    We have a 6x14 single axle too. It is the handiest tool we own. Hauls our ATV’s, lumber, and anything/everything we can think of. Nice work and beautiful property you have.

    You are asking for trouble putting more weight to the back. You need tongue weight for single axle.

      Tongue should always be heavier then back to prevent sway and possiblity of trailer losing control pulling vehicle off the road.

    Im wondering if you could have staggered them? The only thing I see, is it looks like the heavier part of the four wheeler is on the right side of the trailer and possibly the fender is or could scrape that fender.
    Overall, great video brother!

  • @deangood8908
    @deangood8908 4 ปีที่แล้ว +26

    In my opinion he should have put the heaviest in the front. The lightest in the middle and the last one at the end. And now you have all the weight of all three four wheelers on one side of the trailer. NOT VERY SAFE IN MY OPINION.

    • @IsoNurFace
      @IsoNurFace 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I use to pull triples (3 28' trailers) for a freight company. Heaviest is always up front then next heaviest and so on. That way you won't fish tail or snake and you will maintain control of your vehicle easier.

  • @IsoNurFace

    From a safety aspect, you might be asking a lot from that single axle, specifically the weight on the tires. In the video the camera catches the tires when you had the trailer loaded up. The tire was bulging quite a bit, not sure how long the tires will hold up to highway speeds on the interstate. I like your solution overall, just keep an eye on your trailer tires on trips.

    • @jonnybravo9003

      3500lb axle. All weight of the atvs are about 2,000 to 2,500 lbs. plus 800 to 1000 lbs trailer frame weight. The axle will do just fine. Weight capacity is perfect.

  • @outdoorztime2923

    The trailer companies should make trailers more atv friendly. Hauling them pulled up from the side does save space and makes for a better haul while stopping and taking off.

  • @MOAB-UT

    Not safe. If I had to do something like this for a short term solution, I would just cut the trailer. The best solution is to simply buy the correct size trailer- not just for loading but for correct tongue/overall weight distribution. With all three on an angle, there are various issues including more weight to the downhill side of the trailer. Also, one of the ATV's was barely on the wood. Also, always wear a helmet even for something as simple as loading.
