Jason, this was a terrific build. Thank you so much for sharing a small amount of your family's history with us. It has been a terrific insight into the times during the war. I've enjoyed this entire experience.

thank you for the kind words, smaller ships do get forgotten about and life on board was very different to being on a capital ship

@@ModelkitStuff that's so small I'd loose all the PE parts to the carpet monster! Lol

    Dear Jason
Your recollection that your great uncle was invalided out of the RN in the early 50s rings a bell.
My grandfather was a regular RN CPO and compled two tours of the China station prior to the outbreak of war.
He was assessed to be vulnerable to TB and thus returned to Civy Street in the early 50s.
Ironically, this diagnosis was incorrect but he died of stomach cancer in 1958.
I am currently building HMS Hood, upon which Fred served in the mid 30s. This is my first return to modelling for many years and I find your videos very helpful.
Thank you and keep up the good work.
    Cheers
    Phil

Many thanks for taking the time to comment and the kind words, my great uncle’s TB spot never came of anything either.

Very nice model, a great tribute to your family who served.
The sea colouring looks good, I have noted the colours you used

Thanks for looking in and your comments. I was quite pleased with the sea colour, glad I have it on video to remember what I used 😉
