I love when a band responds to another. 'I Wrote Holden Caufield' is brilliant.

Frogstomp by Silverchair was the first CD I ever bought.

That was fun guys. I am so glad I kept all my CDs now. I have probably close to 2000. A majority of those are punk 👊

What a cool record Elliot! I only recently heard of Judge (I think through a Turnstile discussion). Very cool!

Wanna start by saying I love this channel, found out about it just over a year ago, I certainly watch all the tier lists and brackets, and some of the first listens. This segment is also cool. John and I definitely grew up in the same era because I own and have praised probably somewhere between 100-150 of the same albums by now, including non-punk bands. I probably have 80% or so of the CD's myself that are on this video, and yes that includes Silverchair, which I also agree is pretty great! I had Slipknot albums too, but don't like them too much. The one really hot take I have, is I don't, nor have I ever seen the big deal about "Suburban Teenage Wasteland Blues." To me, it's about as generic as a punk/pop-punk record can sound, and every song sounds the same! Not only do I think "Twisted By Design" was a vast improvement by virtually every measurable metric (song writing, production, playing, style, etc) but I pretty much think EVERY album that came after Suburban is better than it. Exile in Oblivion is my personal favorite, and the critically acclaimed "horse album" is pretty much 2/3 of an amazing album to me, with some tracks that admittedly fall short. But some of the guitar work, and particularly the guitarmonies on that album are top-tier for them, that to dismiss it is mind boggling to me. Really, while "Dead Rebellion" has some tracks I love, Jason's vocals are really starting to die on that release, and I also don't like the production very much. Doesn't feel as heavy as previous releases. Anyways that's my rant. Love the channel!

Whoah silverchair. I was there watching them live when they were 15. Absolutely crazy, but yeah their albums got progressively worse and less heavy. I saw them live just as they hit big down here and were still booked to play the back of a truck out back of a festival. People were stage diving off sheds into a pit that filled the whole area. it was crazy.

#TransmissionAlphaDelta was the album that finally got me into Strung Out.

On that Pennywise album “The Fuse”, in my opinion, the only great songs are “Knocked Down” and “Disconnect”. Just my opinion

Remember the Cd clubs in the late 90's and 2000s? Selling punk and every other genre On nice airy open CD format. People ordered CDs in droves and often didn't even play them once (there mint). I've amassed at least 500+ Cd's in mint condition in 1.5 years. @2 bucks a piece at the local Sally Ann stores. Sometimes I walk out with a dozen sometimes empty handed. It just takes some check ins. I got a totl Pioneer SACD Player for dirty cheap too. In 2008 $2000, in 2024 $75 bucks. They sound far superior to compressed files and streaming. Night and day better, as long as the whole system is worthy. My CD collection is 100x bigger than it was when CDs were the mainly used format.

I have about 900 punk cds. All in mint shape and 80% OG presses. Lots of out of print stuff. Like a brand new cd copy of Cigar Speed is Relative. You should buy it all )

There are a few good songs on #TheFuse, but yeah, not a lot and nothing that compete with their best. 4 songs mde my Top70 Pennywise songs. The first, 'Knocked Down' in late 20s.
