The capsule bag did look super cute but I had my doubts with it being comfortable for my cat. Pointing out the summer heats were a huge help for me as we have more heat here and zero snow. Thank you for narrowing down my hunt. You are a life saver.

Glad to have helped. We have another backpack that we just started using that is similar to the Mr.Peanuts backpack as well that you might like if your cat is bigger. It gives more room for the cat to lay down but lots of features we also like. If you haven't already gotten a backpack, check out the link in the bio to the Jackson Galaxy Backpack, and check out the same companies "The Navagator" backpack. We like that one a lot too.

Great info! Have you reviewed more backpacks since this video? I’m looking for a pack with a *really* sturdy bottom and frame so my cats feel more secure. As well, I’m looking for one that offers rain protection. Twice this year I’ve found myself having to evacuate my apartment due to burst water pipes, and was stuck outside in the rain, at night, with my cat for over an hour. I’ve been using a regular plastic carrier with a blanket on top, but it would be a great feature if there was a backpack that offered some water protection. Would love to know if you know of such a product! Thanks again so much for awesome video!! 😻
We recently tried the Sherpa Bubble Large backpack. We originally got it for our 7 yr old medium sized cat, she won't go inside it. I think she needs a mesh one like the gray one in your review. Thanks for posting this review. In our review of the Sherpa Bubble, we found our large, 11 yr old cat and our 13 month kitten will use it. The kitten obviously has a lot of room. Our large cat can't lie down. So I'm definitely going to check out the gray one.

I just bought the mr. peanut one for the Bobby boy in my pfp. As you can tell he likes bags and he’s been begging to go outside. I am so excited to start taking him for day hikes!
Couple question, about your backpacks, on the mesh I would be scared that if I got one of the big ones for her first backpack that my cat would tear them up. Did your cat try to tear at it? Should I try to get a bubble one till she gets a little more comfortable or one like that with less mesh and more holes?
@@itzapancake The mesh seems to be super durable and tough. No holes in any of the mesh on mine and we have had it a few years. The bubble one I find good for a smaller cat. But the mesh has more spots they can look out and more room. If they are a little nervous you could put a small blanket in there to make them feel more like they can nest.

Well done. Our pack is by Petrip and she loves it. However since Kree is a 14 lb Bengal I find it difficult to wear on the back, so I wear it on the front. Bonus is that she can see me.

Awww my cat Sasha looks just like yours. Her sister, pearl looks just like that except she has alot of white on her in these cute blotches. Like she was supposed to be like Sasha but God decided to paint some white patches on her. I'm currently training them both to travel with me in harnesses and trying to find a nice large backpack carrier for them. I found a double one that fits 2 kitties but I'm not sure if I'm going to buy it yet or not. Trying to find some reviews on it.

try getting him to just wear the harness around the house first. for 5 minutes and then up to 30 minutes, increasing the time slowly. once he's used to that and moving like usual (could be a couple days or a couple of weeks), then you can attach the leash. the key is to understand that cats don't "walk" like dogs. dogs go where you do. cats need more of an area to explore. don't pull the leash. let them go where they want but keep the leash taught when they get to the edge of the allowed area or the edge of the yard. they will slowly learn where the boundaries are. the key is patience and consistency. it's definitely possible though ! i'be leash trained both of my boys.
You have to start when they are kittens. I got both of mine leash trained but put a harness on them the very first day I picked them up to get them used to it.
Wow. I also go with one of my cats for a walk on a leash, but i go where he wants, not where i need to go, so it is quite boring for me - mostly i m just standing while he is exploring and sniffing
The two Achilles heels (dealbreakers to me) with backpack carriers of any sort are: (a) the shoulder straps aren’t well padded and dig into you and hurt after a while (b) poor-quality zippers that are difficult to open and close and break early on Any of the bags you have checked out have issues with either of these?
I haven't had any issues with the zippers on any of them so far. And the backpacks are always a little uncomfortable if you are going for a loooong walk and having to carry your cat the whole time. Luckily squirrel likes to be out for most of a hike but we have done one that she wanted to be carried for a good portion of it and I was definitely sore after. Definitely they aren't going to be as quality as a hiking backpack on comfort since it's more focused on being a cat carrier. But it does the job for what we need. Hopefully they get better and better in the future as they get more popular though.
Jackson Galaxy Backpack it's Aight!! The other two are Ok but I give it 5/5 with confidence but I am awaiting the delivery of "The Fat Cat Travel as it was highly recommended from Kurtis & Chelsea who purchased it for their cat Kona their Bengal he is proper spoilt by them both 😜😂 it looks slicker more comfortable bigger and durable as I have a British Shorthair he is getting big ! We haven't luckily. She seems to be good at holding it and most cats will rather than go in a bag. But if you are worried you can always put one of those puppy pee pads on the bottom of the bag in case of accidents. If it is a suuuuper long trip then maybe look into a way to bring a compact cat litter box with you.

Are you sure they breath well? I am thinking of buying one but im worried he can’t breath, a few holes won’t do much, I once had a bird and he needed to stay still due to his injuries, I put many holes a around 50 maybe, with great sizes and unfortunately it was no good.

Plastic coating is probably just the protective layer you never took off initially?
Yes it is! It's weird because it's really on there and sealed into the sides. But nice that we can pull that off and it's almost a brand new backpack!

How do you get a cat to walk on a leash? I been trying and all he does is lay there..
try getting him to just wear the harness around the house first. for 5 minutes and then up to 30 minutes, increasing the time slowly.

I don't think so. It seems to be super durable mesh with almost a plastic coating on it.

I should have watched you first before buying one. I bought the spaceshuttle looking one but my cat is siamese. I dont think he's comfortable. I just received it today but I dont we'll be using it that much.
