He also states in the video that you won’t get the true amp hours on the nmc but on the chart calculations it looks like you do? I’m confused.

      I did wind up buying the 14.8v 32Ah NMC for my Garmin 106 with Livescope and it works just fine for a days fishing for me. But I think the 12v 30Ah LiFePo4 tall battery would have done just as good. With the added bonus of having screw down terminals on top, and the battery bracket they sell it would be a nice setup as well. I did wind up buying a small Blue seas fuse box to run my Electronics to and that worked out real nice. Sorry I don’t know all the real technical data but honestly think either one would be a great choice…..

    What’s the point of quoting Ah with such different working voltages. You should be quoting Wh to make a meaningful comparison.

    I understand the difference I just don't understand the extreme difference in price between one LifePO4 lithium battery to another. Just today I've seen 100 ah LifePO4 lithium batteries go for $489 with charger and shipping to $1499 without a charger. Both 12 volt, both have BMS and both are lithium LifePO4. Why do you think there is such a wide gap in pricing?
